Tut-Tut, it Looks Like Rain! May '09 Trip Report. *Finished! 9/27 Pg. 69.

Smoking in line??? That's chutzpah!!! And rude!!!

Glad you only stopped once!!! Love your future!!! :lmao:

I hope your feet start to feel better soon!
I though are future was really good! I enjoyed them a lot this trip. My feet were the bane of my existence during this trip.

I agree Anita! BAN THE SMOKERS DISNEY! BAN THE SMOKERS! In reality, all the people that would stay away, would be replaced by people who stay away BECAUSE of that.

Can't wait to read about Le Cellier, LL!
I don't think Disney will ever do that even though I wish they would.

LL, I have spent all day reading your PTR and now your TR. I have to tell you that I am hooked and can't wait to read more.:)
Thanks for reading the PTR & TR. That's a lot of reading! :lmao:

Yeah...smoking in line is disrespectful. You shoulda slapped it from her mouth Jackie Chan style:thumbsup2 Then done the Olivia Newton John from Grease foot stomp on the cigarette.
I don't have the guts to do that but that would have ruled! You should seek someone out on your next trip and capture those moves on video! :rotfl2:

I'd sign a 'ban smoking' petition.
Write it up!

Thanks for the update, LL!
Everyone's updates help make our last five weeks so much happier!
They really do make your countdown happier, that is how I felt while waiting for my trip!

My feet are hurting for you!! I sure hope your meal at Le Cellier helped you feel better.
The blisters were awful this time around, in fact my feet are STILL recovering from them and I came home on May 30th!

I agree with everyone else: smoking in line is unaceptable! :scared1:

I really like the little films on Spaceship Earth! They are so silly! :goodvibes Hope you made it through the time until your ADR! Looking forward to hear about your meal
They are silly but they really make me laugh.

Great update LL! Did you see a lot of photpass photogs out at Epcot? We have never done Spaceship Earth, I know this will sound dumb, but will you know when they are taking your photo? I really want to go on this with my kids.

Stacy
Yes, you do know when they take your photo. In fact you can see a tv that shows your faces so you know that you will be in the photo. :thumbsup2 I did see a lot of photopass people in France and I had never seen them there before.

That SSE line moved really quickly for how long it looked!

Yuck to smoking in general and especially in line. I always make it a point to cough really obnoxiously when I walk past a smoker and inhale their second hand smoke.

Your poor feet!

Okay, I have NOT read the past three days I was camping in the woods with the wild things, but I wanted you to know that I am back and will catch up today!! :goodvibes Looking forward to hearing more about your trip! :)

I love this pic, it's so cute!!! :goodvibes I also think it's kinda funny how SE crops your head. Was there something reallly floating that far above Jen's head that it kept all the extra in? :rotfl: From one with Joe, Henry and I, Henry was on my lap and it nabbed his picture instead of Joe's. It was hilarious!

but I was thinking that maybe for a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween costume I'd go as the stylish computer lab chick with the lab coat, plaid mini, yellow tights and patent leather boots. What do you think? I'm just not sure where to buy yellow tights. :confused3

BEST.COSTUME.EVAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO IT DO IT DO IT!

So many people would "get it" and those who didn't would just think you rocked those yellow tights. I'm sure you'll be able to find yellow tights online somewhere or as we get closer to Halloween!!! I LOVE THIS IDEA CHRISTINE!!!!! :rotfl:

(sorry for the hijack!)

That would be the best costume EVER. :lmao: I bet a lot of people would catch onto it too! Hehehe.

BEST.COSTUME.EVAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks gals. Do you think more than true DIS'ers would "get it"? Even if it was only meaningful to DIS diehards that would be ok. Oh lord, I can see the pictures now. :lmao: I'd better start a regimine of lunges/squats if I'm going to be wearing a mini and rocking those yellow tights! :scared1: :lmao: :rotfl:

The line did move quickly, I find that most lines move pretty quickly at Disney.

Welcome Home from camping! You are going to be in Disney in a blink of an eye!

:lmao: No there wasn't something above Jen's head. I think it's so funny the way they cut out faces. :rotfl2:

I think it would be a great costume!
Thanks for the info LL!

Stacy
You are welcome! :goodvibes

Oh, C!!! I think all of the true die-hard Epcot fans will get it!!! It's a great costume idea!!!
Yes it is!! Do it!!

We left off with a little less than two hours to go until our Le Cellier ADR. I was cranky and trying not to bring Jen down with my crankiness. We decided to make our way over to World Showcase and ride the Mexico ride.

Jen pointed out this amazing light fixture as we were walking toward the Gran Fiesta..is that what it is called? I think this is one of my top 10 light fixtures of the trip. Just gorgeous!

Still disturbed by the Donald Pinata.

After our ride we sat down on a bench, I needed a nice cool rest. We talked about our plans. I was contemplating not going to Animal Kingdom, I was tired and needed a rest. I was overtired and cranky. I didn't want to bring Jen down though so I just mentioned it briefly and said I would keep thinking about it. I was too cranky and tired to even get school bread. I don't know what was bringing me down but I was on Epcot Overload and the more overloaded I got the more sad I became because I didn't want any of the short time I had with Jen tainted with crankiness!

We decided to slowly head over to Canada and perhaps check in early. We stopped along the way to get a beautiful monorail picture.

While I waited for my perfect monorail shot, Jen was on bird patrol. We also discussed my fear of birds. It's ironic because I love sitting at my desk at home staring out the window at my goldfinches and hummingbirds, just don't come inside my house and I'm good.

We waited a LONG time for those perfect shots! We kept hearing Test Track and thought it was the monorail everytime. We kept laughing at ourselves after awhile cause we would do a little jump everytime we thought it was coming. It probably took a good 20 minutes or so for it to come back around.

We kept meandering over to Canada and we saw a photopass CM over by the gardens in Canada. I think the actually photopass ones are better but you get the idea of these ones from Jen's camera.

The photo CM kinda made a snarky comment about the design on our tshirts. She said that she met the artist of it and that did we know she doesn't make a penny from the use of her design. She made me feel bad and I was in Disney. I don't think she intended too, I just have this little flaw where I think people are attacking me all the time.

At this point it was about 1:20PM, our ADR was for 1:50PM but we decided to see if we could at least check in early and sit on the bench in the AC. We were still planning on trying to make the 3:30 Finding Nemo show at Animal Kingdom.

Jen went up to the podium, the CM was having a hard time with his computer so he sent us inside. Inside, I gave my name to the CM. She couldn't find me. I spelled my name out since sometimes they spell it completely wrong.

When she still couldn't find me, I pulled out my itinerary with the confirmation numbers on it. I glanced down to the Le Cellier ADR and my heart fell down to my toes. Our ADR wasn't for 1:50PM, it was for 12:50PM.....WE WERE THIRTY MINUTES LATE! :scared1:

All I can think to say right now is.............Oh NOOOOOO! :scared:
Now let me go back and process the rest.

OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 30 minutes late to your ressie?!!:scared1: You poor thing, you were in a funk and then this happens!?!!:confused3 I can't wait to hear what happens, I forget from FB!

Love all the pics you took of the monorail, they were so worth the wait!!:goodvibes

I love how each park had a balloon of their "icon".

It took us a couple of days to realize the design in each park incorporated their icons.

Oh, it's beautiful! I think it would look very nice over my kitchen table.

ME TOO!!! Why are those kids beating a pinata of Donald when he is missing??? Gives a whole new dimension to the ride!!! That and the scene where his friends ask the waiter and he reveals a tray of roasted duck!

I don't know what was bringing me down but I was on Epcot Overload and the more overloaded I got the more sad I became because I didn't want any of the short time I had with Jen tainted with crankiness!

I had Epcot Overload on our trip, too. I understand completely!

NOOOOO!!!!! Oh, please, do not leave us hanging for long on this one, LL!

2 updates in 1 weekend. :woohoo:

Oh No, 30 minutes late FOR your ADR and of all places Le Cellier. I hope you got some Disney magic.:wizard:

I love the pictures in the parks for the Celebration theme. I cant wait to see it all and get my new mug in August. :yay::yay:

Cant wait for the next episode, you left us hanging. popcorn::popcorn::

Beautiful Epcot pics. Oh no about the LC ressie time. We were over 30 min late to our ADR at Y&Y-they still seated us, hope you got ur yummy lunch too.

This foot pain seems to be causing some major problems........how is it now that you are home?

Even with your Epcot overload you managed some great pictures, the monorail pictures were awesome!

All I can think to say right now is.............Oh NOOOOOO! :scared:

That is how I felt. I heard the scream in my head!

Yes, it did not help my Epcot Overdose AT ALL.
They were worth the wait. I have one of them as my desktop background at work. I love looking at it.

It took us a couple of days to realize the design in each park incorporated their icons.
It's so cute! I love the What Will You Celebrate decorations!

Oh, it's beautiful! I think it would look very nice over my kitchen table.
Marc lives in fear that when we have a house I will spend lots of $$ on light fixtures. I told him that is an absolute guarentee! :lmao:

I totally blocked out the duck the waiter reveals. Why oh why would they do that!?!

I had Epcot Overload on our trip, too. I understand completely!
That makes me feel a little bit better. I was feeling horrible this day. I just wanted to sleep. :rotfl:

NOOOOO!!!!! Oh, please, do not leave us hanging for long on this one, LL!
Not for long, I am hoping to get the next update today sometime.

Your GOOD! I never even "got" that! I hope your crabbies went away soon.
The crabbies came and went on this trip. :rolleyes1

2 updates in 1 weekend. :woohoo:
:dance3:

Oh No, 30 minutes late FOR your ADR and of all places Le Cellier. I hope you got some Disney magic.:wizard:
I seriously wanted to pass out. I can't even tell you how horrible I was feeling. I didn't want to disappoint Jen!

They are great decorations and I love the new mugs! I use mine almost everyday at work. :cloud9:

Thanks! That was nice of Y&Y! :rolleyes1

The foot pain was ridiculous the entire trip. It wasn't my heel from my plantar fascitis either, it was the stupid blisters on the part of my feet underneath my toes, what is that part called? :rotfl2: They were horrible. They are doing better now, still healing a bit.

I bet that your foot pain wasn't helping any with your crankiness. On my last trip I was stupid enough to wear my poor, no cushioning keds the day I went on my Segway tour, and paid for it the rest of the day. Seriously, there were points in the day that I just wanted to burst out crying, and I was battling the crankiness something terrible. All I could think of was my poor miserable feet. Come to think about it, that was our Le Cellier night, when we had to wait over 45 minutes for our ADR. Luckily after sitting through dinner they felt much better, but until then I was so miserable.

Me and sore feet just don't agree with each other.

I feel the same way about foot pain, it really really makes me cranky. This day wasn't super bad but I was feeling very discouraged. I kept thinking this is my first full day and I'm this miserable, how is the rest of the week going to go? :headache: I also started to walk in a way to compensate for my blisters which just starts to make other parts of your feet, legs and even hips start to hurt. Sigh. Next trip I will have a comprehensive foot/blister/shoe plan. :thumbsup2

Okay okay are you going to seriously leave that trailer....

Well, this past Nov I totally mixed up my ADR for Sci Fi and they were able to squeeze us in, so I am HOPING the CM did some disney magic for you...

Hoping... hoping...

BUT while I wait (cough, cough) and hope, and hope, and wait (cough, cough) I must say that I LOVE the pictures you shared. I have NEVER been inside the pavillions, only on the outside when we walked the WShowcase in the past -- I never knew there was more there!!!! :rolleyes1 Can you believe that?!? I had only been in Morocco and Germany... I am going to experience a lot of the WS @ Epcot for the first time, really, this trip!!! So your photos have been a treat.

Anyway, still waiting... (cough, cough, cough, cough, cough......) :rolleyes1
