Okay after a day of using the transportation here are my thoughts. EVen though I have a few issues with it, I am not sure what the best method of correction would be. (See below)

Bad stuff

While having to take two bus rides to get to the parks is a little of a nuisance, the greater nuisance is on the way home from the parks. The transfer point between buses is the Springs/Carriage House - The last stop. So you have to sit through all those other stops only to have to get off the bus and sit and wait on the second. To SSR's benefit, the Treehouse buses do seem to run often, it is really is just havin to sit until the last stop only to have to ride another bus.

Now I am not saying that the transfer needs to be another earlier stop. On the contrary, I really like having the stop there so you can run in and get a quart of milk or re-fill your mug before heading home. I just wished there was someway to stop there first. We have been working around this problem by getting off at Grandstand and walking to the Carriage house. This is not an easy task after a long day at the park.

Good Stuff

There is now a boat that will run you between the treehouse dock and the carriage house. Actually it is just an extention of the DTD route, It goes THV - SSR - DTD - SSR - THV. Our TH is not too far from the dock, so we pretty much use this mode of transpo to get to the main resort. I actually think it is quicker than the bus. I just wish it ran earlier in the am.

I don't think I am advocating another bus for just the THVs and possibly Grandstand. They will still need a bus to take people between the villas and the main resort. The additional resort buses needed to run a THV to Parks route, would just be added operating expense for the member of this resort that they will see in thier dues. (I am not one). Again, I don't think there is an easy answer to this issue, I just believe they need to do something.

Just my 2 cents.

Uggh!

Someone in a different thread said it was a 5 minute walk from THV to Grandstand bus stop. Have you tried that?

I read on another board the the THV bus actually does stop at the Grandstand, so when you return from a park, get off at Grandstand (first stop) then the THV bus will pick you up there. The THV loop bus stops at both THV stops, then the Springs, then the Grandstand. Any confirmation of this?

I have come b ack to update. My husband did see on one of the signs that after 11AM the Treehouse Villa bus does stop at Grandstand. We did this last night on the way home and it works much better. I just wish someone would have pointed this out at check-in. We would not have known this had we not walked to Grandstand that morning to catch the park bus.

So I guess, I have no really concerns about the resort.

Glad to read that the bus service is reasonable enough for THV. :thumbsup2 I really want to stay there next year but still don't want to hire a car when we're on vacation.

That would make sense since there is a path that will take you from the Grandstand section to THV.
