"This Isn't Disneyworld. . .It's Rainworld!!" our trip to WDW May 16-23, 2009

I love your trip report Finally all finished and waiting for more.
Your girlies are adorable they look a lot like my dds when they were your dds' ages.

Thank you!! I'm so glad that you're enjoying my TR!! Welcome!!

I just got completely caught up on your trip report...took awhile because I had to go back and read your pre-trip report first! :) I enjoyed every minute of it and can't wait for more. Your girls are precious and I have a thing for hairbows. You do a great job!!!

Welcome to my TR Nikky!! Oh wow!! You read the PTR, too! I'm impressed! Thank you! I'm so glad that you've enjoyed it so far! Thank you!! I really enjoy making hairbows!! :cutie:

I like your new van. I have a Dodge van right now and I had a Chevy van before that. I can't imagine not having a van now.

Love the new van! So pretty! I figure next time we get a new vehicle, it will have to be a van. I love my Trailblazer, but with 2 car seats, no one else can ride with us! It would be nice to have the extra space!

I am so happy for you and your new car:woohoo: Having more space is so wonderful, isn't it? I hope you are enjoying it:goodvibes Also wanted to say that I am anxious to read another update...hope to see one soonpopcorn:: No rush though--haha:lovestruc

Good job pretty van and I love the color. Congrats

Thank you Lizet!!

Fun, new car! :thumbsup2 Awesome!

Thanks Katie!!

Thank you Katie!! It IS wonderful!! We are definitely enjoying it!! I've been busy making hairbows all day. I hope to take a break and write an update later tonight!

I LOVED your PTR-probably my favorite that I've read so far. I really enjoy the planning and all the ideas people have. It helps pass the time! I love the countdown you did - would you mind if I copied you? :) What day did you start it? I wanted to do a 100 day countdown but I might end up with rings all the way through my house! haha

Thank you Nikky!! I appreciate the kind words! Of course you can steal my countdown idea!! We starting counting down 30 days out.

Ok--so we left the Contemporary after a wonderful breakfast at CM and took the monorail to MK! We arrived at MK around 9:40 a.m., had our bags checked, and made our way to the PP photographer standing out front. Here are the pics that were taken:

And one I took of Ally

Our goal for today was to meet the fairies in Toontown! So we headed in that direction as soon as we entered the park. But quickly stopped to take this adorable pic (Ally loves to pose--can you tell?!)
108.jpg

We made it to Toontown at exactly 10:00 a.m.!!
110.jpg

Brent was pushing the stroller and I was taking as many pics as I could along the way b/c it wasn't raining yet! I wasn't sure what I was going to be able to get later in the day. Anywho, I was walking sooo fast and with a purpose to get in that fairy line!! I thought I heard someone calling my name so I finally looked around and there was Julie (TwoRoos) and her family! Apparantly she had been calling my name several times but I hadn't heard her since I was in a fairy zone!! :lmao: She had the same goal to see the fairies so we quickly parked our strollers and got into the fairy line--wait time 70 minutes! Ugggh!

Julie and me in line

Ally and Macy hit it off immediately! (checking out what they wanted to see today)
116.jpg

I was so thankful that we were in line with them--they made the time pass quickly. Claire was entertained by everyone and happy for the most part. I enjoyed talking to Julie and Brent enjoyed talking to Julie's dh, Dustin.

We waited some more and it was finally our turn to be shrunken down to fairy size!! (what a cute touch!!)
127.jpg

Alll in all we ended up waiting about 55 minutes to see the fairies (the longest thing we stood in line for on our trip except the night we stood in the rain for Fantasmic!) But it was well worth the wait! We were greeted by Silvermist (Ally was sooo excited b/c Silvermist is her next favorite fairy after Tinkerbell).
Image0729.jpg

Again, I was very impressed with how much time they took interacting with my girls.

continued in next post . . .

I'm so dreading that wait, but meeting Tinkerbell is all that Lily can talk about so I guess we'll do it.

Love your girls' outfits, of course. Was Ally's hair stiff from BBB? That's my only concern about doing BBB - Lily has a lot of hair, and I just don't know how I feel about trying to get all that product out of it.

What a fun time; while waiting...that was so lucky!
Great pictures...Dayne (DS17) sitting here on the side of me and asked what is the matter w/Tink's hair--Silvermist is much prettier!
anyhow, great shots I love how Ally is sooooo photogenic and Claire is getting good, too.

Then it was Claire's turn to meet Tink!!
Image0773.jpg

Image0779.jpg

And the final fairy the girls got to meet was Fawn!!!

We said our goodbyes and exited through the store. Ally and Macy stopped to check out the Tinkerbell merchandise!
165.jpg

166.jpg

Then Ally & Macy and their daddies took them to ride Goofy's Barnstormer
barnstormer1.jpg

Julie and I sat with Claire and Bailey as they enjoyed some pretzels and frozen lemonade!
181.jpg

After they got off of the Barnstormer we decided to go our seperate ways.

Ally & Macy after we told them we'd be saying goodbye

sad goodbyes
185.jpg

We told the girls that we'd be seeing each other again. Julie is originally from Memphis and her parents still live here. So we promised the girls we would get together when they came down for a visit. They were NOT happy with us! It was so sweet how connected Ally & Macy had become--and so quickly! They were instant friends!

I tried to cheer Ally up by suggesting we go to the Judge's Tent to meet Mickey & Minnie. (I realize that we had just met them at breakfast but I wanted the PP pics) So we quickly walked through Mickey's house and took some pics in his garden. (Brent decided he would walk around with Claire)

And into the tent we went!
192.jpg

The line was wrapped all the way around the inside of the building and ended right at the door. I was worried that the wait was going to be crazy so I decided to ask the CM how long the wait was. She said it would only be 30 minutes so we decided to stay. I could not believe how fast that lined moved!! I was shocked and impressed! We didn't stand still for long and finally it was our turn! We only ended up waiting 25 minutes.

big hugs for Mickey!!

I just LOVE the pics the PP photographer took! He was GREAT!! He took sooo many pics!

Then I told the PP photographer that I would like to be in some pics and he was happy to oblige!

We had such a great time hanging out with Minnie and Mickey. Right before we left Mickey told Ally, "I love you" while making the motions with his hands. It was adorable and Ally was thrilled! We met back up with Brent and Claire and decided to take a ride around the park on the train.

We really enjoyed the ride around the park. It was neat getting to see everything from a different perspective. Plus it was very relaxing! Once we made the loop around the park, we were back at Toontown. We got off of the train and walked the back way towards the Tomorrowland Speedway. Claire and I found a spot in the shade next to the track while Ally & Brent got in line. We watched and watched as cars rode by. I was ready and waiting with my camera! Ally & Brent came by so quickly that I was only able to get this shot:
241.jpg

We decided that we had better see Storytime With Belle before it started raining again. The next show was at 2:30 p.m. so we went ahead and grabbed front row seats around 2:10 p.m. I gave the girls some Goldfish for a snack and to pass the time.

Ally was really excited about this show
243.jpg

Soon after 2:30 the show began and out came Belle!!
254.jpg

This Belle was a great storyteller and really drew everyone into what was going on! My girls were on the edge of their seats!! Then they started choosing children from the audience to become part of the story. I was really hoping that Ally would be chosen--this kind of stuff is right up her alley! But unfortunately she was not chosen. The kids that were chosen were adorable and did a great job!
263.jpg

Claire sat very still throughout the entire show
266.jpg

Then Belle started talking about The Beast as her helpers searched out someone to play this role.
265.jpg

This Daddy was chosen!! He got really into his part! It was great!
273.jpg

So once the Beast turned back into a prince, everyone took their bows and the show was over. I am sooo glad that we got to see this show! It was so much fun! It's definitely something we'll do again!

I took a quick pic of Ally looking at the castle
288.jpg

And then we walked around Cinderella's Rose Garden. It was beautiful!
290.jpg

We decided to stop again and get some PP pics since the weather was cooperating. These ended up being some of my favs of our trip!!
Image0854.jpg

Image0863.jpg

Image0870.jpg

Then we ran into another PP photographer as we were walking towards Tomorrowland!

Image0904.jpg

We ended up walking through Tomorrowland. . .
298.jpg

. . . back to Fantasyland!
302.jpg

We decided it was time for a snack! I had my very first frozen banana which was INCREDIBLE!!! Brent had a frozen lemonade and Ally had a Mickey ice cream sandwich.
303.jpg

Up Next: Will Ally ride her very 1st roller coaster? Will the rain hold off? How/where will we end our day?

Well thankfully the wait is soooo worth it!! I promise!! Thank you Shannon! Yes, Ally's hair was very stiff from the BBB but I'm glad it was b/c it lasted all week! Ally has a lot of hair, too and it wasn't horrible getting out the product.

What a fun time; while waiting...that was so lucky!
Great pictures...Dayne (DS17) sitting here on the side of me and asked what is the matter w/Tink's hair--Silvermist is much prettier!

Yes, we had a wonderful time hanging out with Julie and her family! It was great to meet yet another DISer!! Our Silvermist WAS beautiful and so was Fawn! Brent kept commenting on how beautiful Fawn was. Thank you--yes, Claire is getting much more photogenic (thankfully). Wait until you see my pics from CP!!

Don't you love how Mickey and Minnie are now together. Makes for a great photo op! We had great interaction there too. It looks like Mickey has Tink in his hand in the one picture. Very cool!

Crazy wait on the fairies. We'd love to do the fairy meet in WDW but may have to wait until the lines calm down a little.

Love your new van. Great color choice.:thumbsup2 I'm a mini-van mom too and love it! We've had several times when all seats were filled to capacity with other children either on play dates or carpools. I love being able to push a button and have the doors slide easily open and shut. It's great for dropping the kids off at school in the morning. You'll love your new van! Great choice.

Wow! LOVE the update! Cant wait to go see the faries...they were not there when we were! All of your photos are sooo good! I think best ones of the trip...especially mickey and minnie w/ally in the tent---worth the wait:goodvibes Can't wait to read more and see how Ally liked the rollercoaster:yay:

Oh I loved your update!

How cute is Ally in her diva sunglasses?! She is just the cutest!

And I teared up a little myself at seeing how sad the 2 girls were to part ways - that was so sweet that they wanted to spend more time together!

Another wonderful update, Becky! I am so excited you all got to meet the fairies!!! The pictures with Tink are just too cute! So are the pictures with Mickey and Minnie! How wonderful that the girls got along so well, but how sad they are when you had to split up! I am so glad the rain held off for you, and you were able to enjoy the Magic Kingdom for awhile! :thumbsup2

Did it used to be just Mickey? I did love that they were together!! It certainly makes the wait worth it!! Yeah--the fairy wait IS crazy! But I do think it's worth it! I've heard if you get there right when the rope drops to Toontown then the wait is not as long. Thank you! I'm sooo happy with the van! It will be great when I have to drop Ally off at school. She figured out how to work the doors before I did!! sooo funny!

Thanks Katie! The fairies are wonderful!! You will not be disappointed!! YEs, I just loved the Minnie/Mickey pics, too!! That photographer was fabulous!!

Thanks you Katie! Hee hee!! She loves her Sharpay sunglasses (as she calls them). Yes, I didn't quite expect that reaction from the girls. It was very sweet!!
