I'll start.

With the recent sad news I learned something new.

The safety system that guides the Monorails is called MaPo.

It is short for Mary Poppins. Walt took the profits from that movie to build the original Monorail at Disneyland.

It takes 7 pounds of pressure at any point to fracture that skull - it takes 25 to break a window. Just a little scary and makes one rethink that geeky bicycle helmet!

I don't believe this is true if you're looking at a pure dollar perspective. Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End cost $300 million, it was 168 minutes in length, averaging $1,785,714 per minute of entertainment. There are other films too that exceed the $1 million dollar mark per minute including Titanic, Waterworld, and Disney's own Tarzan which cost $150 million and was 88 minutes in length ($1,704,545/minute).

If you are adjusting for inflation, films like Cleopatra, Superman, etc still handsomely exceed the $1,000,000 mark.

Captain EO is still one of the most expensive films ever made, but it definately is not the most expensive.

Sorry for this misinformation then. This was a "fact" I read on IMDB when we looked up Captain Eo last week I thought IMDB was pretty reliable--I guess not.

The Mears on the Disney transportation buses stand for "Mickey Ears"

What I had read before (and what I posted) was $1 million per minute. Now I find when googling in several places it cost $30 million to produce and was 17 minutes long which works out to over $1.76 million per minute. Maybe that is where the issue lies


Here's one I know to be true (because I ate there back in the day): The restraurant in Cinderella's Castle used to be named for Sleeping Beauty's father (King Stefan's Banquet Hall)--which was just, well, odd
