DAY 4-APRIL 4th.
.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.
Guess what? Yes i woke at 2-50am AGAIN ,did something spooky happen in this room at precisely 2-50am once upon a time :scared: .Thankfully i managed to go back to sleep and woke at 7am,i woke Tony+the girls at 8am.Today was a no park day so we was'nt in a huge rush this morning. No breakfast for me or Tony this morning as we was having an early dinner instead of lunch at the TRex Cafe. Also we was due to be meeting David(wickesy)+his Dad Ray at 12noon.The girls snacked on juice, fudge cookies+a banana muffin-nice+healthy .
Tonight was Mardis Gras at Universal Studios-where we was supposed to be going to see MCHammer-but i still had'nt made my mind up,mainly for 2 reasons-Emily just was'nt coping with the late evenings+reading about security being an issue on the UNI/IOA boards before we got here was playing on my mind.
We got ourselves ready and got a Taxi to DTD-$26,arriving at 10.10am.We wandered around slowly taking pics along the way.
PICT1751.jpg
Chloe took this and not one of us realised until we got the pics developed that the Balloon was behind us.

We made our way over to TRex at 11-40am and waited for David+Ray,i was so nervous,my belly was turning somersaults .They turnt up about 11.50am+i went to check us in for our 12noon ressie,we were seated in under 5mins right underneath the Wooly Mammoths. Our orders were taken pretty quickly, but the food did'nt show pretty quickly-but that did'nt bother me one bit,as it meant we had lots of time to talk to David+Ray.And why i was nervous i will never know-as these 2 guys are the most kindest+nicest people you would love to meet. They brought gifts for Chloe for her birthday, also for Emily so that she never felt left out+also a gift for me .I was very suprised+was so grateful-thank you again David +Ray .x.

Tony+Myself-Triceratop Filet Each - Our charbroiled center-cut, aged tenderloin filet, topped with steak butter and served with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables $29.99.We each had a cherry coke.

Girls shared a Paleo Pizza -pepperoni $6.99 and a portion of waffle fries 99c,and 2 Sprites.

David-Layers of the Earth Lasagna - Fresh pasta layered with homemade tomato and meat sauce, Ricotta, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, baked to perfection $15.99,and a Coke.

Ray-Triceratop Filet and a Coke.

Now being the kind people that they are, they used there DVC card to get money off the entire bill, including ours.
I am a HUGE steak lover, and believe me this was THE best steak i had tasted in years.it was so soft+succulent. The girls enjoyed there pizza+fries+David said his Lasagne was very tasty. All our plates were cleared-so it must have been good.
We loved this place,i was worried that the Meteor Shower, combined with the animals going ballistic+noisy would frighten Emily, but it was'nt as bad as i had read on peoples trippies-the effect was fantastic. The Meteor Shower goes off aprox every 20-30mins.We will deffinatley be coming back here in 2011.
It was then time to say our goodbyes :sad1:.A few piccies.....

Now this was the time the girls had been waiting for-Build-A-Dino .And i must say what a brilliant(but expensive)place.
Firstly they picked there Dino's,Emily a Triceratops+Chloe a TRex-then you get them stuffed, pick a sound, the girls picked a roar, you pop in a heart+make a wish, and then they get sewn up.Then you take them to be brushed+blow dryed to fluff them up,then you pick there clothes, give them a name+get a birth certificate printed, and then pass 2 large baskets filled to the brim to Mummy where she takes them to the till and pays $226.85 :scared1:,yes you did read that right :lmao:.

The girls were extremely happy with Troy(Chloe's)+Ryan(Emily's).
PICT1847.jpg
These Dino's are better dressed than me .

Next we went to the Lego store for the girls to spend some of there money and no more of ours ;),we were in here for what seemed like a full day-yes i can't stand Lego,it always seems to be my feet that find it in the house.Tony was also in his element here.Chloe ended up makin the little men that fit in a lanyard/pouch around your neck-$9.99 and an Indiana Jones set.
Next we made our way to Once Upon A Toy for Emily to spend her $$,she chose to fill the box with Mr Potato Head parts-$19.She+Chloe built some Potato Heads while me+Tony tried our best to stuff this box the best we could with what Emily picked, but we were not succeding very well,so i called for extra back up from the guy behind the counter+he turnt out to be a genius at packing these boxes :worship:,and we ended up picking more stuff to wedge in there.

Emily with her masterpiece.

Next we headed to Ghiradelli for a rest,i have heard so much about this place and there delicous sundaes that we thought we should really try it .
Tony-A large Peanut Butter Sundae
Me-A large Caramel Sundae
Girls shared a large kid's Smore's Sundae which came with a goody bag,inside was a square of chocolate,colouring pad+crayons,i mentioned i had 2 girls+was given another.
We shared a large cherry coke, total was $25.13,now yes i thought this was quite expensive for ice-cream,so it had better be good+boy it did not dissapoint :worship:,these sundaes were out of this world.
Whilst Tony+the girls sat+people watched,i made my way to World Of Disney to look for a Tink watch for Chloe for her birthday next week.I found a gorgeous one for $31.90 inc tax :thumbsup2.Whilst having this time to myself i reflected on what David+Ray said earlier, they had gone to Mardis Gras the week before and they were very, very shocked at the lack of security, the pushing+shoving to get the beads etc..,so i decided that i was'nt going to risk the safety of my girls+decided not to go.
I made my way back to find the terrible 3,and we decided that enough was enough-Emily could'nt walk anymore as 'her feet had told her they were getting sleepy' :cutie:.So we got a Taxi back $23 and arrived at the hotel aprox 5.40pm.The girls were thirsty,so we made our way to the free managers reception which is held in the hotel every evening between 5-7pm.So the girls helped themselves to a Sprite+a Coke, popcorn, crisps+nachos.Me +Tony decided to try the cocktails-2 Suite Life's,1 Satisfaction Guaranteed+1Wake Up Call. All were very refreshing :thumbsup2.All we paid was a $ tip to the girls for every 2 drinks we ordered :thumbsup2.(other drinks available included beer+wine).
Back to the room where the girls decided to dress+undress there Dino's+play with there other goodies.Girls were bathed+in bed by 8-30pm,with me+Tony showering+in bed by 10pm.

Coming up on Day 5 AK,where Chloe takes a tumble+Emily meets her true love.Stay Tuned :thumbsup2.

Best day of the trip so far Michelle. ;) I was nervous as well (mainly because of the warning about Chloe giving us an interrogation :lmao:) but you and Tony made us feel like old friends and I was impressed with how well behaved the girls were - I don't think we heard a peep out of them the entire time. Thank you for a great lunch and hopefully we can do it again some time.

$226.85 :scared1: OUCH!! Once in a lifetime though and all that.

Sorry you never got to see MC Hammer, I know you were so looking forward to that before you went. :guilty:

Great photos again :thumbsup2

Another great report. :)

I can't believe you were $226 in build a Dino, I know the stores are expensive over here, but I've never spent more than £30 kitting out a bear. :O I bet they loved them though. :)

what another lovely day Michelle, Fab piccies especially the one of Emily her potato head :thumbsup2

$226 for two dinos !! :faint:  Wow, that's a shocker

What a great day Michelle. We love T-Rex too, and an early lunch is a perfect time to go (not as busy). Love your pics too :)

We also had a great time, and we would also like to do it again.Just a shame that the TWO times :rolleyes1 you're going in 2011,won't be the time we will be going :sad2:.
Yes i was gutted to not go to see MCHammer, but my girls safety means more to me.
'Once In A Lifetime',no it will be twice-when we go back they have already asked for lady dinosaurs for the boys they already have.I am already saving as there was double the choice available than for the boys :scared1:.x.

I knew it was going to be expensive, but i was'nt expecting over $200 :lmao:.
The Dino's were $18 each inc the roar, then they got a par of socks, brush, sunglasses, backpack, pants, safari hat,2 full outfits,3 T-shirts+2 pairs of footwear EACH,not just the clothes that they are dressed in,in the piccy.BUT still an expensive treat. But they do love them,as they are both Dino mad-they have never been interested in Build-A-Bear :confused3.x.

what another lovely day Michelle, Fab piccies especially the one of Emily her potato head :thumbsup2
She was very proud of her potato head, when we got home i was looking on ebay for some potato head WDW items and managed to get a bundle of 25 items for £6 inc p+p :thumbsup2(only 2 doubles).x.

What a lovely day :)

I'm absolutely loving your TR Michelle - it reminds me a lot of the trip I had with my family when my brother and I were about the age of Chloe and Emily, we have so many pics of me and Ross like the ones you've got of your girls and they are some of the best memories of my life :)

Shame you didnt get to see MC Hammer but seeing as Emily's feet were getting sleepyt was definitely a good shout :thumbsup2

Lunch with Wicksey sounded lovely, I'm definitely gonna try a steak there next trip :cool1: I might pass on the $226 dinosaurs though!

Whose dinosaur is the green one? that's my favourite one!

I know how much effort you put into planning this holiday and its so nice to see that it's all paying off for you and the family :)

I'm really looking forward to T-Rex it looks great.

:scared1: at the price of the Dino's, they are very lucky girls. I'm so glad my girls are older and just want to spend all their money on shoes and clothes

What a great day ~ I love DTD and could spend a whole day in World of Disney alone if Lee would let me. :lmao:

Are those Dinosaur clothes designer labelled? ;)

We had a great meal in TRex in December, I didn't have the steak though but think I may have to have that in September. ::yes:: Never had an ice cream from Ghiradelli's either....must fix that too.

Great pics looking forward to reading more. x

I am catching you up Craig-when's your next installment :rolleyes1 :goodvibes.x.

Great report so far, keep them coming ;)

You all sound like you had a great tie and loving the pictures :goodvibes

OMG :scared1:I didn't realize i might have to re-mortgage the house before we visit build a dino. My girls are so looking forward to doing that as well.

Holy smoke!

Sounds like you had an amazing day. fab piccies, love the one with the balloon in the background.

You certainly had a great day and one you won't forget in a hurry with the dinos. They are cute though. :cutie:

We went to Mardi Gras in Feb to see Neo. Absolute nightmare getting out. My kids are teenagers but once you started walking, it was impossible to stop. I'm surprised no-one got trampled. You definitely made the right decision with the girls being so small.

Really enjoying your reports. :)

What a fantastic day - T-Rex sounds fab I can't wait to go! Henry now really wants to build a dino after seeing you photos (and he is 26 :rotfl:!!!)

We love Ghiradelli's too - our favourite was the cookie dough sundae
