This was our fist time at the Cabins. My biggest concern was getting to the parks at RD and getting around FW since we didn't have a golf cart. I needn't have worried! I couldn't have been more pleased with the bus service both inside the Fort and outside to and from the parks. If you are thinking about staying in a cabin and are concerned about the buses, don't be! :goodvibes We stayed in loop 2300 which was within walking distance to the Meadows Trading Post, although we only went there one time to visit the arcade, fish in the pond and do laundry. Every morning we were at the internal bus stop by 7:50 am and at the park turnstiles before 8:30 am. We never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a bus, either coming or going!! If we had had more time to enjoy the Fort a golf cart would have been fun but we did the parks almost every day so didn't need the cart. The cabin itself was great - I would stay here again!

Glad you had a Good time.
I noticed your vacation ticker. Looks like your Hooked on the Fort!
Already planning your next trip!:thumbsup2

How did you like the cabins? We will be staying in a cabin for 9 days in two weeks. I have read mostly good things, except a few reports said the cabins were dirty.

Isn't if funny how we can stress about something so - and then have it turn out just fine?

So - for your next trip are you going to stay in the cabins again - or maybe venture onto the camping loops in a rental camper? Those are a nice alternative too!

Ha! I noticed that after I posted. No trip planned at this time. I need to edit my signature... :goodvibes

I'd be happy if next time we visited Disney we owned a camper!! Waaaay off in the future, though. :goodvibes

I am not a picky person. That being said, the shower drain was slow and by the end of the week it bothered me enough to mention it to housekeeping. It was taken care of by the time we got home that day. I did notice the floor under the dining table hadn't been swept one day but we had fun towel animals that day (elephants and crocodiles) so I didn't care!!! The beds were clean and comfortable but not luxurious. I think if you don't expect the Ritz you will be fine. We loved having the extra space and being able to stay up late while my son slept in the bedroom.

Cool! I am not that picky either. Sounds like mousekeeping was on the ball, and that is all I needed to hear. One of the reasons we chose the cabins is because we have a 6 year old, and we don't want to have to go to bed at 8 or 9. I am glad to hear that it worked out well for you and your family:goodvibes

Thanks!

Glad you had a great time. We haven't stayed at FW yet, so no experience with their internal bus system, but we have stayed at ASMo and we were pleased with the WDW transportation. It got us to and from where we going and that's all we expected from them. :goodvibes

Your 6 year old will love the Fort. My son is 10 and he still enjoyed chasing the lizards and frogs outside our cabin. My husband and I slept on the Murphy bed every night but one and found it comfortable and clean. Mousekeeping made the bed every day even though we folded it back into the wall every morning (unmade) before we left for the day. That tells me they checked it even though we left no sign we were using it.

I was pleased with the bus service back in may when we stayed in a cabin also. I found our cabin was cleaned, and dishes even washed every day. No dirty cabin at all for us. No issues at all. We're staying there again in september, and I can't wait! Hopefully the internal busses will be just as efficient then, otherwise I won't hear the end of it from my sister!!!
