Help with Sarasota Springs location request

My husband is just over cancer treatments and a co-worker generously donated points so we could celebrate with a Disney trip! We are going in August and would like to be as close to the main pool as possible. Do we make that request when we check in or can it be done beforehand? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Best wishes to your husband's recovery. The member that booked your trip needs to make the request to Member Services.

The Springs area is the closest.

Requests should be added to the reservation now. Spring is the section "closest" to the main pool/restaurants/Spa. fyi the main pool is also usually the busiest, so you may want to consider another "quiet pool" location if you want to have a lot of relaxing pool time (unless you also want to be close to the Spa and restaurants..)

(I think there is a "scheduler" that assigns rooms about 30 days out. You can always ask at check-in if there would be a better location for you, but DVC is a system designed to run at near full occupancy all the time..)
note" requests are just requests based on the rooms opening up on your day of arrival, not guaranteed...

We just stayed in one of the 8000 buildings in the Grandstand section in May and IMO it was perfect! The bus stop was about a 3 min. walk. We could see the "quiet" pool in that section which is REALLY nice BTW and it was only about a 5 min. walk up to the "main" pool (Highrock) & restaurants and the dock. We went up to that pool one afternoon & it was SO crowded. Had to scrounge around for chairs that we could move & put together etc. We quickly decided the other pool was much nicer. I recommend asking for one of those buildings if you can't get into the Springs section... Have fun & relax!!

SARATOGA Springs is a very large resort, but most buildings are near a bus stop. If your husband has mobility issues, I'd ask to be somewhere that has easy access. I have to agree the springs would be great though.

The best way to procure your request is to make it as soon as the reservation is made. Since it appears your donator did not do that, I'd ask them to do it ASAP. I do agree though....no matter where you are, you'll have a great trip.

I also suggest the Springs area, it is fantastic! Although I agree with other posters that suggest adding the request to your ressie, I also suggest you FAX the request directly to SSR 48 hours before arrival. The scheduler usually secures rooms one full day before check-in as rooms change often. That was suggested to me about 2 years ago and I've done it ever since. Enjoy your trip!!

You can do a Google search to find it, or I just call 407-WDISNEY and they can get it for you. Enjoy!

Yes, call today...Request the Springs...It is terrific!

And yes, call to make an ADR at the Turf Club...This is a gem...Food was yummy, relaxed atmosphere, and great service!
