Just wanted to say "Happy 4th of July"

Hope everyone has a great day and the rest of the weekend!
Stay safe and hope everyone is having decent weather..

We are not.. it's raining and a 80% chance of more the rest of the day..
Wanted to go to the State Park for a photo shoot...but now we are trying to figure out what to do...

No rain here yet, but it is supposed to be here today too.

This will be a lazy take it easy day. Don't get many of those. We will grill out but that is on the wrap porch, so I should stay dry. :rotfl:

Everyone stay safe!!!

It's yucky here today, too!

It's just a lazy day, too! Celebrated more yesterday........As a matter of fact, I think I'll go shopping!

The first part of the day looks nice, but yesterday we had afternoon thunderstorms. I don't know if those are on the agenda for today or not.

We're taking a lazy day, before going out to dinner. Today is our 11th wedding anniversary.

Happy anniversary

Up early today to get to the parade, very short this year and guess what..................

surprise we got rained on:cool1::cool1: might as well dance it's so pathetic

heading home from dropping off mom the downpour hit and we have to drop to electic fence gates to get up the driveway so both of us got soaked love running through puddles to get into the house with lightening all around

Happy Anniversary!!!

First day we have had in a while that doesn't look like rain. I am just still resting from my infection and watching tennis.

Rebecca

Happy Anniversary!

It is a gorgeous day here in CT. Nice to see blue skies rather than all the rain we've gotten used to. We've gone down to the beach for a picnic. We might head out for the fireworks tonight.

I've paid bills, now off to fold laundry and think about what to cook for dinner.

Have a happy 4th everyone!

It's NOT raining here! Yay! It's about time, everything was getting icky and moldy.

We went to the mall - Disney Store, Mike's, Joann's, ACM, made it a triple threat ;) I got some more baby stuff for DN's baby album, and some Cricut mats and blades and one of those spatula doo-hickeys, along with some fun bling. I love 40% off sales. Then we went to Friendly's for lunch. I love Friendly's too!

We may get some thunderstorms later, but they did the fireworks last night. So, no big plans for the rest of the afternoon. Maybe I'll try to find a movie on demand.

Happy 4th everyone! Happy Anniversary, Hope. One of my nieces was born on the 4th. She's 29 today, and I bet she still thinks the fireworks are just for her :lmao:

Fireworks were a primary reason why we got married on the 4th of July. I was fascinated by the idea of having a Disney wedding with a private fireworks show. BTW, we actually saw wedding fireworks at Disney this trip. We were taking the monorail to the GF, and while we were passing over the Wedding Pavilion we saw a bride arriving in Cinderella's coach. Then about 40 minutes later they shot off fireworks. That must have been a pricey wedding. A Disney wedding with fireworks wasn't in our budget, but I knew the location I wanted for the wedding and reception was a prime viewing location for the city's fireworks display, so I threw it out there as a date, and DH liked the idea too. I joke I saved my parents $15,000 since that was what the price of Disney fireworks were at that time, but ours were free.

Happy Anniversary, Hope! That's a great story behind your wedding date!

I worked this morning, and we're still debating plans for the evening. DH is talking about going into Boston for the fireworks/concert, but I'm not sure I'll make it to then. I'm pretty wiped!

Awww, I got the chills! I'd love to have done that. We (meaning me) were thinking of renewing our vows on the ship on Halloween, but I think it's expensive ;)

I looked into it too, and it was soooo expensive! And we didn't have guests, just us, the boys, and a few DISers from the cruise board. We opted to spend a long couples day at the spa...soooo nice! DH got a seaweed wrap, and when he stood up to get his shower we all laughed, and the girls said he looked like Shrek...OMG, was way too funny!!!

I recommend the spa, and an evening at Palo's for dinner, but the brunch is sooo good too... Yeah, I think the brunch was better for us, as we liked the dinners in the restaurants with our wait staff and the boys.

I'll have to find my notes as to what we did the last time. We were scheduled for western, but there had been a hurricane earlier in the season, and some of the islands were still not taking ships...so we did a modified western/eastern.

I'd love to hear all about it. Our actual 15th anniversary is in May, so it would just be a "for fun" renewal anyhow. I doubt we'll do it, especially if it's as expensive as I think it is (we wouldn't have guests either, just me, DH and Morgan). He would never go for a spa day together. I may be able to sneak away for a little time alone, but if not, that's okay too. We're nervous parents of an only child, I don't think I could send her off to daycare on a ship! :scared1: We'll have to see what happens, I may change my mind when we get there ;)

My boys loved the kids areas, but there is so much to do for families, that she can be active with you all day. Our first few we didn't do the spa together, we took turns as I was worried the kids lab would beep us and we wouldn't be able to go right away. Especially because DS17 has ADD, and was very quick to lose interest.

I did a trip report, I'll have to see if it's still on the DIS and send you the link in a PM. Our last time, my kids were a bit older, and we had done several cruises, so I didn't do the excursions offered, and found some private vendors.
