June 28, 2009 ~ 4 night on the Wonder!

Choose a place for the meet & greet

  • Goofy Pool 3pm first day.

  • Promenade Lounge 3pm first day.

  • I like one of these locations but prefer to discuss a different time.

  • I can't make any meet & greets.

I should have enough to add another to my FE list. Just email me the updated list please

I should have enough to add another to my FE list. Just email me the updated list please

Any additions can be done one on one through email since the list was closed. There are some that had planned only for the amount that was on the list when it closed.

That is a great idea to take a picture of all the stuff instead of tagging everything. That is what I am going to do! Just lugged the luggage down from the garage attic. IT IS HOT!! Cannot wait to be sippin' somethin' yummy by the pool!:cool1:

I still have a few items left over for our exchange. I may have just enough to add you guys to MY list. If anyone else has extra gifts and would like to exchange with you guys they may contact you directly since the "official" list is closed. If you guys would like to exchange with me & my family, send me an email at ctx306 at aol dot com. :)

Thanks Blue eyed girl! I'll have to pass on the FE, I am kind of on overload doing ds b'day onboard. We did get the kids small things to find when we get back to the room. I just didnt plan ahead enough. We hope to meet you all on sail day!! This is what i look like today...washing & packing! lol:laundy:

Ok, lightweight. ;)

I still think I need to separate everything so the kids can deliver the goods to the right place. My stuff will be obvious, I got most of it from my marketing department. Yeah St. Pete!

We have cruised Disney 3 times, and here are a few of our little tips:
Pack: Colored highlighters- to mark the navigators (different colors for different people in your family, or to rate must vs. maybe, etc.)
Beach Bag-sunscreen, bottled water, camera and baby powder(cuts sand off
of hands/skin on beach)
Aloe Vera gel for sunburn-hope you don't need it
disposable cameras for the children to take their own pictures
our choice of liquer/wine for the room
notebook -to write the days experiences, memories, etc. believe me after a year, you do forget some things.
$1 bills to tip room service
Binoculars- kids enjoy them on the verandah
wire hangers- there's not enough provided, then I throw away at end of trip
I pack a small pouch of items that I leave in the suitcase, but want on hand if something does come up: various meds(diahreah/constipation, cough, etc bandaids, travel sewing kit, stain stick for clothes)
Other:
Order coffee to be delivered to your room in the morning while you shower/dress. Order form is in desk drawer, hang on door knob before you go to bed. Room service's coffee is wonderful. We also order choc. milk for kids to tie them over 'till we go to breakfast. If you have a verandah, it's a beautiful start to the day to sit out together over coffee!

pack young children's outfits in plastic bags(ex 1 gal ziploc) Outfits won't get mixed up in the drawers or shelves in the trunk. Keeps these areas tidy.

Mickey head ice cream is available through room service, although it's not on the menu. (Room service usually takes 30 mins to deliver)

Go the check-in early, like 10. You will get an earlier pass to board, and can take your time checking in the kids club line in the terminal, take pictures with a character. Take a picture outside on the balcony to the right of the entrance area, by kids club check in- the ship will be right behind you, it's a nice shot.

Carry on bag- I only pack the kid's swimsuits and a camera. (They change into their suits in a restroom next to the pool.)

For Celebration decor in room- you can order decor through Disney, and your room will be decorated by your steward. Or, you can buy your own decor (banners, etc.) While the kids are at the pool, and before they have seen the room, you can go hang decor in your room. You are allowed access at 1:30. I usually go to the room to begin unpacking by myself while the kids swim at that time, so I see the room before they do anyway.

Put down all your purses/ bags to the side before taking your group Embarkation Photo!

Parrot Cay has a nicer atmosphere for lunch than the other buffet offered on embarkation if you want to sit down for a nice meal.

Most important- Remember to take it slow, enjoy the relaxing moments. Plan your day with the activities that you're offered on the navigator, but don't OVERplan your time, and just Enjoy!

Looking forward to it!

Just got all my FE stuff organized and packed!:banana:WooHoo!!
I am getting so excited! I can hardly stand it! I keep dreaming about room service, cookies and milk every night before bed,:rainbow:.
Can't wait to meet everyone, my girls are getting excited too. Only 4 more days!!:woohoo:

Good. Now you can come to my house and organize mine, since you are so excited and all. :rolleyes1

I put a hold on my mail today. Now I need to get moving on packing everything. There's so much to do, and so much time to procrastinate doing it.

Just cause I'm excited doesn't mean I wanna pack for 2 families, girlie!! I got all the pirate stuff packed after dinner, and my head is about to pop off getting separate bags for the cruise and the hotel after. We are going to stay in Orlando for the weekend to prolong our vacation- a transition back to reality, of sorts.
Back to my show-So You Think You Can Dance-:banana::banana::love:

Oooh I have to put a stop on my mail tomorrow!! Tomorrow afternoon we kennel our dog and hopefully will be finished packing by then. We leave early Friday morning! :woohoo: I can't believe how close we finally are. I booked this trip a year ago. Talk about a LONG time to wait for a vacation.

I am excited for you too!! Have a safe trip down, and we will see you on Sunday :banana::banana: ( I just love those dancing bananas!).

Quick question... On the Disney Cruise line website it says to go to "cruise terminal A" at the port. But when i try to map it out, they only have cruise terminal NUMBERS. Which terminal is the correct one??

When you are approaching Port Canaveral there are signs that will direct you to the appropriate Cruise Terminal. It is marked really well. The Port is small anyway. Two more days pirate: We are staying at Cocoa the night before so that we can be at the terminal bright and early :cool1:

Thanks! :thumbsup2
We will be at Cocoa Beach too!

I think it's safe to say from viewing the poll that our new place & time for the meet and greet is at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge.

How will we find each other? We could have a lime green Mickey Head viewable. :confused3

My group will be wearing matching t-shirts that say "G.B.F. Cruisers". I don't have any lime green Mickey Heads. I know, unthinkable for a Dis'er.
