We actually are at AK on the 18th now... We had to switch around for least crowded parks days... We go to DHS on the 20th now... and the 27th...

Have you stayed at Pop before? We did in 2004 and really liked it... Lots of fun...

We will be at DHS all day, we have an ADR at 50's PTC that evening and we are going to fight the crowds for Fantasmic! We are almost thinking about packing the kids PSP/Nintendo DS for them that day since we want good seats and will have to wait in line for awhile... It will give them something to do...

Get Ipods loaded

At the 1 week mark (Sept.7th)
Order water from Costco
Do online check-in for resort
Get all electronics charged
make sure all memory cards are empty

At the 2 day mark(Sept.13th)
Clean out the fridge
Mark sure all laundry is done
Buy Jordan's food *Got a start on non-perishables yesterday*
Get Jordan a house key

At 1 day out(Sept.14th)
Go to bank, make any deposits, get cash
Delta check-in and print boarding passes
Pack all electronics and chargers

We are sitting here watching the new movie, The Race to Witch Mountain...

We have 35 days until we leave and I still have no Mickey Mail

Alec's birthday party is Friday... He has 5 of his friends spending the night... We bought water balloons, silly string, a ton of candy and snacks, some juice and soda... They are going to put the sprinkler under the trampoline and play video games... My Mom and Dad got him the new Madden 10 for PS3 and it comes out Friday morning so they will be all over that I am sure! Terry and I got him and I-Home for his I touch, Tailor got him a game for the PS3... Terry's parents got him a digital camera!! He is going to love it! It's red, and cute, but I don't think he will notice the cute part! We will make sure he takes pictures to share on our trip report!

I am feeling like a super bad Mom though... The kids just informed me that they want to eat at Garden Grill again this trip and I didn't get an ADR!!! I tried to see if anything was available online, but no such luck!

Does Alec carry a backpack in the parks? Madelyn is 8, and I was wondering if I should have her carry her own stuff, like her pressed penny tube and her autograph book and pen. We will have the double stroller, but my other two are 3 and 1.5, and still need "stuff." I would have to dig through all that junk to find her stuff.

No, Alec does not carry a backpack... Last year we had the penny tubes in my messenger bag/purse... Autograph books with pens were in the top part of Terry's backpack, They wore their lanyards but if they got tired of them or something they put them in the backpack... That was all they really had... So, since we don't have "little ones" Terry just said we would take care of the few things and let them just be "free"... I don't think there is anything wrong with having a kid that age carry their own stuff in a small backpack, I do think that a big backpack would be uncomfortable and hot.... We didn't allow them to take things into the parks that were not needed though also... I think with Alec's new camera, and we will have to wait until he gets it to see, but it comes with a case so if he can carry that himself, he will... We are also going to see if it will attach to a lanyard or something easy for him...

When I was growing up, we went to Disneyland every few years, and I had to carry my own stuff... I bought a Mickey Mouse fanny pack... (Shut-up it was the late 80's/early 90's) And I used that to hold everything, and I didn't have to worry about leaving it laying somewhere...

I just know Im gonna overpack even though Im trying not too, my stack in the corner keeps growing and its only my stuff, plus misc stuff. But so far none of my sons stuff is put to the side because he keeps wearing his shorts.

I thought about it, and something like this might work... I bought it at WDW last year... It is a messenger bag that goes across the chest, but it is a smaller messenger bag... I held all of my items, pressed penny tubes, the kids lanyards, autograph books and pens in there, and it held it just fine...

Under the flap is a spot to carry id's, gift cards, pens, etc...

This is the smaller compartment towards the front of the bag... This fit the autograph books perfectly...

This is the larger compartment in the middle of the bag... This fit bottles of water last year...

This is meant for a cell phone, but fit penny tubes pretty well...

This is a small compartment on the back of the bag... Not too big, but it fit either autograph books, or the lanyards...

My son said he had a dream that it was time to go. It was so cute he is almost 15 but he was as giddy as a 6 yr old talking about going on our trip. My sister hasnt gotten our package yet. Doesn't he know that a neurotic Disney packer cannot wait until being weeks out from a trip!!! Maybe this is why I buy everyone all new clothes... I have been packed since February! Of course with all the money I spent on the clothes we could have probably stayed another week!!!

Did you check the September Swap, trade, cancel, etc reservation post on the DIS you might be able to find the Garden Grill on there and if not you guys are gonna have a blast and they may not even notice or rememeber so don't trip choclate chip!

I thought about it, and something like this might work... I bought it at WDW last year... It is a messenger bag that goes across the chest, but it is a smaller messenger bag... I held all of my items, pressed penny tubes, the kids lanyards, autograph books and pens in there, and it held it just fine...

That is a very cute bag! I wish they had that in Disneyland when I went last year but the only thing i saw was a drawstring backpack that i got with the same desing above except it says 08 disneyland with Goofy n Mickey.

I bought myself a baggallini zipper purse that goes across your chest that i cant wait to get from ebags. Its not big but i think it will be good for me and if not for this trip i can at least use for when i got to local amusement parks or SF Giants games!

Did you check the September Swap, trade, cancel, etc reservation post on the DIS you might be able to find the Garden Grill on there and if not you guys are gonna have a blast and they may not even notice or rememeber so don't trip choclate chip!

I did look over there and see if anyone had it, but didn't see it... I am really not willing to give up Le Cellier or Teppan Edo, so they will just have to let it go unless we can get a walk up(HA yeah right!) on the 21st and move Big River Grill to a different night...

We totally do have a milkman... He delivers every week... He is expensive though so we are thinking after vacation we will go back to getting it at Costco... We can get 2 gallons for 3.50 there and the milkman charges 3.50 each plus a fuel charge...

Do you have a Costco membership? I can't remember if I asked you that or not... I have the address for Pop the way it needs to be listed and I was told to order it a week out and it would be waiting for us...

We havent done it on our last few trips to DL so my son n i are excited to do this plus i found like 10 pins we can use to trade and new lanyards. I also came across the kids old autograph books and my step daughter had this look on her face (she can't come with us because of the cost of her sweet 16 party in December at that) her look was can you get me autographs. So i asked her if she wanted me to get her some autographs and she got this huge smile and said YES! So cute!

The kids pin trade with cast members... Just for fun... I think Terry may this year... We bought 100 pins this time around... Last year we bought 25 for them to split... The kids have fun with it, and I like that the cast members have easy rules and the kids do not have to worry about knowing what a pin is worth or if it is rare or not... It's kinda cool cause you can get very serious about it or not serious at all, it's something for everybody... Tailor is dying to find the last one she needs to have the entire princess license plate collection though!

Kind of sounds like me. I have a spot in my closet that my suitcase sits open and I continually throw things in it... especially when I do to Target I think I would marry Target if I could. But that suitcase also houses my Disney-only items and the only time it ever gets moved is when I go to WDW.

Honestly i usually am the last minute packer but after seeing your PTR and some others its inspired me, I hope to actually start putting things in the suitcase this weekend. I took it out of my daughters (step but i just call her mine) closet last night so next step putting my stuff from the corner in the bag. I even have my hair stuff, toiletries, snacks etc... already aside. This is HUGE for me!

That is sooo cool about the milkman, i truly thought that was non existent these days. I hear ya though on the cost. I do have a Costco memebership (was just there yesterday gettin my milk) Please inform me on how it should be listed and do i just go into my local costco to place the order? I saw on a post somewhere that the hotel may charge a $10 fee to get the water delivered there have you heard that? Maybe I should call our resort? YIKES Sorry for the 20 questions but you are my sensi! (did i spell that right...oops there i go with another question!)
