DAY 10-APRIL 10th.
.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.
A lie in was had by all today :thumbsup2,i got up at 7.45am+noticed a piece of paper under the door-if you ring down to reception before 9am,when your out someone would come and hide plastic eggs(filled with candy) in your room for the children to play an easter egg hunt-so i rang down+let them know what time we would be going out+coming back-so 6 eggs would be hidden for the girls when we came back :thumbsup2,i then read the newspaper, watched some news, got myself ready+then woke the other's up at 8.45am.They got ready+we were out by 10.15am,breakfast was packed in the hotel so we decided to go to Friendly's.It was'nt to busy and we were served with our food pretty quick-25mins.
Tony--Lumberjack-3 eggs over easy,2 Sausage+3 french Toast,bottomless coffee.
Me--Sizlin Combo-3 eggs over easy,2 Sausage,2 Bacon,Breakfast Potatoes(which Tony ate)+lge Orange.
Girls shared-2 Scrambled Eggs,2 Sausage,2 Toast.Emily-Sprite,Chloe-Orange Juice.
Tony+the Girls shared a side of bacon.
Total was $32 inc Tip.
It was a great breakfast+even though i begrudged paying for it-as the Hotels breakfast is free ,it was nice to just sit down+have someone dish it up+bring it over for you :thumbsup2.
Next we made our way to the I-Ride trolley stop which took us to Prime Outlets(formerly known as Beltz)it took us aprox 30mins.This had been pulled down and rebuilt since we last visited, but we remember really enjoying it last time-as we are not shopping mall people :scared1:,they had a Disney shop,Universal shop,a huge toy shop that Chloe enjoyed,Baby shop-(baby born,chou-chou-annabel),a lovely food court area where we enjoyed the chinese+hot dogs.Well we was seriously dissapointed when we arrived-it is'nt undercover anymore and the only shop to remain out of our favourites was the Disney Clearance store :sad2:.It seems like they have tried to keep up with the likes of the other 'posh' malls :sad2:.We went into the Disney shop, the girls bought a HSM Locker+a Baby Stich wrapped in a blanket.I spent $135.05 on Christmas Ornaments,Christmas Throw-$17,99,and some Christmas Pressies+stocking fillers for the girls-inc a Christmas Tink soft toy each $8.99,Ballerina Minnie Soft Toy each-$12.99,Disney Colouring Books+Pencils. We had a look in Next but nothing was worth getting for the girls, the other shops did'nt interest us at all-so this is why today felt like a wasted day-it annoyed me to think that we sacrificed another day at AK-to visit here :headache:..A few pics from there.....

We got the trolley+arrived back at the hotel at 2.30pm,where we told the girls to go looking for the eggs, well we looked for about 30mins-before we gave up,i rang down to be told that we was'nt on the list :headache:.,i explained that i had rang down just after 8am.I was told that someone would bring them up to the room asap, sort of took the fun out of it but ok.
We just chilled in the room with some Mountain Dew,Beef Jerky+Cheeto's+the girls played with there Lego.
We got ready and went to reception to see Robert(just in case anyone is wondering i believe he is aprox 55-60yrs old)-where Chloe gave him his thank you card+chocolates,he was very 'touched' by this .I explained about the 'Eggs' as we still had'nt received them-he said he would get onto it+asked what time we would be back.We then went next door to Olive Garden at the earlier time of 5-30pm in the hope of getting a table,we only waited aprox 10mins :thumbsup2.
They bring you free, warm, soft garlic baguettes to the table-these were very tasty.
Tony--Starter of Chicken Gnoche Soup(free),Main-Tuscan Garlic Chicken+pasta+2Pina Colada's.
Me--Starter of Minestrone Soup(free),Main-Lasagne+2 Pina Colada's.
Girls shared Grilled Chicken,Pasta+Sauce,Brocolli(from the kids menu)+2Coke's.
Me+the Girls shared a side of fries.
Total was $72 inc tip.
Now we had heard some great reviews of this place on the Dis+Dibb and could'nt wait to try it.BUT we was not overly impressed, maybe they were having an off day :confused3-it was extremley busy in there-but that should'nt mean the food is'nt great :confused3.Tony said his soup was nice+his main was lovely-very tasty. My soup was way too chunky(but that's just me being picky)my main was just ok,just about warm+had a very strong taste of red wine in it.The girls grilled chicken was very dry+rubbery, but they really enjoyed the pasta+sauce, broccoli+fries. We decided to skip dessert as we still had a mountain of Chloe's birthday cake to get through .
We have decided not to go there again and try Maggiano's Little Italy(I Drive) next time instead...........

We made our way back to the room, where a gift basket+card was waiting for all of us on the table......
PICT2636.jpg

inside was 2 bottles of water,2 bags of pretzels, welch's soft fruit sweets, micro popcorn, butterfinger choc bar+cheese crackers. The card read 'Sorry about the Easter Egg's,have fun trying to find 12 eggs hidden somewhere in your suite'.The girls went off looking+found them within 15mins :thumbsup2,inside each one was things like a Hershes Kiss,Tootsie Roll etc..It was aprox 7.30pm+we all got changed to go swimming.Once back in the room the girls had a bath, ate some cake+were in bed at 9pm.I had a shower+was in bed at 10pm+Tony tells me he came to bed at 11pm as he finished watching My Cousin Vinny.

A few random pics as not many were taking today.......

Coming Up On Day 11-How Many Rides On ET :headache: .Stay Tuned :thumbsup2.x.

:rotfl2: You're dead meat when Tony sees that photo. :lmao:

:thumbsup2 for Cheetos - I've got a bag on the bed behind me that I've been munching all night.

:thumbsup2 for Robert coming through for you again.

Shame about the dodgy meal at Olive Garden. I had the menu in my folder for our trip but we never got round to going there - sounds like we didn't miss much. :confused3

We weren't keen on Olive Garden either, IMO there are way better places for Italian food anywhere ;) I can recommend Buca di Beppo in the Florida Mall for one (we ate at the one in Santa Monica, California which was awesome!)
Shame the shopping day was a bit of a letdown but I like the sound of your Christmas ornament haul, hope you post a pic when your tree is all trimmed up :goodvibes

Shame you felt it was a wasted day, we've yet to visit a shopping mall as we can never drag ourselves away from the parks but we are going to force ourselves this time. ;)

Shame you didn't like Prime, we spent a few hours there in December & although we bought quite a lot it was from a handful of stores. We will go back but only for a few hours, I prefer the malls.

Robert was fantastic! What a lovely gesture with the basket. :worship: I guess you will be returning there on your next trip.

Looking forward to day 10 - you are putting that Craig to shame. ;)

It sounds like we like the same sort of things. We love Friendlys and make a poin t of having at least one visit there. Some say it is cheap and cheerful, others hate it - but we have always had good meals there.
We also didn't rate Olive Gardens, but as I had read nothing but good reports about the place I kept quiet and assumed they were having a bad day. :lmao:

Sounds like you had a lovely chocolate basket - and more hidden around your room as well. Your favourite hotel mamnager came up trumps again :thumbsup2

"Coming up - Day10" I thought this was day 10 - or did you decided to forget this one due to your dissappointment with the shopping mall and your meal :rotfl2:

I am a bit like that with shopping - I have to be in the mood!

love the gift basket, how lovely :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for reading+leaving your comments-as always much appreciated .x.

:rotfl2: You're dead meat when Tony sees that photo. :lmao:
:lmao:,i showed him after i had posted it-i told him you can't delete pics once you have put them up :rotfl2:.x.

Thanks for the recommendation :thumbsup2.
On my last day of my trippie-i will posting pics of the goodies we brought home :thumbsup2.x.

I noticed in your quick trippie you done recently that you ate at most of the places we enjoy :thumbsup2.(we are off to TGI Friday's on Tuesday :cool1:)

Glad i was'nt the only one who did'nt rate Olive Garden-i ws expecting a backlash from not rating it very well.

Oops about Day 10-thank you for pointing it out :thumbsup2.x.

We haven't been to Prime since it was Belz, sounds like we aren't missing much. I am a sucker for the American shops, I'm afraid! Will look forward to seeing your photos of all the stuff you bought (ooooo, shopping!)

Another great gesture by your hotel manager with the basket, and the Easter Egg hunt is such a lovely idea.

Laur's xx

It's a shame that you thought it was a wasted day today...we do try and have day's off when we go but somehow always end up at a park :)
