Would you do a 2nd trip within 2 months of returning?

You guys are of no help you know! :lmao:

Seriously, I guess I'm looking to the wrong group to tell me "not" to go! :rotfl2:

This is really going to drive me nuts. I really, really, could get into going again, and this "deal" is hanging out there like a carrot just begging me to take it. It's not making it easier that I have the time to take off, my wife doesn't work, so no issue there, and the kids are not back in school until mid Sept.

Doh, decisions, decisons! I'm thinking the only issue I might actually run into is getting dining reservations. I did some poking around on the Disney site, and while there are things available, the pickings look fairly slim if I would want to be choosy on where and what days to eat their.

Thanks again for making me realize I'm not the only looney one out here. :goodvibes

Well, I was there in May and as you can see from my sig I'm returning for another stay this Sunday... then doing FD with DD(23) in August and MNNSHP in October :lmao:

Actually going more frequently, I think, is great because you don't have to feel rushed to fit things in... have a nice pool day, go to a water park, enjoy DTD and maybe rent a boat, eat at different resorts, etc.... to me it's really a relaxing way to enjoy Disney :goodvibes

Besides, us northerners have to enjoy the sunshine and warmth while we can, right? :thumbsup2

You got that right, regarding enjoying the warmth while we can! I cannot believe how cool it has been up here. My wife and I took the kids swimming this past Sunday at Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown. It was 80 degrees, but the water was COLD, and frankly, NOT comfortable for getting wet!

What is up with that!!??

We went on Oct 22-27, returned in Dec from the 6th - 10th, returned again Feb 14th - 20 and again in Apr from the 13th - 18th.

We are currently going through withdrawals, because we won't be back until October. However, we are considering a late August trip.

That being said we obviously would go back that quick and don't see anything wrong with it.

Oh, I totally hear you! :scared1: I think it's probably been so cool that the water simply hasn't warmed up... normally they wouldn't need to even think about heating it but this has definitely been the summer that wasn't :sad2:

All the more reason to get some of that good Florida sunshine and a little Disney warmth :goodvibes

I was wondering if it would be considered "extravagant" to go three weeks after our vacation in October? Glad to see we aren't the only "crazy ones!!!"

My mom and I go for my birthday every year at the end of October. . . this year she's been saying "Why do we go for YOUR birthday every year??" (Yes, we are two grown women who act like we're 5 when it comes to all things Dis :rotfl:) So, I'm thinking of surprising her for her birthday - November 22!! LOL!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yes I would, Yes I have and Yes we are planning on doing that again this Oct/Dec

I would definately do it!!! Last August we stayed off-site in a villa for 2 weeks. Then I surprised my DD9 with a trip in September with free dining! It was awesome!!!! I couldn't get my husband to go to free dining--Disney once a year is enough for him.:confused3:confused3

My hubby and I took our "honeymoon" (it was a year after we got married) this past April. We used the military deal and stayed 6 days and had an absolute blast. Well my birthday came up in May and I decided I HAD to go again so we did the 8 hour drive again to go for ONE DAY. The second time we brough my mother and my stepson. I had a blast even for that one day..

I say, if you have the money to do that again (without hurting any bills or savings of course) GO FOR IT! Life is about memories you have with your family and loved ones. Life isn't about saving for the rest of your life until you are too old to do anything, and it isn't about saying "we will someday."

You are never too old or crazy to do Disney. :D

I'll help ya! No, I wouldn't do it. There's far too much of an instant gratification or "I deserve it" mentality here and in society. I do think there is a small age range where kids are open to the wonderment and magic of Disney - which supports the return theory but, I think a year or so between trips keeps in fresh and special. Teaches kids a lesson about saving, patience, and priority setting.

I was just going to say "you're asking the wrong bunch cuz we are all going to say...YES, DO IT!"

We do go every year, not multiple times, but if we could, we would, so why not. And with free dining, I'd definitely say go for it. The price is right and it's Disney!! We're doing free dining this year and the only thing I noticed when making my reservations was that anytime basically between 6-8 was impossible. So all our reservations are between 4 & 6, which was fine with us. So good luck and hope you decide to go :thumbsup2

If you can afford it, go for it! I'm sure there is something that you didn't get to see, so here's your chance. My feeling is that life is very uncertain. If Disney is offering a deal (with dining? Wow!), and you can take advantage of it, I would in a second. That is a fantastic deal and I think I might have to push you out of line to get to it too LOL.
It's funny, but every time we discuss any kind of non-Disney vacation, Disney still winds up weaseling its way into our possibilities. Now you're going to make me go look!
ETA: You DO realize you asked the worst group of enablers out there, right? ;)

Haha my hubby and I took our first trip (both of us) this past April and we had to squeeze in another 1 day trip in May. He then left in June for a year deployment and we are already planning on his midtour to go again! We are also planning to have family come with us instead of using our vacation time to go see them :lmao: We have orders to move to Italy next year and we already are planning vacations to Disneyland Paris and planning our trips back to the states and family coming to visit us around Disney.

Tisk tisk Disney! :rotfl:

Take a look at my previous trips to see where I stand on this issue! We've done it lots of times, but most recently we went over Thanksgiving 2008 and then again January 16-24, 2009. We're getting ready to leave on Thursday for 8 nights and then we'll go again on October 2. We have NEVER gotten tired of WDW, although lots of our friends think we're crazy!

Do it! And, if you are thinking of doing this and like the idea of returning that recently after your last trip, you should look into the Disney Vacation Club. Just a thought!
Have fun!

Another vote for "go for it" here!

I am going with my DH and three DD's for a week in August, then going back in October for 4 nights/5 days with my sister to celebrate my 40th!

I went in August and October in 2007 also.... helped with the leaving WDW Depression in August, knowing that I will be back soon! I expect it will do the same this year!

I will not tell you to not do it but we went back for a week only 5 weeks after having just spent a week at WDW in 2003 and the second trip was really starting to have a "been there, done that" feel to it. We still had fun but not as much as if we had waited six months to a year. The main question to ask yourself is: "Did we leave and feel like there was still lots to do and wanted another week or did we feel like we saw most of what we wanted to do and it was starting to feel like it was time to go home soon?" While it might be hard to believe, it is possible to burn out on WDW if you are not careful.

We went 10 times last year. This year we've only been twice -- just got back a couple of weeks ago, and we have another trip coming near the end of August. So compared to last year, I'm feeling a bit deprived! :lmao:

If you can't guess, I'd say go, aslong as you can afford it.

SSB

I've done it a few times- no harm done. :rotfl:
besides the 9 hour drive both ways.

You are asking the wrong group!! We are going twice in one month July 10-12 and July 19-22 LOL Gotta hit both birthdays LOL :rotfl2: GO for it!!!!!

I'm still trying to figure out how we ended up in the Outer Banks instead of WDW at Easter this year. I wasn't sure what to do there. We just sat around on the beach.... and why can't you fastpass the sunrise????

Decided to do 2 weeks at WDW in June to make up for the 1 week we missed at Spring Break!
