The Sea Witch Stole My Voice! Our Two Week Land and Sea Adventure! COMPLETE 4/12

Just a warning, if you have me on Facebook I am slowly posting all my trip photos so if you don't want the TR to be spoiled don't look! ;) On the other hand if you want an advance peek at what is to come well then go right ahead! :rotfl:

Oh my goodness, your photopass pictures are fantastic. It is so wonderful that you get to enjoy the magic with your Mom.

I loved the monrail shot!!

Your World Showcase pictures are amazing, truly beautiful, you do such a great job taking pictures :thumbsup2. I am so tempted to look at all your pics on facebook, but I want to see them as the trip report goes along.

Thanks! I debated about whether I should put my pictures up on facebook ahead of the TR as so many of you are on there but lots of my friends and co-workers have been asking to see them so I figured I would give fair warning here and then leave it up to you guys what you want to do. The pictures don't give everything away, I have tons of funny stories to tell that are completely independent of the photos.

It really is so pretty, and this is just teeny tiny part of it that we have seen so far.

Yes Lessa it was gorgeous !! When we all went in 2007 we were there for it too, but didn't really realise that Epcot didn't always look like that!!:rotfl2:Judy kept snapping pix of the Topiaries all week !! I think she'll be dissappointed it's not on in Sept !!

:rotfl: I have read about that happening to people whose first trip to Epcot is during the flower festival, they are disappointed when they see it "deflowered". ;)

Moving on from the Bambi pictures....

I'm not sure where exactly this was, Mom took the picture and it was in between the Canada and England photos so it had to be somewhere around there. It is very pretty though.

Now to England! This place was deserted! Canada had a few people milling about but there was hardly anybody to be seen here this early in the day.

Looking at this picture yesterday reminded me that I had to watch the last two episodes of The Tudors that I missed while on vacation! That is the bad thing about traveling in May, you miss all the season finales!

Having taken all the pictures we wanted of England for the moment it was finally time to make our way through the International Gateway and over to the Beach Club.

D2108.jpg

D2109.jpg

I spotted the Segway Tour making it's way across the bridge.

D2110.jpg

Arriving at the Beach Club we admired the grounds and pool, such a pretty laid-back resort.

D2116.jpg

We meandered our way over to Beaches and Cream and actually got there a few minutes before they opened for lunch. There was only one other group waiting to be seated.

We took a seat at an outdoor table and waited for them to open. I took the opportunity to moan and complain about my feet. The flip flops I had chosen to wear that day were a big mistake, a mistake I would come to majorly regret! They had absolutely no cushioning at all and my feet were killing me. I figured I could soldier on through the day and I just wouldn't wear them again to the parks. I wonder if I would tough it out or if I would allow the pain to dictate my actions? :scratchin

After I had complained to Mom for a few minutes the hostess came out and opened the restaurant. She seated us first and gave us the option of booth, table or counter. We of course chose booth!

I didn't really need to look at the menu as I already knew what I was going to be ordering that day. I looked it over though just in case I saw something that would spark my interest. I decided to stick with my original decision though.

It didn't take too long for the food to come out.

Mom's lunch - Roast Beef Sub - Grilled Roast Beef with Au Jus and topped with Provolone Cheese, Grilled Onions, and Peppers

D2120.jpg

My lunch - Cheeseburger as you can easily see ;)

D2121.jpg

The cheeseburgers are delicious and they are only about $1.50 more expensive than what you would pay for a counter-service burger. Definitely the best value in my opinion as it is far tastier than a counter service burger and much more filling.

The waitress saw me taking pictures of our food and asked if we would like a picture of us together so of course we said we would!

D2119.jpg

Our lunch was delicious but of course the main reason I came here to eat that day was for the dessert!

Mom didn't want to order an ice cream dish so she ordered "Mom's Chocolate Cake". She may not have wanted ice cream but she got a scoop of it anyways with her cake!

D2122.jpg

I, of course, had to order the dessert I had been salivating over for the past two and a half years, the No Way Jose!

A brief aside from the trip report - When Mom and I had gotten back from the trip we hooked the camera up to the tv to show Alek and Erich all our pictures. When we got to the Beaches and Cream pictures all they could talk about was how the next time we go back to WDW they are going to order the Kitchen Sink again, no lunch, just the Kitchen Sink and they vow they are going to eat the whole thing themselves. Something to look forward to!

No Way Jose - A Peanut Butter and Hot Fudge Delight with Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Morsels, Whipped Cream and a Cherry

D2123.jpg

SO GOOD! Nothing goes together better than peanut butter and chocolate!

I dug into my sundae with relish, while eating one of the chocolate chips fell off my spoon and down my shirt. Awkward! Of course I was not about to reach down into my shirt to retrieve it in the middle of the restaurant. That would have been a show! :lmao: I figured it would be fine there for a few minutes as we were almost done eating and I would just go into the closest bathroom when we were done and retrieve it.

The sundae was delicious but I was so full that I just could not finish it. I made a good dent in it though.

The waitress had brought us our bill while we were eating our desserts so we were able to get up and leave once we had had our fill.

Oh my how I cringed in pain when I got back up onto my feet, those darn flip flops had sure done a number on me.

Oh my gosh! Your lunch at B&C looks DIVINE! We haven't had dinner yet, and I'm getting quite hungry, so the steak sandwich and burger look really good! And that chocolate cake! And the No Way Jose (I had this when we went there, too)! Can you tell I'm hungry?

BTW, DH says you should have gone for the chocolate chip! :rotfl:

Your photopass pics are so cute! Definitely worth the wait!

OMG, your Beaches and Cream photos have me drooling. You ordered exactly what I would order... cheeseburger, fries and a No Way Jose! I haven't actually tried B&C yet, but it's at the top of my list for my next trip. And I have my meal already picked out as you can see, lol.

we're definitely going to have to go there next trip! I too have been wanting to try a no way jose! How was the chocolate cake?? I love a good chocolate cake too though!

 Beaches and Cream is one of my fav Disney restaurants. I find that the prices are decent, the food is excellent, the restaurant is comfortable and the decor is pleasant and if you plan your timing right it should not be crowded. All the reasons why I love it!

Definitely make sure you go! I really regret not eating there on our first trip as we missed out! Last year I fell in love and I think I will probably eat there every time I go back now.

I didn't have a taste of it, I think I remember Mom saying it was a very rich cake. I'm sure she will chime it at some point and answer you on that account. :goodvibes

Mmmmmm, Beaches and Cream! I LOVE Beaches and Cream.:lovestruc

I can't believe how empty the WS looks!:scared1: That must've been so nice.

I love all your England pictures. I think it's one of my favourite pavilions.:goodvibes

It is nice having WS to yourself. If only you could explore the other countries before it officially opened. They have WS roped off at the bridge between England and France and I assume the same is true on the other side between Norway and China.

You should definitely try B&C Rosie, so yummy!

I can't believe how empty England was - Wow! It must have been so peaceful!

Did you get the chocolate chip out:confused3 That is so something that would happen to me:lmao:

Didn't that chip melt in a very uncomfortable place? :lmao:
I can't wait to try Beaches N Cream! That is exactly the lunch I have planned, Cheeseburger and a No Way Jose. But Mom and I are going to split the burger. I don't want to fill up on lunch with such a great dessert following.

It was actually kind of strange having England be so empty, you would think it was the Morocco pavilion! :lmao: I like Morocco but it always seems to be really empty. :confused3

Hmmm, the chip, that will come up in the next installment. ;)

Mom and I can very rarely split food as we have very different tastes. I am super picky and a very plain eater whereas she likes more exotic type foods and spices and such.

The PP pictures are great, but yours are better. :)

Sounds like a great day. We've not managed to go to any other resort yet, but B&C looks like it should be on our list.

Great installment, as always! :goodvibes

Oh that steak sammie was GOOD! I want one!!!!

it took me a few minutes to realize the pic of the spot with all the empty chairs was R&C! Awesome pics, I love it when it's empty!

Thanks CE, sometimes the PP are better and sometimes ours are better, that's why I like to have both! :goodvibes
