On the create your own treat...did they bring back the peanut butter cups as a topping? They eliminated it in March and gave me Butterfinger pieces instead but it isnt the same.....

Oh and thank you for suggesting Boma for breakfast! We absolutely loved it, it will be a must-do for every trip to come!

OH MAN - why every time I say I'm going to get "this" - they get rid of it. Yuck butterfingers are not the same !

Great! So glad you enjoyed it, I just love the food there! We are going to give Tusker House a try this weekend, people refer to it as Boma Lite so I hope we will enjoy it as much :thumbsup2

I know what you mean, I am getting so sick of them taking away all the good stuff!

To be honest, I was a little disappointed in Goofy's. They got rid of the boxes to pack the treats in...they only give you sacks that don't even seal. We stopped on the way out of town to use up our 14 snack credits to take home (from KS and we drove...24 hr trip). The CM said "sacks or boxes...it will travel the same". Well, the sacks kept sliding down the mountain of bags of snacks we had from there...we had oreo crumbs all over the place when we got home. I was not impressed.

Also, it took us over an hour to get 14 snacks made. Another person came in about 3 minutes after us and put in an order for 2 snacks. They didn't really complain...just asked after 45 minutes of waiting how much longer it was going to be. The same CM snapped at them and pretty much blamed the wait time on me, as we ordered 14 snacks and that backlogged them.

If I go back, it will be for 1 or 2 snacks at most...I can get better service at Main Street Bakery!

It was Butterfinger last week.

We were also disappointed that we weren't able to get the treats boxed up. We had remaining snack credits on our last day and so we made 5 treats to fetch back home to the UK. They didn't travel so well as they just put them on a paper plate and popped them into a bag and then closed it with a Mickey sticker. The boxes are much better.

They still taste great though and my boys thought it was excellent that they could have a huge Oreo cookie covered in milk chocolate, smothered in M&Ms and then dipped in caramel and white chocolate! It was like all their Christmases had come at once!

Does anyone know why the stopped the peanut butter cups? I don't know if I want to bother if they don't have them. Butter fingers are not even close to being the same. :sad2:

I asked a CM in May and she told me they replaced them with Reeses Pieces because they hold up better. Not the same but still pretty yummy!:goodvibes

We had peanut butter cups in late January and when we went back the first week of March the CM said they had just changed them to Butterfinger the 1st of March....I was so disappointed...they do not taste the same at all

I was there last week too - and sadly - no peanut butter cups. What a bummer! I ended up getting the peanut butter chips, but they weren't nearly as good. Hope they bring them back soon!

One of the reasons for removal could have been the FDA recall of PB. The biggest recalls were months ago, but the most recent was May 20th. Better safe then sorry. I am not saying this is what happened, it is just a possibility. PB is way to popular (and common) an item to simply replace without good cause.

Could be but they had peanut butter cups in the candy case, on the shelves, they had Reese's Pieces and Butterfinger pieces and that is all the same peanut butter....

I am keeping my fingers crossed that they have changed them back....hmmm maybe I will bring my own peanut butter cups and have them put them on the pretzels for me :rotfl:

I doubt very highly it is all the same PB. Each individual items formula (recipe) will be different from one to the next. I would venture an educated guess that most companies outsource the peanut butter portions and do not roast and grind themselves. Additionally each candy production plant may vary as to sources used. Having worked for two large (international) food companies, I can tell you the variables are as large as you can imagine. Also Butterfingers and Reeses Pieces are made by different companies. Nestles and Hershey respectively.

thanks for letting us know about the paper bags. I am dying to try this place and plan on bringing home some goodies. Now that i know I will bring my own containers if i need to. Im sorry but i hate to bring home any kind of candy in bags especially if you are traveling, much much better in boxes
