Monday May 25th. Day 4 Part 1.
We woke up bright and early and got ready for our day. We had decided to skip our plans of getting to Hollywood Studios at 8AM for EMH's, instead we arrived around 9AM. We needed the extra sleep.
I was a little sad this day since Jen was going to be leaving soon. For some reason the tram ride into DHS is very vivid in memory but nothing special happened.
Maybe I was just excited to be going to DHS.
We made it into the park and greeted an old friend.
Jen, with her good feet took off to get our Toy Story Mania Fastpasses and I slowly moseyed my way up to the Great Movie Ride, taking lots of pictures as I went.
I had a nice long look at all of the pins in the shop under the hat. I had a few purchases to make later!
My feet were bothering me. In my attempt to make my feet hurt less I had bandaged and put my socks on to wear with my crocs. The socks were bothering me so I sat down on a bench and pulled them off. Ahhhh, that's a little better. I took some pictures of one of my favorite rides from the bench.
After a little bit Jen found me at the bench with our much coveted TSM Fastpasses. They were for after 1PM. Jen wasn't sure if she wanted to stay that late since she still had quite a drive in front of her. I told her I would do whatever she wanted. She decided to ride Great Movie Ride first.
While we were waiting in line, Jen was hoping for the cowboy which she never had seen and I was hoping for the gangster which I had never seen. So it was going to be a win for one of us!
I know a lot of people don't like The Great Movie Ride, or think it needs to be updated but I adore it. I love movies, Hollywood, anything that has to do with it and I just get so giddy when I'm on the ride.
We were able to get a front row seat! Yay!! It was kinda neat to be that close to the CM. We had a great female CM, I can't remember her name but she was really awesome.
When we got into our tram, I told Jen that we would have the cowboy since I had read that the first tram car is the Cowboy and the second one is the gangster. I was a bit sad but she was really happy!
I was wrong.
We got the gangster! A female gangster at that! I was super happy. Jen told me that she didn't think the cowboy existed.
I have to say you really see a different perspective of the ride from the front row, it was an enjoyable ride. I became teary at the montage at the end...again. I can't help it, just gets to me.
After our journey into the movies, we headed to the shop underneath the big ugly hat and pin shopped. I had my list from my cubicle mate and bought her some pins...and a few for myself and heck throw in that mystery pin for $1 too. Yeah...I have a pin addiction.
Jen spotted some characters while I was shopping but we decided not to wait in line.
We headed over to...
We went inside through the shop and did some browsing...beautiful artwork in there.
Here I am channeling my inner MeMom.
Then Jen asked me if we were allowed to take pictures in there and I freaked out and stopped. Hehehe.
Shortly we made our way into the Animation part of the building and came upon.....
