Okay so I'm not a Disney veteran so I don't know if military discounts are just an ongoing thing or not. Anyway, we're planning our 2nd trip for April 2010 and I already told my boyfriend we'll probably get a good deal/discount once the 2010 package deals are released. I think our package right now is a steal as is but that's just me!:rotfl: Anyway, he said to check into military discounts and I told him if it came down to it, we'd have to choose the military discount or the package deal. He THINKS I'm so wrong and that we can apply his discount to the package deal. I swear he's a cheapie if I ever saw one!

So I already emailed my TA but can you settle this and let us know which one is right? :confused3

Only 1 discount allowed....this year for example you could do the special military tickets and 40% off your hotel room or you could choose free dinning (a package discount)....you couldn't do the 40% off the room and free dining.

Yup, only 1 discount allowed. Also, take note that Disney doesn't always offer a military discount. In fact, in the past 4 trips we've taken this is the only one we've been able to use a military discount on. It's very likely that Disney won't be offering a military deal like they did this year. My only suggestion is that if they are offering different packages/deals to check and see which one gets you the best deal. Sometimes the military deal worked out better and others the free dining was a better deal.

The military discounts for this year are really really good. You get 40% off your room and can add dining without buying the tickets with the package. The actual military person is free, then can purchase up to 5 5day base tickets for $99 for friends/family. That has to beat about any other plan. However these are quite restricted on who can get it. We had gotten emails about being elligible for military discounts with Disney but this one we are not.
