Kindle for the cruise?

This cruise is a little different than others I have been on. We will have the Disney Cruise Line activities AND the DIS activities (hopefully), so I was thinking. Would it be worth my time, money and effort to have a Kindle on the cruise or are we just going to be busy little bees?

Anyones experience from the 1st DIS cruise would be appreciated.

I found time to read some on 1.0 before I went to bed each night - on my verandah under the stars. :goodvibes

If you want to be busy on the cruise every minute of the day then you can or if you want to relax and read on a lounge chair the entire cruise then you can do that too. That's the wonderful thing about the cruise - you can do as much or as little as you want and still have a wonderful time.

So, I say bring the Kindle if you like to read - you never know what you might be in the mood to do. :)

I am a voracious reader. I have a Kindle. I know that you can put your Kindle in a ziploc bag to read by the pool or on the beach (to protect it), but I chose to bring along a paperback to PCC 1.0 instead.

That said, the only time I opened it was on the adult beach at Castaway Cay and I think I read about 10 pages before I got into a conversation with my new best friends, then there was lunch with my new best friends, etc.

It's up to you. But like Tonya said, you can relax or you can go-go-go.

I don't see a book.:goodvibes

I look like a mushroom in that hat and sunglasses. :scared1:

If you insist upon calling yourself a mushroom, then I would have to say that you look like Toad's Girlfriend from MarioWorld. Smart and sassy.

I'm going to say it depends on you and your family. Kids don't allow for reading time (I should know).

If you are the shy type or don't join in on a lot of the unplanned events, then yes, you will have time to read.

If you plan on putting yourself out there and joining in and meeting lots of people, then no, you won't have time to read.

JMO.

Well, my two special needs kids don't allow me to read at home and I am definitely not shy, so I guess I will stay illiterate.
