Help with budget Phineas and Ferb party

My ds, who is going to be 7, wants an at home Phineas and Ferb birthday party. Since the show is so new, there really isn't much out there in the way of ideas for a party. I was thinking of drawing a giant Perry for "pin the tail on the platypus" and then having the kids go on a scavenger hunt of some kind to foil Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Any ideas? I know not every kid will know who Pand F are but my ds adores them and it is his dream party right now.

I need all the help I can get!

Pool full of jello? Just kidding. :rotfl2: My DS adores that show, and I get a kick out of the jokes that go over his head.

How about a Swinter theme? Snowcones, snowball fights with homemade soft "snowballs"(balls made from cotton balls inside sections of white tights), snowman crafts and snowflake decorations- you could go crazy with that and have the kids wear their bathing suits.

You might not have to draw Perry. See if you can find a coloring book page to print out at home. Take it to Staples and have them blow it up to an 11x14 or so.

LOVE the idea for a pool full of Jello!!! LOL!!!

I like the idea for a scavenger hunt to foil Doofenschmirtz! Watch the show closely and pick one of the evil plots and go from there.

At least you should have your color scheme down... go orange and green! Some crepe paper and plain plates will do plenty. See if there are any printouts on the Disney website to help with favors or ideas.

Maybe I can do some sort of "secret agent" party? To honor agent P? I'll run it by my ds. Any good secret agent ideas?

I have an overhead projector at school so I can easily make a giant Perry on posterboard. I'll probably do the same for Phineas, Ferb, and Dr. D. I just blow it up onto poster board and trace it. Easy peasy and inexpensive too.

We love Phineas and Ferb. :lovestruc

I would think it would be super easy to make a Perry cake--one 13X9 pan and one square pan to use for the beak and tail. You'd just need to get white icing to color in the right colors.

Put out a bunch of blocks, rulers, pencils, etc. and they can show they ain't got rhythm. :cool1: I love the scavenger hunt idea.

You Tube has a ton of episodes to watch. You could get lots of ideas there from the silly clips they show.

Party favor ideas? Why, shoelaces of course!
A-G-L-E-T Aglet, don't forget it! ;)

(I couldn't understand why my DSons were running around singing this - then I paid attention to the show!)

:rotfl2: My 7 year old DS likes to use bath crayons in the shower. AGLET is currently displayed on the shower wall in giant orange letters. :lmao:

That is our all time favorite episode! My DS's 8th birthday is Monday and we ordered him a customized t-shirt from disneystore.com. It has Phineas & Ferb on the front of the shirt and on the back it says:

A -G - L-E - T

Don't forget it...

I can't wait to see him open his gifts!

Hop over to the Creative DIS-igns board and see if someone can do some designing for you. They could probably whip up some printable invitations for you and something to print on iron on transfer paper to make your DS a t-shirt 9or even ones for everyone at the party, if you're feeling generous!). Check out this thread to get the ideas going! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2079652

Crayola makes fabric crayons where you color on a regular sheet of paper with the crayons, and then flip it over and iron it on a shirt (or bag, or whatever). You could get P&F coloring pages, and have everyone design their own shirts. Just be careful to remind them that they have to write BACKWARD if they want to add words.

You could have the kids build a giant ice cream sundae like the one that P&F's machine was supposed to make before the blueprints got switched with Doofensmirtz's.

And maybe a toned down, less dangerous version of the "F Games"?

Target has Phineas and Ferb t-shirts with Perry on them. Located in the boys department. Oriental Trade has platypus items as well, look at their VBS outback theme items for Perry-like things.
