The Sea Witch Stole My Voice! Our Two Week Land and Sea Adventure! COMPLETE 4/12

I love the Beauty and the Beast show. It is my second favorite in all of DW (FOTLK is first).

I have the same exact Baggallini as you and Kristel has the same one too!

Thanks for the birthday trip mini TR. The water park looks neat. Is it connected to Ceder point??

How funny that you are most like Maleficent!

CE has the same Baggallini as well! ;)

The water park is not inside Cedar Point but is separate and right next to it. There is a little walkway between the two that has some shops/restuarants and leads to a back entrance to Cedar Point.

Lessa,

Hi I have been lurking for awhile now and I am loving your trip report. I am also doing a trip with my Mom (land only) and have gotten some good ideas from your report. Can't wait to hear more.

Is the dis slow lately or have I lost all my readers because I am taking so long to get to the cruise portion? :confused3;)

Ok Here's my excuse. I've been reading when I can. We just moved into our new house Friday afternoon.

Then we leave for San Diego tomorrow! Our daughter Nova does not know, total suprise for her. So while unpacking, I've been packing. :rotfl:

Great job on the Mickeys! :thumbsup2

I haven't seen that Belle before.

Eek on the hole!! :scared1:

Thanks, I was very proud of my first Mickey. The animation teacher does a great job of walking you through the steps so that even artistically challenged people like me can produce something recognizable. :lmao:

Hi there! Your trip should be lots of fun, I'm glad you are finding my TR informative. :cutie:

Hmmm, Well I guess I can forgive you. ;) Congrats on finally getting into the new house!

Just catching up after being away and it looks as though your trip to Toledo was fun, the water park looks fantastic!

Love all your PP photos and with TSM apparently you need to hit all the small targets so they'll open up to big ones!

The water park was fun. Alek said it was just as fun as a Disney water parkm just didn't have the theming.

Once Beauty and the Beast was over it was time for us to hustle. We had an ADR at Sci-Fi in about 15 minutes time that we had to get to. I of course did have to pause a few times to snap some pictures as the Streetmosphere performers were out in full force!

Also had to pause and get a picture with one of the Star Wars backdrops that had already been set-up.

D6226.jpg

We arrived right on time for our ADR, we ended having to wait 20 minutes or so to be seated which was rather annoying as for pretty much that whole 20 minutes they kept calling out for a party that had obviously left. How about seating the people that are actually there and hungry!

We did get seated eventually though, we were in the backseat of one of the cars.

D6227.jpg

First thing to do was order our drinks. I of course had to get the Oreo milkshake, delicious! My first job as a teen was at an ice cream shop and I used to make cookies and cream milkshakes all the time, simply the best!

D6230.jpg

Mom ordered the Italian Grilled Chicken Sandwich - With bruschetta topping served on a Kaiser Roll with cucumber-melon salad or fries.

D6231.jpg

She said it was very good.

I of course ordered the cheeseburger like a good Diser. It was also very good!

D6232.jpg

I was very tempted to order the cheesecake for dessert as the pictures I see always make it look so good. I was stuffed from my burger though and knew that I would not be able to handle it.

Our waitress offered to take some pictures of us in the car which was very nice of her, I didn't even have to ask her.

Overall I give Sci-Fi two thumbs up and I would definitely eat here again. The food was good, the atmosphere was great and the movie clips were very entertaining. I think Alek and Erich would probably enjoy it too. Word to the wise, it gets pretty chilly in there with the AC so it might be a good idea to bring a light sweater.

After lunch we had no definite plans, just wander and do whatever, whenever.

We were walking past Star Tours and there was no wait so we decided to take a ride.

When we were exiting the ride through the dump shop a CM beckoned us over to this photo area set up in the store. They take a picture of your face and superimpose it over that of a Star Wars character on a poster. It is free to try so Mom and I said "Why not!"

Well lets just say that is the best Mom and I have ever looked! :lmao: I got to be Padme in her white outfit with her stomach exposed from Episode II, I looked good! Mom got to be some red Jedi chick, she also looked really good. We were so pleased with the picture but it was really expensive to buy, something like $30+ so despite how good we looked we passed on buying it. I kinda regret that now, oh well. If they made it more affordable I am sure tons of people would buy them.

Outside the shop there was a photopass photographer at the Star Wars speeder from Episode VI, sorry I don't know the technical name for this thing, I am sure one of the Star Wars nerds out there can tell me. ;) Well I decided to get my picture on it as I was sure that it would be swamped with people when we came back the next day for Star Wars Weekend.

Turns out it was a good thing I had the picture taken this day as the next day that area was used to get pictures with Chewbacca and the Ewoks.

Mom and I looked at the Times Guide and decided that we would go see the next and final showing for the day of Lights, Motor, Action. We still had quite a bit of time so we walked slowly down the Streets of America and paused for some photopass pictures.

The wind was doing crazy things to Mom's hair, I think it is hilarious!

This has to be one of my favourite photopass pictures of the trip.

Coming up: Lights, Motors, Actions and an encounter with the most negative person on the face of the planet!

No way have you lost your readers! I am following along faithfully!!! Though I can't wait til you get to the cruise portion, I am definitely loving the WDW portion as well. And the mini-TR to Ohio was great also. It was really cool to see some pics of Cedar Point, as I've always heard lots about it.

I'm glad that you liked Sci-Fi, especially since we have a dinner ADR there for our trip next month!! And I have to agree on your favorite photopass pic in your last update. With the wind blowing like it was, it definitely makes the pic realistic!! As always, can't wait for more!:thumbsup2

I am hoping that we get to go into Cedar Point proper next summer and get our ride on. Some of those coasters look absolutely terrifying and awesome!

I thought the same about the wind enhancing the look of the picture. :thumbsup2
