Still Confused About 90+10 ADRs...

I'm still confused about the 90 day window for ADRs. Can someone please help clear this up for me?

We are at POR 16-18 Dec; POP 18-25 Dec. What day can I make ADRs? (I know there may be a concern with the split stay, but just give me your best thoughts on this!) So confused! :confused3

You can make reservations for your POR stay starting 9/17. With 90 + 10 you may make reservations up to Dec.18th.

For the Pop stay you can make them starting September 19 and you may make reservations for your entire stay on that date.

It is possible that some CMs might allow you to make reservations for 10 full days despite the split stay when you call on September 17. But some will not. And you will not be able to make ADRS online for both stays until September 19.

Thank you for the clarification. That's what I was afraid of! :) It *is* possible that a CM would allow us to make reservations for the entire trip, right? Kind of depends on the CM when we call?

Honestly, I would give up trying on this one. Just know now that you have to call back twice.

I have found with the new reservation system in place it is not going to depend on the CM. I waited on hold for 65 minutes from 7am to 8:05 am on a Sunday to be told that they could only make ADR for my 9/26-9/28 stay at the WL and that on 6/30 I would have to call back to make ADR for my 9/29-10/4 stay at the BC since I had a split stay. I kindly mentioned that I would not be able to get a jump start if I had just booked the same Disney resort for my whole stay, and she mentioned that this will happen to anyone with a split stay and she mentioned that when I called on 6/30 I would be able to book the remaining of my stay...I had to mention to her that I would still be at a disadvantage since those making their 90 day ADR on 6/28 for their whole trip would be done and would have a better chance of getting everything since they had 2 days on me, yet I am staying at a Disney Resort and the rules should apply to me too...she tried to make the ADR for the 2nd stay and "the system" would not let her. I called back 6 hours later hoping to try to get someone who would help and no such luck, they said the same thing.

In the end, I did make ADR for all the places we wanted to eat at on 6/30 for the remaining of our stay 9/29-10/4, but not for the dates and times we really needed.... which was important since we have 2.5 year old. Great Example, we have a lunch at Le Cellier on our last day and my husband mentioned we may not be able to make it since he needs to get home early on our last day, I am sure I would have been able to book a lunch before 10/4had I been able to make my ADR's all at once. At this point I just want to have a good time, and I am starting to care less where we eat as long as something is booked. I am greatful to the Dis, since I have learned so many things as to what to expect and so on.

I doubt I will ever book a spilt stay again due to inability to book my full 10 days out, too much of a hassle, I wanted it to be done with already.

I think I would not have been upset had I been told by Disney when booking the split stay as to what to expect when making my ADR's.

Now that you have some insight perhaps you can be plan your most favorite ADR's toward the end of your trip so when you call back to book the 2nd half of your stay you will get what you wanted. The ADR's that I continue to find are hard to get at exactly 90 days out seem to be Ohana, Le Cellier, and Tusker House for Breakfast. Hopefully at 45 or 30 Days I have a shot :rotfl:.
