So...is there a Canadian Singles Thread over here?

Not a single parent, but I am single, and thus a solo traveller. Does that count?

Add me in. Widowed dad, soon to be DVC (SSR) owner.

Son, Brendan (9), Daughters Jessica and Ciara (5), yes twins.

Single mom with 13 yr old girl! Disney nuts! We live on the west coast, so DL is easier to access for us, but last 2 trips have been to WDW and DCL, with a DCL upcoming in Feb.

Another DVC'er! Ohhhhhhh!!!!!!

I am sorry about your wife.

How do you pronounce your daughter's name? See-air-a or Key-air-a (or Key-are-a) regardless, it is pretty!

Here is a question, that I have been thinking about an awful lot lately. Well first let me start with this:
I was separated in May 2006, and FINALLY after lengthy legal nonsense, am divorced as of April this year. :O)

I often find myself wanting to be able to share things with someone special, but I do nothing about it, sadly. However, I am thinking about it more and more, and wanting it more and more and feel that the time has come TO do something!

So that said. I was on Plenty of Fish once for a short time 2 years ago. What a disaster. But now I am wondering maybe it is time to try something like that again?

Has anyone tried/had experience with/know someone who did have experience with eharmony.ca? Or other ways of meeting online? Or of trying to get out and meet people in person?

Widowed mom here to a boy (currently 9). I've been a DVC'er since 2006. I think the beauty of Disney as a single parent is how easy the vacation is. When I vacation (especially when DS was really young) I need help, carrying luggage, getting me settled, etc. And that's when I found DVC and never turned back. :) DVC is amazing for investment, and I love the accomodations I receive when we're there :):hippie:

It's Key-air-a. She's 5 going on 37. I swear she'll be a lawyer by the age of 12.

I've tried pretty much everything. Eharmony.ca for over 2 years. Made a few friends, but no real connections. Even tried speed dating, or in other words, being rejected by 25 women in one night instead of just one.

Actually, I'm kid free this weekend. Anyone up for a night out without Hannah Montana or Jonus brothers music? :)

And as for DVC, I'm waiting for my contract to go through. Hopefully what you said about getting help is true. It wasn't too easy at All Star Music.

I see you are in Toronto, too bad. :guilty: I am about 3.5 hours East of you. My kid free weekend ijust started now too. A night out would have been wonderful.

I went ahead and put myself on eharmony tonight. I have been googling to see if there is a free weekend coming up, to try that for a few days before making a commitment to the plan
