Now Bring Me That Horizon ~ It Begins P115

Congrats sweetie!!! She is beautiful and you are so deserving!!! I am SO glad it all worked out for you in the end!!!!

It's gorgeous! She's worthy of her name.

Congrats on your new car. I love the color and I know how Honda's metallic paint sparkles. It is really pretty. My civic has metallic paintthat sparkles too.

She is so shiny and purdy!! pirate:

Yay! There's nothing like a new car! And sooo cute! Enjoy!!

That one is exactly like my boss's car! I get to ride in from time to time when she and I go out to lunch together. I think you will really enjoy it.

Oh, Calypso is so pretty! I bet the POTC soundtrack sounded perfect in it!

Ahh she is beautiful!! Enjoy!!

Thank you, everyone!

We really are all loving this car! It's a smooth ride, and of course, the first CD we played in it was the first Pirate's soundtrack. We have since christened it with some of our favorite Disney CDs, like the 50 year (Disneyland) anniversary CD, and the MK Special Events (MNSSHP music) CD. Very, very nice!

You ever have one of those moments of clarity that just takes your breath away?

I had one of those yesterday. It was finally hot enough (and not raining enough) to go swimming in Nana's pool and not freeze to death. So after I got home from work, HRH and I got ready to head on out. We had some errands to run first, and did those, and then picked up Mom and headed to Nana's.

After we were finished swimming, we noshed on my lovely seven layer dip with yummy tortilla chips. Sometimes it's fun to have junk for dinner. And given that I'd totally skipped lunch (an accident, I assure you) I was starving!

So we're all sitting at Nana's table and I'm so grateful. I'd had a very challenging week at work, one that I was grateful to have over. And I was actually craving some time with Mom, Nana, HRH, and myself. Some chill time with a glass of wine and nachos (so classy, ha ha) and just sitting and enjoying like when I was a kid and I went swimming at Nana's. Although, when I was a kid, it would have been soda, not wine. :lmao:

As I said, we're sitting at the table chatting, and I say to HRH, "When are we going to Disney? What month?" And he looks at me blankly. Usually he'll say September.

And then, Nana says, "Next month."

And I thought, oh my god.

That was my moment of clarity. Even though it is essentially two months away, I am going to Disney World next month.

Amazing. On the ptr front, as you all know, I charged a portion of my down payment on my new car on the Disney Visa card, so I'll be getting some hefty reward dollars for that. I also went ahead and transferred the money from our vacation savings in preparation for paying off the trip. I went ahead and charged that to the Disney Visa as well, so that's all set.

Unfortunately, I did it online and they automatically attached my credit card to my room for charging privileges while we're there. I never, ever do that, for many, many reasons, and I was quite displeased. I called, and very nicely asked to have it removed, but they apparently don't have the capability to do that. I can request it at check in. I was upset, but got over it. We'll have to take care of it when we get there.

At least I'm satisfied in the knowledge that the trip is paid for. I've also been socking away money from DH's weekend job for spending and to upgrade us all to annuals. The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards it. It pretty much guarantees we'll take another trip before HRH goes to kindergarten, and I'm all for it. I have a time of year I'm leaning towards as well, but we'll save that for later. ;)

Now I've also been a busy little bee in that certain DISers...you know who you are...have asked me to make tie dye shirts for them. Basically, I've started a little side business. I have a separate e-mail address, Paypal account, and everything set aside for it, and it's rather exciting. I'm even thinking of extending to Ebay and seeing how that goes. You never know. If anyone wants info, please PM me, I don't want to disobey DIS rules. :thumbsup2

So, without further ado, here are the fruits of my labor.

DSCI04062-1.jpg

I actually used a new technique this time. Instead of the rather tedious stitching process, I just banded a circle and then painted on the Mickey heads afterwards. I really like the way these came out, because there's a little bit more control over the integrity of the Mickey head. I hope you like them! You know who you are. ;)

Anyway, I'm going to be making another round this weekend hopefully, perhaps even later today. And that's pretty much it for the trip front.

I'm debating putting a LGMH on my purse. There are so many of you that may run into us on this trip. I normally don't identify myself in this way, but I have a few planned meets as well, so I'm almost thinking, why not?

How do you go about making those? What's the best way? I have some left over from my Home Depot raids last year. :lmao: Do you laminate? Instruct me, wise DISers. :thumbsup2

The closer your trip gets, the more exciting, right? I had one of those clarity moments when I saw my ticker yesterday that said, "Two months." I must get on the ball with this whole planning thing. I don't feel like I have done much at all with it. I have a hotel room and two ADRs -- that's it! And some DIS meets planned. :thumbsup2

I never attach a credit card to my room either, so I can identify with your consternation!

The shirts are super cute! You are doing a fantastic job on them!

Hey, there's nothing wrong with winging it! I know, by nature, we are all planners, or we wouldn't be here, but you enjoy some spontaneity too! :goodvibes

Very frustrating. And given that we lost/threw one out once, I do not want anything on that but my room key.

The shirts are super cute! You are doing a fantastic job on them!

Thanks! I'm having a lot of fun. :goodvibes

The shirts turned out great, I really like the Mickeys. They came out awesome. :thumbsup2 It looks like all the tie dye is radiating from Mickey, very neat.

Wow. I didn't realize it was next month until I read your update. I can't even think about my trip right now I have so much else going on and that when I do look at my ticker I get all panicky.

Woo Hoo for we're going to Disney NEXT MONTH!! :cool1: It will be here before we know it!

Congratulations on the new car. That's a great feeling, isn't it? I just bought one too and also put a chunk of the down payment on the good 'ole Disney Visa for some reward points. :yay: Can you tell me - do we get automatically credited for the charge with points and I can pay it off or do we have to wait until a statement date to get credit? :confused3 I'm anxious to get it off there but don't want to jeopardize my Disney $$!!

The shirts look great!! :thumbsup2

The trip is coming up so quickly! You'll be in Disney before you know it. If you do the LGMHs definitely laminate. I went without once and they got wet the first day and were destroyed.

the shirts are turning out great! 1 month, how incredibly exciting!

I hear you, sometimes, just noshing on junk food, with good friends or family, outside with a drink is just...the best. Kind of like a beach novel, just something that just...oh...feels so nice, so lazy, and so decadent really. Light, fluff and fun!

Your car is FABU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 month!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! I really tried for that effect when I painted them on as well, so it's nice to know I succeeded! :goodvibes

I know how you feel. In essence, we're prepared, but there's so much yet to be done!

Woo Hoo for we're going to Disney NEXT MONTH!! :cool1: It will be here before we know it!

I know! I can't wait!

Actually, regardless of if you make the payment now or wait until your cycle ends, it will credit you whatever your purchases were during that cycle. So you should have no problem if you want to take care of that right away. I happen to be near the end of mine anyway, so riding it out for a few days is no biggie. :thumbsup2

The shirts look great!! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Excellent point, thanks.

So true! I had an incredibly degrading work week. Made me feel less than human. It was so nice to be with people who love me.

Your car is FABU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it more every day!

1 month!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really, really lovin' those shirts! :thumbsup2

We do bean dip all the time! Wine to go with? That sound too good to be true! Definitely will be trying that next time!

Oh, I long to go swimming in a real pool again! We share the river with the cows and horses (and take really good showers afterwards).

Clarity of thought moments? With 5 kids, I think I have about 20% of the brain I started with; I don't have many CTM's anymore... (remember they hijack 1/2 of what you start with each time).

Glad to hear it. :thumbsup2

It's a little decadent, but so worth it. :thumbsup2

I totally need to order some tye-die shirts from you! PM me with the info, please!
I love saying "We're going to Disney next month", we were going at the end of June, but it did not stop us from using that phrase, too!

Holy Moly we will be at Disney next month won't we LOL...I can actually say I'll be in Disney next month WOW...what a thought...and at times it seems so far away and other times I don't have enough time to get everything done I need to!!

Love the pictures of the car...so very very nice!!

I love those shirts...you did an amazing job on them!!!!

Can't wait to hear more!!!!!!

See that one...all the way to the right?

It's mine.

And I am so super excited!!!!!

As for LGMH...I think the best thing to do is to write whatever you want on each side then laminate them together and cut around the edges, making sure to leave a little bit on the edge so that they don't come apart.

Ok my friend...you need some more math help....

Child #1 left you with 50% of your original brain.
Child #2 took half of that and left you 25%.
Child #3 took half of that and left you with 12.5%
Child #4 took half of that and left you with 6.75%
Child #5 took half of that and left you with a whopping 3.375%.

Which is why you can't do math. :rotfl:

Can you tell I am feeling better?!?! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I never thought of my trip as being NEXT month - I keep thinking 2 months, and then I checked my ticker and its LESS than 2 months. Woo Hoo, for next month!!!!! Sounds like a relaxing day at the pool for you. I know my pool has finally warmed up and before you know it we'll be closing it back up! Great job on the shirts!:goodvibes

I know exactly how you feel.

Thank you!

Thank you so much! It pleases me to know so many people (including the ones who will be wearing them) like them. I do second guess myself a little, and your affirmations are reassuring. :thumbsup2

See that one...all the way to the right?

It's mine.

OMG, Maroo! When I was rinsing that one out, and when it finally came out of the dryer, I said to myself, this one is Maroo's. I'm so glad you like it!!! :goodvibes

I have quite a few LGMH, so I'll have to practice and see how I do. Maybe I'll post my attempts on here and you can tell me what you think.

I am glad to see you feeling better.

Even if it is at Liesa's expense.

Sorry, Liesa. ;)

I know, isn't it amazing? Now, am I remembering correctly that you're going to be at Rose and Crown on the 27th?

You were one of the reasons I thought of attaching the LGMH to my bag. I thought, how is this poor woman every going to recognize me, unless she really memorized what I look like from the neck down??? :lmao:

That's so sweet that you were thinking of me - Aw, shucks. And what do you mean not recognize you -does this mean you don't really have a black mickey shaped head? Never would've guessed. Besides, I'll know you by your cute bag!
Anyway, I'll be easy to locate (or hard to ignore, depending on your point of view). DD12 will be sulking, texting, and glaring at DS8, who will be fighting with DD5 because he just kicked/insulted her. DD5 ( who looks like the sweetest little angel with her huge blue eyes) will be yelling at him with a mouth like sailor. DH will be quietly ignoring all this while he enjoys a very large Guinness, and I will be looking for a window in the bathroom to crawl out of. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but just a little.
You won't have to put up with us too long, we tend to eat fast - I don't know why but we get the quickest waiters.:rotfl2:
I hope we run into you, you can tell me how you enjoyed Big Bad Voodoo Daddy -I'm hoping to catch the 6:15 show before our Illuminations cruise at 8.
