Tut-Tut, it Looks Like Rain! May '09 Trip Report. *Finished! 9/27 Pg. 69.

Two updates since I've checked back! I love the CoP! Classic Disney! :goodvibes And the HM is one of my favorite too. The whole theme inside and out is just great!

Was the corn dog nuggets/fries an "adult" meal? My three year old loves those and would like to get those next time, but we will be on the DDP. (I need to start meal planning!)

Love the updates! :)
You know...I know that when I went with Marc in September we were able to use a CS credit for a corndog nugget meal, this time I just bought them separately. I can't remember if it was a choice for kids or not, I am trying to remember the menu board and I can't.

I must see that Move it, Shake it parade. That looks so fun.

I have never tried to corn dog nuggets at Casey's. My list is growing.
Hehehe. They are so good!

Yippee for another update. I'm heading out to soak up some rays now but will look forward to another update.

We can look for that area in Liberty Square together. I think read about it in Mousejunkies!

Boy, I have LOTS of Disney movies to catch up on. I'll add these to the list!
Did you soak up enough rays? I get giddy thinking about discovering Liberty Square together. EEEEE! The Casey Cartoons are pretty short, maybe 10 minutes long. I bet they are on youtube.

FOUND THEM!

Casey at the Bat.

Casey Bats Again.

Now I need to find Ferdinand the Bull. :rolleyes1

I'm going to have to search for the Casey Cartoons as well, Baylor would love them!
:thumbsup2 Corndog Nuggets, a great spot hitter!:thumbsup2

Now I'm worrying about your feet again.
Those corndog nuggets are a home run. ;) :lmao: :rolleyes1 I crack myself up.

Oh LL:

I love your new updates, but I hate reading about your feet! I know they must have really put a damper on your enjoyment. I know I have a recurrent blister on my heel that puts me to shame any time I wear anything other than crocs. It's hard to enjoy when you have pain with each step. I left my crocs at home when we went to Niagara falls and I was soooorrrrrreeeeeee! That was every bit as much walking as Disney. I paid dearly in discomfort!

I love your HM pictures. As usual, you found a way to turn order pictures into extraordinary pictures. I love that picture of the front of HM and I am going to try to take that in September.

Keep the updates coming!!!!!!!
They really did put a damper on everything, it was not fun dealing with my feet. Bah. I do not want a repeat in the Fall.

I'm hoping to do another update this evening!

We love HM as well. In November my DD and I rode it and she was a little unsure. Now she is much more aware and so I don't think we'll ride it this trip. :(

I'm going to have to try those corn dog nuggets. It seems I'm reading about them everywhere now.

Great pictures! I love Liberty Square. It speaks to me as well, and always seems so calm there.
It really does seem calm there. I could just sit there and watch all day long. I want one of the liberty square CM costumes. :rolleyes1

I'm so not a fun of corn dogs, but I'd like to get a hotdog at Casey's some day, just to sit on the bleachers.:goodvibes

Great pictures of the HM! Yes, poor Mr. Toad.:sad1: We rode HM this trip and it was very interesting to note who loved it and who did NOT.:rolleyes1

I'm so glad you got some new shoes for your next trip. Have you started breaking them in?
The bleachers are so much fun! I have started breaking them but they are still not 100% yet.

Been MIA for the long weekend (well technically since our Holiday is July 1st which was the wednesday I've been MIA since tuesday nite) and away from technology up at the cottage.

Started reading Mousejunkies to keep up my disney fix.

Loved the look of the pretzel's. I will have to search for them next time.
I hope you enjoyed your long weekend!

Great updates and pics! I'd never heard of cream cheese pretzels before. Looks interesting. Perhaps something to try next time.

Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I'm enjoying your collection of Disney lighting ficture photos. It just seems so original and fun. Seems like you have a blast collecting them too!
I really do enjoy my light fixture hunting, ti's a lot of fun. There are some many different ones in Disney, it's really amazing!

It really does seem calm there. I could just sit there and watch all day long. I want one of the liberty square CM costumes. :rolleyes1

ME TOO! That is all I can think of whenever I see them.

I've never had the corn dog nuggets -- I think those are something that I need to try...

Sunday May 24th, Part 5.

We woke up around 5ish I believe to get ready for our ADR at Cinderella's Royal Table at 6:30PM. What did we wake up too? Pouring rain, monsoon like really. If it was any other ADR besides CRT, I would have begged Jen to stay at ASMu. When I say beg, I mean hands and knees, please don't make me go out in that rain begging.

We dressed and headed out to the car. Jen was kind enough to let me stay under the building while she pulled the car up. Let me tell you, she knows service! Hehehe.

We get out into the road and we are behind a couple of Disney buses stopped at the stop light. And they don't move. And they don't move. They are just sitting there. It is down pouring so we thought maybe there was an accident in the intersection. Nope, no accident that we can see. Then we see other cars going through the intersection at all different times. On the left side of the intersection, another Disney bus was just stopped as well, not turning. We must have sat there for a good 10 minutes before we figured out that the lights were out and that the Disney buses were not moving while they were out. I mean...I guess I get why they wouldn't go through the intersection but we had an ADR to get too! Finally we made our way around the buses and through the intersection safely.

We arrived to the Ticket & Transportation Center and there was not a single CM in the parking lot, I guess that is what downpours do. Jen was again kind enough to drop me off near that little bridge thing that the tram goes through to save on my feet. Two seconds out of the car, even with my umbrella and poncho I was completely soaked. Drowned rat soaked.

I stood under that little bridge looking at all the frazzled people leaving the MK while I waited for Jen....for a long time. By the time she walked to me she was completely soaked. We made a cute pair.

We took the monorail over to MK. At this point we were cutting it REALLY close, we did not want to be late. Jen decided she would go ahead and at least get us checked in and I would walk slower with my stupid feet.

It was a competitive sport making your way up Main St that night. Especially with my umbrella. I'm happy to announce I did not poke out any eyes. Yay!

Finally I made my way to the Castle which was wall to wall people. There was even a gentlemen literally sprawled out on his back sleeping with his child sleeping on his chest. Made me giggle.

Jen had checked us in and as soon as I got there we were let inside. We were SOAKED. I had worn socks with my crocs and they were completely soaked through. I was so glad I had brought a second pair that night in my bag. They kept bugging us to get in line for our pic with Cinderella but we were taking off our ponchos and putting our umbrellas in the ziploc bag. Geez people!

We got in line and had our picture taken. You'll have to wait to see that. We sat down and waited to be called upstairs. We were not given wands and Jen wanted one so she went and asked for them for us. Yay! They were different then Septembers. I liked the other one better.

Jen took some pictures of the waiting area.

Shortly we were called upstairs and were sat at our table.

The view.

We judged if it was raining on whether Dumbo was up and running or not. It seemed the rain was off and on throughout our dinner. We were in NO RUSH to get back out in the rain so we took our time.

553842987_Gx3KC-M.jpg

Jen had the Castle Salad I believe.

553842773_wBZ2c-M.jpg

I had the Spring Roll.

We both ordered the Prime Rib for dinner....and we forgot to take pictures of it. It was VERY yummy. So delicious.

We did get to catch the Castle show with the Fairy Godmother and the mice.

It was a cute show but we were bummed that only one of the mice ladies came to see us.

Continued in next post...

After our delicious Castle dinner, we went to the restroom and I took the chance to change my socks before heading out into the wetness again. I go to put on the first sock and "RIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPP" I ripped through a brand new sock! I was so flabbergasted. I couldn't catch a break with my freaking feet this week! Sigh. Luckily I could still wear the sock the hole was in the side of it so I put it on and we headed outside.

I was in good spirits. My feet weren't feeling awful and I was in the Magic Kingdom. This is what we came across in Fantasyland.

Ahhh, Disney Bliss.

We headed back towards Liberty Square for another ride on Haunted Mansion.

We didn't take any pictures this time around, we just enjoyed ourselves. Jen told me that if we stayed in the stretching room at the end we could hear the gargoyles hiss at us. So we did. It was awesome!

After our ride as we were getting off, I heard a lady ask a CM how many miles they walk in a day on that moving walkway. The CM told her that they average 12 miles per shift! WOW! That is a lot! I am still amazed by this.

After HM, we headed towards Adventureland to redeem our Jungle Cruise Fastpasses from earlier. I love fastpass! Before we knew it we were on our boat, I was right in the front next to the CM. Our CM was great! She was really funny and it didn't seem like the normal spiel. I enjoy riding JC at night, it makes it more mysterious. Before we knew it we had made it safely back and headed to another boat ride.

PIRATES! Again, no pictures. We were enjoying ourselves. It was not a long wait and we were off. Jen was kind enough to offer her hand on the big drop and I totally took her up on it. I can't help it, I am a free falling wimp.

I believe there was some sitting involved on my part in that little walkway between Frontierland and Adventureland. I called Mom and asked her to bring blister products and more socks. Phew. I was running out of stuff and knew I'd have to get some from the gift shop before she arrived.

Jen had started to not feel well but she wanted to press on. We went back through Liberty Square to hit up Dumbo at night and we were met with Spectromagic. There was no way we were getting through so we stayed and took some pictures.

After the parade was over I was feeling super, I was ready to stay at MK super late. Jen on the other hand didn't look so good, she wasn't feeling well and wanted to leave. I was totally fine with that because I didn't want her to be miserable. Plus I knew I needed more rest. We made our way out of the park which was a little crazy because everyone was on Main Street waiting for Wishes.

We made it to the monorail and we sat in the station FOREVER. At this point my feet were freaking killing me. I was so ready to get back to the room and rest. I wanted to go soak my feet and go to sleep.

We made it to the TTC and we decided not to take a tram because we were pretty close....or so we thought. Jen didn't remember where she had parked and I didn't know because she had dropped me off. I was tired, soggy and so over the parking lot. We finally found the car and cranked up the AC and made it back to ASMu.

I soaked my feet, got into my PJ's and settled into bed. We were supposed to get up and head to Hollywood Studios for the 8AM EMH's but we decided to not to do that. We set the alarm with the hope of getting there around 9AM.

:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

Your updates make me so ready to get there!!

We are getting spoiled with updates today. I found a shirt I want to make with Daisy Duck and a tiara that says "You say spoiled as if its a bad thing" DS says its perfect for me.

I am also enjoying your updates! :goodvibes SO sorry about the rain, the feet and the not feeling well. :headache: That said, it looks like a pretty magical night. I mean, if it has to be rainy, or you have to feel yucky you might as well do it in WDW! The view from your table is amazing. And i have to say that neither of you look any worse for the wear b/c of the rain! Now I would have had stringy hair, mascara running down my face. Not that I don't believe you that it was raining... I'm just saying you survived it well! :thumbsup2

Too cute you get nervous on the drop in Pirates!

Hope you wake up in the am feeling fresh and relaxed with the sun shining! :goodvibes But of course I do know the title of your TR. :sad2:

Um, is it weird that I can feel your foot pain while I'm reading this??? :lmao:

You guys looked gorgeous for drowned rats!!! Too bad Suzie and Perla didn't come over to admire your beauty :confused3

Did you take the Spectro pics with your new camera? They came out great! :thumbsup2

You did look really good for being so wet, sounds like you had a great meal! I loved your view from the castle, very nice pictures! :goodvibes Poor Jen not feeling well, but it does sound like going back the the resort was the best thing for Jen and your sore feet!

Man, I hate being wet so your whole update I was just shaking my head. And your poor feet!!

I hope Jen started feeling better too. I love your shirts and just realized in this update that you both have been wearing matching shirts. Yes, I had a blonde moment.

Overall, it seems like it was a fantastic day! Dang those bothersome feet of yours and I'm sorry that Jen wasn't feeling well in the evening. I hope she felt better after a good nights sleep.

Oh man, your poor feet and now Jen isn't feeling well?:sad2: Sounds like a trip back to the resort is just what the doctor ordered.

Your meal sounds wonderful and what a great table. The view when you got outside is pretty remarkable too. A rainbow over Dumbo? Perfect!:cloud9:

I'm so glad the crowd outside was spared the point of your umbrella in their eye.:rotfl:

ME TOO! That is all I can think of whenever I see them.

I've never had the corn dog nuggets -- I think those are something that I need to try...
You really do need to try them!

It was a good night despite everything else that it was going on. I get SO nervous on Pirates even though I know I will survive and I have ridden 1,000's of times before. I freak out.

Um, is it weird that I can feel your foot pain while I'm reading this??? :lmao:

You guys looked gorgeous for drowned rats!!! Too bad Suzie and Perla didn't come over to admire your beauty :confused3

Not weird at all. My feet start to bother me when I write about it. Must be that I am reliving the pain. :rotfl2:

I took them with my Canon and Jen took them with her Nikon. :thumbsup2

You did look really good for being so wet, sounds like you had a great meal! I loved your view from the castle, very nice pictures! :goodvibes Poor Jen not feeling well, but it does sound like going back the the resort was the best thing for Jen and your sore feet!
We had a great view. It almost made the whole water logged thing worth it. :rotfl:

Man, I hate being wet so your whole update I was just shaking my head. And your poor feet!!

I hope Jen started feeling better too. I love your shirts and just realized in this update that you both have been wearing matching shirts. Yes, I had a blonde moment.
I despise being wet. I literally won't go out when it's raining if I don't have to go to work or something like that so it was a treat that week let me tell you. :rotfl2: Yes we had matching shirts for Friday, Saturday and Sunday! :lmao:

Overall, it seems like it was a fantastic day! Dang those bothersome feet of yours and I'm sorry that Jen wasn't feeling well in the evening. I hope she felt better after a good nights sleep.
It was a good day, I was so mad at my feet. :headache:

Oh man, your poor feet and now Jen isn't feeling well?:sad2: Sounds like a trip back to the resort is just what the doctor ordered.

I was so happy about the rainbow over Dumbo, so beautiful!

More updates!!!! Yeah!

I did not know the gargoyles hiss at you in the stretching room. I promise to stick around for that next time.

I'm glad you guys made it to CRT on time. It looks like a lovely dinner. If I had know I was going to do the DxDP, I certainly would have tried to get an ADR there. Now its too late and I have never been!

I hope Jen is OK! I'm glad you feet held up for all the rides you did. :thumbsup2

What a lovely set of updates!!! :lovestruc

I am so sorry that your feet were bothering you -- I hope you don't have any problems with them on this next trip.

The HM pictures are awesome -- I have never noticed the bat in the wrought iron -- I think I am in such a hurry that I just breeze right into the queue. I do love looking at the gravestones though -- as Christine said, "Poor Mr. Toad." Of all the rides Disney has done away with, I think that is in the top three missed rides for me -- along with 20,000 Leagues and the Skyway. :(

I must try corn dog nuggets from Casey's one day -- my stomach always growls when I see pictures of them!

Dinner looks delicious and score on the window seat! :thumbsup2

However, I must say that the most magical part of your updates today has to be the rainbow pictures! What beauty seeing that rainbow arching across Dumbo!!! :lovestruc

Hi LL! :wave2:

I've been enjoying your TR... finally got all caught up today. Sorry your feet were bothering you. :sad2: The rain has to make things worse... when I visited with my mom last year, we had 2 straight days of rain and my feet were pretty messed up. I ended up doing the crocs with socks thing too. :headache: A whole week this year, not a drop of rain, and my feet were fine. :thumbsup2 Hope they feel better soon. :goodvibes

Those rainbow pictures were so magical.... your castle window set- how awesome. The rain stinks.... I must admit my first thought is I would rather be hot and sweaty than wet like you were.

You have such AWESOME pictures!! Between the rainbow, the shots from your window seat (wow!!), and the Spectro pictures, I'm having some serious WDW-picture-taking-ability-envy. ;) I'm going to have to get better before my next trip!

I really hope your feet serve you better on your next trip! Maybe you'll have learned enough from this one (the hard way, I know - it stinks!) to help you in the fall.

Thanks for the updates - keep them coming!!

Oh my! to that decadent looking dessert and to that beautiful rainbow!
They both fall in the awesome range, I think.

Great update and pictures!
