Wanted to know everyone's thoughts on Hollywood & Vine. Made an ADR for lunch in August for DH and I. Not sure if I should keep it. How is the food??

We've eaten there for dinner one time and it's like eating gross cafeteria food!

In my opinion, the lunch offerings at the other TS restaurants in DHS are better

Enjoy the MK View at BLT!!!! :goodvibes
I can't wait, we will be there in December:thumbsup2

Let's just say that Disney could NOT pay us to eat there again. We usually give every place two tries. We really wish we had learned our lesson from our first visit to H&V and NOT gone back.

We ate there once for the Fantasmic! package and it was fine, but wild horses can't keep me away from 50's PTC at lunch. I will probably eat at H&V sometime again, but not my choice at DHS.

It was our first WDW restaurant, and the worst ever. The food was fine, typical buffet fare, but the service was marginal and the manager was perhaps the rudest WDW employee I've ever encountered. So much so that it had me in guest services as soon as we got to the next park to complain about her.

That said, we'll be going back... because it's the only place with Leo... and my kid loves Leo too much not to go.

H & V is one of only 2 restaurants on WDW property we will not return to.
The hot food was cold, the cold food was warm the tables were unbussed and filthy, our waitress was RUDE, and the Ladies Room was filfthy.
Never Again

We've been to the Play n Dine at H+V a couple of times with our kids, but for our upcoming trip in Aug, we're doing dinner. We actually really enjoy the food there, have never had any problems with service or cleanliness at all, either. The reason we're switching to dinner is because our kids have kind of outgrown the characters that are there at lunch, and honestly, the kids just didn't want to be bothered with them!! If it's Mickey, bring him on!! But the Little Einsteins--my teenagers don't even know who they are! If you don't have kids with you who love these characters and all the sing a longs, you may want to consider dinner instead.

H&V was the worst meal I have ever had at WDW...and I am not a picky eater!!!

Not the best...we've gone there for the Fantasmic Pkg. as it's the cheapest option if you can get in...I would not go there otherwise. Although more $$ Mama Melrose is better IMO...

We did the very last breakfast seating and it was great! Not at all crwded and a lot of time with the characters. We'd do it again!

We had a really bad experience here with our waitress and the manager. But it is somewhere we will return too. I thought the food was fine...not fantastic but nothing wrong with it. But the main reason is the characters. Best character experience we had anywhere. My kids loved it. For just two adults though....I suppose your not looking for Playhouse Disney characters??????

It's just going to be DH and I. When I originally made this reservation I thought H&V only had characters for breakfast. If the food was really good I was going to keep it even though it was Disney Playhouse characters.

Thanks to everyone that posted!! At this point if the food is nothing to write home to Mom about I am canceling today. I wanted something in HS that we could really fill up on. I think we are just going to hop the friendship boat to Epcot and eat in the world showcase. I know I can't go wrong with that!:thumbsup2

Hopefully,

What is the other restaurant that you won't go back to? I'm very curious;)

We won't return to the Yachtsman Steakhouse either. We have tried it 3 times and it is just not for us. It is a beautiful restaurant with great service. But we felt the food was just not good.
