9/12 great article ! Who am I to say no to going to WDW?

What a fabulous update!! Your pictures are wonderful!! I especially love the ones at the Poly (I LOVE it there so I'm a little partial). You got some great family pics at O'hana!! Your kids are so photogenic--so sweet!!

Great update! I just love your early morning pictures around the Contemporary! What a peaceful and relaxing way to start the day -- gazing at the Castle! :cloud9: Luke looks like he had a great time with you that morning!

What bliss to be a monorail ride away from your breakfast ressie! Poor Luke, though, in that picture with Stitch. He looks like he is barely holding it together!

Love all the family pictures -- you are all just adorable and clearly enjoying yourselves!

What a pain about the dining plan, though! I wonder if the Contemporary could have fixed that for you?

First of all, congratulations for purchasing DVC!!! I am SO excited for you!! And a little teeny bit jealous.

What a nice relaxing morning at the Contemporary. The more I see the more I want to stay there!

Your kids are just beautiful. As others have said, every single picture is just adorable. Breakfast looked great. Glad Em warmed up to Mickey! :)

Oh my goodness, your kids are the cutest! Luke looks like he was really enjoying himself even though he was a little unsure about Stitch.

The 'Ohana breakfast looks like a lot of fun, I hope to make that one someday!

Great updates! I loved your pictures from strolling around and from breakfast. You have some great pictures from breakfast. We enjoyed that breakfast as well.

The morning walk around the Contemporary looks awesome! Suxh a fun time for you and Luke to share together.

How cool to be right there on the monorail to zip over to the Poly! It looks like you guys really enjoyed the breakfast and Luke seemed to like characters! Did Emily start warming upo later in the trip?

What a pain on the tickets/dining! I hope it got straightened out without a trip over to CSR! That would really be a bummer for a rope drop morning!

Awww...what a gorgeous morning you guys had!! You were able to explore the resort with Luke...and what a happy baby he is and you were able to have a great breakfast at Ohana's!!

Sorry about the ticket situation but I'm sure you were able to get it all fixed!!!!!

Can't wait for more!

wow I step away for a few days... and then find out you all bought DVC!!! soo cool!! Your kids as always are just to cute, love that little luke :) looks like you had a great day.. I've always wanted to try that breakfast too. Not sure when we will make it back as a whole family... how was it traveling with LUke??

Finally Mickey!

What a super fun meal. I sure hope we can make that breakfast again.

IMG_0199.jpg

My two favorites from this batch. They are great!
And what a great experience, too!

We had a great time at 'Ohana last summer, and we thought about going again this time, but we're trying to do some new ones each trip. Your pictures reminded me that if we don't get to it before, we'll have to have a redo by next summer for sure!

I just realized that Luke isn't in the Maclaren. Did you change your mind about bringing it?

I'm not completely up to date on your TR, but I love your most recent installmets. Your children are so cute and your pictures are great. Your breakfast at Ohana looks so perfect. Congrats on the DVC purchase! Now you have years and years of vacations to plan!

What a peaceful way to start the day. Your view was amazing from that patio! Again great pics of the kids. The looked very happy in their leis! Especially Daddy and Luke.:goodvibes
Congrats again on the DVC!

The leis were fun and our O' Hana's pic was good, we even bought it.

Thanks for the early morning pictures of the Contemporary. You're right, that patio had a marvelous view, and what a cute picture of smiling Luke.:)

It was so peaceful. We saw one jogger but that was it. I loved just being able to sit outside and relax. Luke was not a sleeper at WDW, so the patio was missed come CSR.

What a great morning, just you and the little man! How did you keep him contained while you took a shower? I have a feeling me and my little man will have many early mornings as he likes to start mornings at 5 am when he is on vacation. ;)

You got some really great pictures too. I am longing for WDW right now and your pix just gave me the fix I needed. :)

He was a bit squirrely while I showered I will admit. But the girls slept through it.... I hurried!

what a great way to start the day! i love early morning walks around disney world.....even though mine aren't exactly early!

what a great picture! your DH needs this framed and on his desk!

I felt like MeMom... but it was so fun and calm... no hectic hurries.

OMGosh! Could your kids get any cuter?! I love it. It looks like such a fun breakfast and how nice to just hop on and off the monorail! :cloud9:

I knew there was going to be ticket issues from your foreshadowing. I hope it gets worked out easily.

Great updates!

It was a fantastic breakfast.... we all agreed. I wish my parents could have been there, we will go back for sure.

like someone before me said, your kids are just absolutely adorable! i don't even know which picture to quote because they're all so good! luke was looking at lilo like, "what in the heck is that????" :lmao: so funny that emily was scared of the characters but she'll stand with that creepy-looking tiki guy! :rotfl2:

i hope you got the meal thing worked out. two years ago in september of '07 they didn't add the DDP to our ressie by mistake and couldn't work it out until DVC opened (i was with tara at OKW on DVC points) the next morning at like 10:00. we would be at MK by then and didn't want to have to come all the way back to OKW to work it out in the middle of the day so they told us to just buy our food and we'd get reimbursed when we stopped by the lobby on the way to the room the next night. i hope they did something like that for you!

He was a bit taken aback by Stitch... he is kinda scary. There is no forcing Emily to do anything, nor talking her out of anything either. She is a force to be reckoned with.

The food thing does get resolved easily... the tickets though oh my!

Luke is such a cutie with his two teeth, he already has a wonderful smile. All the pictures are great of your family. I love the family with Mickey, your dh and Mickey almost match.

Hanna has grown so much since the pictures from last year.

Thanks for the compliments. The matching shirts were funny. DH wished Luke had one, oh well. Hannah has gotten big, I agree!

I think so too! it's a great picture!

He also needs to frame the family pic with Mickey, they both look very color coordinated.:goodvibes
Another post with great pictures, Hanna with the bread, she looks so very pleased and Em with that juice!

The progression of the kids with the characters is so funny, (sorry Luke) but watching him watching them, then it's like get me out of here!
Laura, I love your backpack! What print is that?

The backpack is in a retired pattern. I got it last year from the Vera Bradley outlet sale, I think it was Mesa Red. I loved that pattern, my Hipster is in it. I cracked up a few times when I realized DH was hauling it on his back, we used two bags on park days, a regular backpack and that one.

I loved watching Luke with the characters. And he sure seemed to be having a great time on that patio! What a great spot for pictures!! I could easily see spending a while just looking. It's nice to at least have something fun to do like that when the little ones are up so early. I remember in Virginia Beach when my littlest was only about 2 months old, he woke up in time for me to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic. Not something I probably would have done on my own :rolleyes1, but something I ended up enjoying.

The dining plan issue is a bum - who wants to waste good vacation time going from resort to resort on Disney buses? (Nothing against Disney buses, but they're not the quickest form of transportation when you need to do something like that) Looking forward to seeing what happened!:surfweb:

Resort to resort moving is hard.. it took us forever later in the trip to get from CSR to the Contemporary!

What a fun breakfast you had! So many happy smiles! :)

Also, I love your shoes!! :thumbsup2

Land End... they are super comfy, but our "wet" day coming up they ended up with some blisters...

Yes, the shoes, super cute, details please!

Lands End, this summer, they are good shoes, good support. It took me a day or two to break in!

What a fabulous update!! Your pictures are wonderful!! I especially love the ones at the Poly (I LOVE it there so I'm a little partial). You got some great family pics at O'hana!! Your kids are so photogenic--so sweet!!

Your girls are too cute! I would love to stay at the Poly, but I doubt that happens now that we have DVC... although we probably will try out the pool since we can pool hop!

Great update! I just love your early morning pictures around the Contemporary! What a peaceful and relaxing way to start the day -- gazing at the Castle! :cloud9: Luke looks like he had a great time with you that morning!

What a pain about the dining plan, though! I wonder if the Contemporary could have fixed that for you?

You know I never asked them. We figured it out when my parents arrived that Dad and DH would take the car over and check in that morning at CSR. Then we would meet at EPCOT!

First of all, congratulations for purchasing DVC!!! I am SO excited for you!! And a little teeny bit jealous.

What a nice relaxing morning at the Contemporary. The more I see the more I want to stay there!

It was a great breakfast. I understand the jealous too...

Oh my goodness, your kids are the cutest! Luke looks like he was really enjoying himself even though he was a little unsure about Stitch.

The 'Ohana breakfast looks like a lot of fun, I hope to make that one someday!

It is a must try!

I love your update! Your pictures are fantastic!! What a great first morning!

Such a relaxing morning.

Great updates! I loved your pictures from strolling around and from breakfast. You have some great pictures from breakfast. We enjoyed that breakfast as well.

Thanks... glad it was a hit for you all too!

Em turned the corner... and turned on her charm!

Can't wait for more!

I will try to upload pics tomorrow and get this day done.

Luke was a trooper. I had visions of him being hard, because he is demanding. He was not a good sleeper at night, but he was fantastic despite the heat and hectic days. He never was bad, unless he saw the bottle being made and we did not get it to him quick enough!

My two favorites from this batch. They are great!
And what a great experience, too!

It was fun, but I totally see wanting to try new ones. I would like to try Cape May, which you are doing right?

I just realized that Luke isn't in the Maclaren. Did you change your mind about bringing it?

That came in the car with my parents. I figured it took less car space, plus I would have been mad if the airlines broke it. However the big stroller did go to the parks somedays... he could recline and sleep easier in it.

I'm not completely up to date on your TR, but I love your most recent installmets. Your children are so cute and your pictures are great. Your breakfast at Ohana looks so perfect. Congrats on the DVC purchase! Now you have years and years of vacations to plan!

Planning is the fun part. We got our password for the site today, but not our packet yet... I am waiting, not so patiently!

The leis were fun and our O' Hana's pic was good, we even bought it.

I felt like MeMom... but it was so fun and calm... no hectic hurries.

Yes, your picture was SO good!

Morning walks anywhere in Disney - YAY!
I can't wait to be doing that again very soon.

Yes, we are doing Cape May on the 30th at brunch time - about 10:30, I think. Jill did all the ADR planning, but it is somewhere in that area. I am excited to get to see the characters in their beachwear, and of course I can't wait to see Brooklynn and Bella lovin' on their Disney beach buddies. :)

Great pictures of the whole family.:thumbsup2 I love the one of Em next to the Tiki and Hannah looking at her like, "Are you sure you should be standing that close?":rotfl:

Laura, I'm searching for the shoes, I think I found them, are they the Mary Jane Trekkers? How do they run size wise?
Anita

Cape May is on the list for the next trip. If things work out I can see the gang in their beach gear. I can't wait for the preview from you all!

They had many moments when Hannah gave Em that look!

Ah... those are pretty cute, I might end up with a pair of those too.

Wednesday, June 17th

After we reunited in our room we quickly got our swimsuits on and headed to the pool. Once again plenty of poolside seats, but we headed back in the shady corner. Everyone took a dip, and then Luke started the eye rubbing, which lead to this

IMG_0215.jpg

and he was quickly asleep in his stroller again.

Our plans for the day included:

3-3:30 Temporary Tatoos

3:30-4:00 Giant Jenga

4:30-5:00 Pool Basketball

5:00-6:00 So you think you know Disney Trivia?

8:00 Campfire on the Beach

8:30 Movie under the stars

10:00 Electrical Water Pageant /Wishes

So we swam from probably 12:30 to around 2:45. The kids kept the slide busy,

IMG_0218.jpg

and then we headed inside for a snack/ late lunch.

Emily and Hannah split the nuggets kids and I got a salad. DH had some of my salad, and the girls fought about the darn chocolate pudding ordered by DH....

we must have missed the tatoos, which was fine because quickly the kids got involved in the Jenga

taking some quick dips to stay cool! They also shot a few baskets too.

IMG_0229.jpg

We were super ready for trivia, and got started on the game... but then the rain started, slow with my kids still swimming, but then the lightening and thunder started, so the pool area was closed. They had some awesome prizes, but we got a few rubber ducks for playing...

So we headed back to our room to regroup, pack and check in again with my parents. They thought they would be at the Contemporary around 7, so we decided to get dressed... and head to the main building.

Once there we decided we had time for a trip around on the monorail. We planned to eat dinner with them. So we took our twenty minute ride...

and went back to the counter service place. DH and the girls ordered dinner.... I was still stuffed from lunch , and thinking now I never ate dinner that night?

My parents arrived, grabbed food and we ate with them, heading out to the beach around 8 for the campfire, but sadly the rain had ruined it for the night.

IMG_0230.jpg

But the movie was on, and we headed to get swim suits on the girls...

and they swam, explored the beach and were disappointed again (technical difficulties... the movie, Pinocchio never started). Part of me was now thinking they were preparing me for leaving tomorrow, since the last three activities we had planned on doing fell apart!

IMG_0231.jpg

IMG_0232.jpg

So around 9:30 we all separated. DH and EM headed to the patio to see Wishes... grr, Luke and I walked to get him tired, and at 10:15 Hannah and my parents made a beeline to the lake to catch the water Pageant.

Finally around 10:30 everyone pass out, we were packed up and ready to head to EPCOT the next morning. My mom and I were taking the monorail with the kids, and DH and my dad were headed to CSR to check in. They were going to catch a bus from there and meet us at EPCOT!
