Here are a couple of photos of the "upgraded" grills that have been installed on the premium campsites:

These shelves move-so here is what it looks like if the shelf is rotated to the other side:

I have these photos because I was amazed at the placement of this grill on this site in the 600 loop (that is site #617 in case you would like to request it). There aren't any other grills this close to a sidewalk anywhere else in the Fort.

The grills on the preferred, full and partial sites look just like these premium grills, but they do not have the lid or the shelf. And, they are beat up, and a little greasy and rusty, but serviceable. Enjoy!

I've never used a grill like this. Is the charcoal just "exposed" in the front while you're cooking? Can't you catch on fire???

Wow...looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. So close to the sidewalk like that is just plain negligent. Some little kid, or unsuspecting passerby could really get hurt. What loop is this in anyway?

As mentioned, that grill is on a site on the new part of the 600 loop. The site number is 617. The sidewalk in question is the main walkway that everyone camping on the 800 and 900 loops uses to get to the foot bridge that goes to the campfire area. So, not only is the grill too close to the sidewalk, but this is a busy sidewalk that folks will be using in the dark. If you camp on this site, you will have a parade of folks walking by the entire length of your site at least twice every evening. This is a premium site. I would rather have a full hook up site or even a partial site than any of these sites that back up to the road on the 600 loop.

But all Disney has to do is label something "premium" and slap a higher price on it, and people will fight to pay for it, then post on the board FW is full during the time they want because they can't get a premium site and won't consider a full hookup. But that's okay - makes it easier for me.

Holy cow!!! They even provide a bench for the overflow crowd. I think the Fort should be PAYING someone to stay in this site. A noise and gawking fee for the camper is in order.

Shan-man: That is the site right next to 617. The bench is for folks waiting for the 800 loop bus stop, heading toward the Settlement. You can see it better in this photo:

I'll bet you can give us the exact site number.
