SSR to OKW?

What is the easiest way to get from SSR to OKW? Is there a walkway between the two, or am I confusing that with the DTD walkways? I want to stop by both resorts on our next trip and figured I'd take a bus from DHS to SSR (since that's the park we'll be at that day), but I'm not sure what would be the best way to get to OKW from there. Or I could go to OKW first if that would be easier - I'm flexible.

Yep, you can walk it. I'm guessing someone will be along in a minute with a map to show you the exact route. We always walk from OKW to DTD and we pass the bridge to SSR along the way.

Indeed you can walk from SSR to OKW. Wear your good walking shoes. The walkway is through the golf course, a lovely walk, but longer than you think. Yes, RCharnay is correct, walking from OKW to SSR, the bridge would take you over the water to the SSR golf pro shop area, the water side of The Turf Club. Not crossing the bridge keeps you on the DTD side and directly to DTD West Side.

After a day in the park, DW and I found the walk to be longer than we had hoped. We experienced Disney magic by way of a wonderful CM that we had spoken to earlier just before our walk. He showed up part way on the walk in a golf cart and offered a ride to OKW. DW and I really liked the walk from there!

The walk takes you to the very backside of OKW, with a good walk to the Main Building.

With a great day, it would be a great walk. I believe in the dark, it would not be recommended.

Personally, I'd take the boat. There is a boat that runs from DTD to SSR to OKW. Then it runs in reverse from OKW to SSR to DTD. Just walk down to the dock and get on.

I am not sure the boats run from DTD to SSR then onto OKW anymore I think the SSR and OKW are seperate boats.

As of last Jan you could go SSR to OKW via boat, While we were waiting for a boat to DTD one pulled up and only half the people got off and the "skipper" said they were going on to OKW. You can the just take a boat from OKW back to DTD and get a bus to the resort where you are staying. It's a really nice boat ride, and as has been metioned the walk is a little long after a day in the park and you end up pretty far from the front desk and main pool area, where as the boat takes right to the main area of OKW.

I beleive with the opening of the THV, the OKW boat does not stop at SSR anymore....and now both boats go to PI for their DtD stop.

We did the walk from DtD to OKW via SSR in June. It was a pleasant walk in the morning. We even saw otters playing while over on the SSR side.

Sounds like maybe my best bet would be to take the bus from DHS to OKW first, then walk to SSR, then walk to DTD and catch the bus back to BC. I'm trying to avoid using the bus too much through DTD since the last time I went to OKW the bus wait was crazy. I don't mind walking, and I might get to take some nice pictures between the resorts.

I wouldn't mind taking the boats either, but I'd really want to know the order of stops before I did this and know for sure whether the boat does go to both resorts.

I think the OKW to SSR to DTD would be the route to use. I would not recommend using the bus to get back to SSR from OKW since during the day you'd have to stop at both Typhoon Lagoon and DTD....can take up to an hour to make what's a 5 minute trip by car. And, if you do have a car....that's the best way to do the tour!

We rode the boat from OKW to DTD on July 4th. It went straight from the hospitality house to PI in DTD.

You could take the bus to OKW/SSR, walk to the other, then the boat to DTD to catch a bus to BC.

You could also catch an EPCOT bus from SSR/OKW if you'd prefer to walk through EPCOT.

or catch a bus from OKW/SSR to DHS then boat it back to BC.

Yup, thought about doing this too, but I figured after the walk between OKW and SSR that I might not want to do the walk from DHS or through Epcot to BC.

Guess I'll wait and see how much walking I want to do and what the weather is like that day (if it's raining I'll be riding the buses no matter how long it takes me!). At least now I know what other options there are.

Does this mean that the SSR boat does not go to the Marketlplace, or do they stop at PI and then on to Marketplace?

They do not stop at Marketplace.....it goes to PI and then there is another boat you can transfer to to go to Marketplace...or just walk over.

Rent a bike and bike over to SSR. We have done it several times and enjoyed the cardio workout - really it is not bad. Then you can explore the resort via bicycle
