Iam dying to Take trent there and he would love it on the train, being a huge fan of trains.

That pizza place is gorgeous.

That is a riot abotu the lawn chairs

Was it hard for the boys the 10 block walk to pizza place? I have a feeling trent would whine about....hate to bring it, but maybe bring a stroller...:sad2:

That Toys R Us looks awesome. I so want to go there :woohoo:

Can't wait to hear more popcorn::

Wow, that pizza place looks amazing. I haven't been to NYC for 20 years. How lucky that you live close enough to take advantage of all that it has to offer.:thumbsup2 We feel that way about Chicago.:)

Loved your post and can't wait for more. SO jealous of your proximity to NYC, would love to get there sometime! The pizza place looked amazing. Had to smile when I saw the huge Rich Franklin UFC bulletin board, we are friends with Rich - he goes to our church : ) I'll have to show that to his wife.

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay in getting this posted, I had intended to do it last night but I was so tired and had so much to catch up on here at home!! OK onto part 2!!

So we left off in Toys R us, after the Lego's, we saw this giant dinosaur..

lifesize Star Wars Guys...which Eric loved!

Then Superman!

IMG_5756.jpg

After Toys R Us we headed back to.....M&M world!!! The boys each got a SMALL bag of candy this time!!

IMG_5766.jpg

They stood on this m&m plaque on the floor and it tested their color mood and what it meant! It was cute!

Here is Eric's...

IMG_5767.jpg

Then Matthew's...

IMG_5768.jpg

After M&M's we decide to head over to the theater as it was about an hour before showtime!!

IMG_5770.jpg

This is a sign they have out front...

IMG_5774.jpg

The boys and Grandma being silly!

IMG_5772.jpg

Then they let us in! The theater was gorgeous! Very old and beautiful!! Here are the kids waiting in the lounge area..

IMG_5776.jpg

We bought them drinks and then headed into the theater! Bryan wanted to get a Bud Light for the show but it was $10 for ONE BOTTLE OF BEER! So we skipped that!

Inside the theater you are not allowed to take video or pictures, but I took just a few!!

The show was AMAZING! We had the understudy playing Mary Poppins but you never would have known, she was INCREDIBLE!! The scenery and sets were outstanding and SO COLORFUL! The children who played Jane and Michael Banks were OUTSTANDING. I was so impressed with their ability to memorize their lines and their voices...HOLY COW they were AWESOME!! There are some very COOL features that I don't want to spoil for those of you planning to see it but my eyes just about POPPED out of my head!! The boys absolutely LOVED it and they were so well behaved...unlike the children in front of us!:rolleyes1 The mom was texting on her phone throughout the performance! SO RUDE and the kids kept getting up and talking! Finally my Mom said "excuse me, but your children are talking and my grandchildren can't hear or see" So the woman turned to her kids and said "shut up":scared1: The kids were good after that but I felt bad for them! Anyway, OVERALL it was PHENOMENAL! Go see it if you can it was terrific!!

After the play, we made our way back to Penn Station and headed home! Here is Eric reading his showbill....

IMG_5790.jpg

Once we got back into NJ we had to walk through this tunnel and the kids told me to take a picture because they thought it looked like inside Space Mountain!

What do you think? We had an awesome day! It made us even more excited for Disney which is getting closer and closer! thanks for reading!

Forgot to mention that the blocks between Penn Station and Time Square are pretty short for city blocks! It wasn't too bad! A stroller is a good idea though if you thought he might get tired! I don't know what the rule is about strollers in the stores though:confused3

Wow...that looks amazing! I might have to find a sitter for Ernie so we can take Amelia. :) I think she's ready to sit through something like this now.
