Anyone else got it?

Mine came yesterday and it's amazing! :)

Can't wait to hear what other people think! I looove the whole going to work with them thing.

But I am finding it takes way longer to build up relationships...

awh man. i really want this game. is it really good? how much did it cost you? i read somewhere it was like 30 quid.

Yeah it was £30/35.

I love it!!

Sadly my fiance is hogging it at the moment though!

DH's arrived yesterday. He has been really busy with work and hasn't had a chance to play it yet.

Got the iPhone version, sadly I don't think my computer will run the full one :(

:goodvibes

I was worried my Mac might lag a bit, as sometimes sims 2 got a bit slow.

But it works even better than sims 2!

My laptop would blow up if i tried to install it.

I really want this game so badly but it doesnt justify buying a new pc to play it....does it? :(

DS got it today
only got to design himself yet

Is the iphone version any good? DH has an itouch, and we have loads of credit on itunes at the moment, so I could get that one.

I've played this evening on our downloaded (legal!) copy.

I think it's a great updated version of them game! You will need a decent spec PC to run the game properly though, I don't think older PC's would cope with the capacity that's needed.

Creating your actual Sim was good fun, there's lots of different and new things this time around, different clothes, accessories, make up, shape of body/faces etc. Still simple to do though.

I've just spend goodness knows how many hours creating a mega mansion :lmao: I don't think there's enough items on the game to fill the house I've built! There's plenty new items too, one thing that I did find was, they've taken out a number of items from previous games, one I can think of off the top of my head now is the diving board for the outside pool, which was included on all previous games, so why remove it from this one? I don't understand why they've taken items away? :confused3

There's plenty more interaction and you're able to find out lots more about what your 'Sim' is thinking, what they want etc. I'm hopeful mine will learn skills quickly...she keeps burning her food! :rotfl2: They have made certain aspects harder to do, like interact with other Sims and keep Sims happy and content all the time, but I can see why, it'll make the game more challenging and realistic!

All in all, love it so far. I'll probably be back on there Sunday now to give it another go...maybe this time my lazy Sim will find herself a job :lmao:

it looks wonderful, but it's crash heavy and I've not really had a good go of it, I did get it for free tho ;)

I would like to get this but would need to upgrade my PC which isn't worth it at the moment as when I move out I will have another one built for me & my parents can keep mine.

I'm also wary as the last expansion pack for Sims 2 had a bug which is meant to be fixed by the patch & it never did so I can't play it:headache:

I think they've taken the diving board away because the sims just jump in from the edge of the pool now.

I am loving the Sims 3. I was a bit heisitant in buying it because I am still playing Sims 2, but I'm so glad I did, it's so good. I love the moodlets and the traits.

Eve's arrived, from Tesco, the day before the official launch date so she was over the moon ;)

It cost me £29.95 but we got £2.60, or so, back on Quidco:thumbsup2

Luckily she's been able to install it on the laptop as I don't think I'd get anywhere near the desk top for a while :rotfl:

I'm on Windows Vista, and according to the spec, you need 2.4GHZ processor. Sadly mine's only 2.0, so I assume it won't run :sad2:

A darn shame as I love The Sims, and I really wanted it.

I'm not sure if you can upgrade your processor - I've never heard of that.

You can upgrade the processor providing you don't have an integrated motherboard, if you do then you will have to upgrade the whole thing.

Also check you graphics card as the Sims only really run well on certain ones.

I was absolutely convinced Sims 3 wouldn't run on my laptop as I'm also on Vista and only have a 1.86Ghz processor and a fairly low quality graphics card but a friend offered to lend me his copy to try out and it works perfectly...well, perfectly once i'd spent several hours trying to figure out how to update my graphics card drivers. I'm a little on the computer illiterate side :rolleyes1

Give it a go, hopefully you'll be in for a nice surprise! :goodvibes
