Hi we are currently in line for Splash and it had a 70 min posted wait but we have already been here 30. And are still no where near the building entrance. So if anyone was wondering... not a good day to go to MK.

Well, it IS a Monday (crowded MK day of the week already) and it IS the middle of summer. Not surprising at all to me.

You're at Disney World. I'm at work. Enjoy your wait.

(Not that I'm bitter or anything. ;))

I agree....you still have it better than me! Sitting here at work eating lunch at my desk, just wishing I was where you are! Have fun!

LOL----i think I'll second that. :rotfl:

MK on Monday = bad! Everyone wants to start off their vacation there.

Well. I am still in line outside and merely posted to help people who are actually here not to argue with YOU or have you insult my intelligence. So, have a lovely day:mad:

Use Fast pass.. It's free with your theme park ticket!!!! I never get why so many people don't use it.... :) Really I have never gotten it.. so please original poster.. let me know your thoughts :) I am just curious.. When I see people in long wait lines and fast passes are available why are they not getting them and coming back later???? :)

This time of year, on a Monday, FP's are often only available in the early AM's and then they're gone for the day.

I would think they are still available at 12:20 when he posted... We were there in June and fast passes for Splash were available until the afternoon. I am not trying to start anything. I really am curious.. why people choose not to use it. :)

I'm sorry you're having to wait in a long line. However, I posted not to insult your intelligence or argue. I'm just posting general well-known facts about summer and Monday attendance at MK, and concluding that what you're saying is not surprising. :confused3 Other people have posted similar things, so I'm not sure why you're singling me out with a  emoticon.

If you had said every ride is a walk-on, I'd probably have posted a similarly worded post, but concluding that I was stunned.

Another reason, and this is tied to crowd volumes, is that the fastpass return time on a crowded day is often beyond the time that people will be there. So on a crowded day, people who can't be there at rope drop have no choice but to stand in the standby line or skip the ride altogether.

I think if you reread your post you might understand where they are coming from. You capitalized IS and IS twice which does read kind of snarky. Now, I know you didn't mean it that way because I've read tons of your posts before, but the OP is relatively new on here and maybe didn't read through your tone.

I'm just pointing it out and in no way want to argue about it. It's just the context of written compared to verbal. Geeze, now I'm second guessing what I'm writing because I kind of sound like the grammar police and that's one of my biggest pet peeves on the boards :)

I think the best response was have fun waiting in line, because I'd much rather be there than where I'm sitting right now at work...

Have fun!!!

You are right. I should have just left the "is"'s lowercase. It does read snarky the way I posted. I should know better. :headache:

And to the OP, do try to enjoy the lines, because everyone else is right: it's a better place to be than reading about it here on the DIS and at work.

Many times people will get a fastpass for one attraction, and then do standby for another one waiting for their window to open. My guess is that most of those people you see standing in the long lines have a fastpass in their possession, it is just for a different ride and their window has not yet opened.

Yeah enjoy your stay. Less than 4 weeks now for me to get there. :D

Funny last Aug I remember going from the Jungle Cruise to Pirates to Splash Mountain then to Thunder Mountain and off all those rides by 10:30. Was either very quiet or something else was up. It was a Monday. :)

Today's crowd is predicted at a "9" per touring plans.

That puts the actual wait time very close to the predictions.

But when in August was that? After the first week or two of August, most school systems are back in operation. Right now almost no one's in school.

If I remember correctly it would have been the 11th Aug 2008. Wish I was there now.... won't be long I guess. :cool1:
