Wishes Do Come True!....a Birthday PTR

Con't

Let's move along to some choices for Madison.

100_0645.jpg

These shirts are definately coming with us. They will keep her comfy, cool and of course, fashionable!

100_0646.jpg

A few more options...I bought the green one before our Jan trip and my mom just bought the other three. These will probably be coming along too.

100_0647.jpg

I bought the pink one at the end of summer last year. I couldn't resist buying the flip flop tank last week at Old Navy. It's so hard to work there sometimes!!! I think she has about 6 or 8 tanks similar to that one but with all different prints.

Madison has TONS of shorts and capris for me to choose from. I always over pack, but I'd rather have more clothes than not enough. I like to have choices. What if I only pack 7 shirts for a 7 day trip and on that last day, I don't want to wear that last shirt? As far at Tony goes, he said he needs to buy some more shirts for this trip. He never buys anything for himself! So, for Father's Day, I'll probably buy him some lighter colored shirts for Disney and possibly anothe pair of cargo shorts (his favorite). So, that's my fashion update for all of you! I should be getting my Mickey Mail sometime this week. How exciting!!! I'll leave you with one last picture.

100_0640.jpg

Our Count-Up Calendar!!!!! :yay: The top line says "DISNEY HERE WE COME!" I used a pink marker for "COME" and you can't quite see it in the picture. Please don't laugh at my attempt at drawing. I'm not an artist AT ALL! I cannot take credit for this idea. I saw it in another PTR, but her's was much better (gotta give the credit to Emma- aka AGPrincess). Madison and I have so much fun putting Mickey head paint chips onto our large Mickey head every morning. I took this picture this morning so it's all updated. 28 days!!!

All of your clothes are SOO cute!!! You'll for sure be ready for the summer weather. :thumbsup2 I went in the summer one year, and it was hot, but it was actually cooler than what I was used to (I'm from OK). Tanks are a must though! Your dress for the wedding was very cute too. I love the green. YAY!! :yay: Disney shopping means Disney is SOOOO close!

where did you get all those shirts for you! Old navy? I wish I wasn't so broke but Old navy usually has good deals and sales!

I think the clothes choices are awesome, and I LOVE the count "Up" calendar! That is extremely clever, and a great use of the Mickey paint chips! I can't believe you cut all those out -- what a devoted Mama you are!

Maria :upsidedow

First you look beautiful for the wedding, love the dress and love your hair straight, too!! Love it curly but it looks really pretty straight! Glad you guy had a nice time at the wedding!!

Adorable tops!!!!!! They will be very cute and fashionable!!;) And I'm with you...I'd rather have too much packed than not enough, I know I could do wash there :laundy: but would rather have different tops to change into for dinner or whatever.

Thanks for sharing! And you did a nice job on your countup, what fun way to get ready for your trip....Emma's was beautiful, wasn't it? It's such a cute idea!!!:goodvibes

I love that dress you wore to the wedding! Your post makes me want to get shopping for some summer clothes so if DH gets upset I'm blaming you!

Which shirt is going to be your birthday shirt?

I also loved your pic of your count-up calendar! I can't wait to make ours for Jan. Not sure what kind though. Maybe a chain since mine are so young and it will be easier to "see" how close we are by the length. I'm not starting it until Christmas though. I think I started it waaay too early last year and the kids were bored with it until it got really close to the day we left.

Thanks! The majority of my Disney trips have been in the summer months. January was very nice and I've been once in March. It was hot! I know what I'm in for on this trip. Madison's first trip in 2006 was around the same time. I'm pretty sure we went from June 25th-July 2nd. We were melting!

where did you get all those shirts for you! Old navy? I wish I wasn't so broke but Old navy usually has good deals and sales!

The first two I've had for a few years. The tube top was bought at ON quite a few years ago and the yellow one I got at Kohl's 2 years ago. The next two are from Aeropostale and the last red one is from ON. Since I work at Old Navy, that's where the majority of my clothes are from (you can't beat the 25% off!).

Cutting out those Mickey heads was NOT fun! I had 60 of them and my hand was killing me. I had an imprint in my thumb from cutting them all out!

Oh my gosh, that dress you wore to the wedding is gorgeous on you!

Thank you! I loved the color and it was very comfortable too. It was in the low 80's here on Saturday, so it was the perfect dress.

First you look beautiful for the wedding, love the dress and love your hair straight, too!! Love it curly but it looks really pretty straight! Glad you guy had a nice time at the wedding!!

I do like straightening my hair every now and then. I wore it straight for all my games with my dance team this season.

I'm not doing laundry on this trip since it's such a short stay at Disney. I don't want to waste any time doing the wash! So, I'll just over pack as usual. I roll all of our clothes so they fit real nicely in the suitcases. You can also pack more that way! I was so worried about our luggage being over 50 lbs last time and we were WAY under! Our very large suitcase wasn't even 30 lbs. Now that I know that, I'll most likely be bringing more!

I adored Emma's Ariel count-up calendar! It was amazing. I'm definately NOT that talented!

I'll gladly take the blame! :rotfl: I'm the one who is always encouraging people to go shopping. It's one of my favorite things to do. Even Madison loves trying clothes on!

Which shirt is going to be your birthday shirt?

I really don't know yet! I love them all!

Thanks! I didn't want to take any Mickey heads down. Too depressing. I did think about a chain though. I loved doing those as a kid. But no, I went the long and hard way!!! Madison really does like putting on a Mickey head everyday. It kind of reminds me of Small World with all the different colors all together. Such unity!

Awesome PTR! Can't believe it took me this long to get here!!
First, you looked stunning for that wedding!
Second, great plans.
Third, Paige has one of those tanks that Madison has - the green paisley with purple straps! Wears it constantly!!
Fourth, my deepest sympathies on your grandfather's passing.
Fifth, good luck with getting a good ADR for your b-day!!

Hey Meghan I love how Madison's clothes totally coordinate with yours! Those tanks could be yours!

I also want to add that I work for the same bank as your DH. I know you mentioned before that he worked for a local bank but when I read your last update about the weekend plans I laughed and totally knew where he was! Small world!

I did some shopping at Old Navy too. (the new one on the BLVD) I got a bathing suit and a blue cover up skirt and white ruffled tank top. I love your pink one though :)

#1-Thanks so much!
#2-I think they're pretty great too! :goodvibes
#3-How cool! Maddie has never worn hers yet. I got it on the clearance rack at Target awhile back.
#4-Thank you. It was a hard couple of days last week.
5- I certainly need all the luck I can get!

You work for M&T?? How cool! If you don't want the whole Dis knowing where in the bank you work, PM me! I do love all of Madison's tanks. I have a tendency to dress her like me and I don't even know it! I work at the ON on the Blvd!!! How crazy! And I know exactly what clothes you're talking about. I know that store like the back of my hand! Next time you shop, look for me. I usually work Tue and Thurs from 9am-1pm, but this week I work Fri instead of Th.

Just don't rat me out to your DH about how much time I spend on the DIS at work! :rotfl:

I have off on Tuesday's so I might see you! You'll have to let me know when the good sales are! :)

I keep trying to call everyday for an Ohana' ADR with no luck yet. Man, this is annoying!

I would never rat out a fellow DISer!!! I'm always at ON on Tuesdays and I'm usually working in the Women's section. I'm part of the shipment crew so I'll be out on the floor opening up clothes.

I did it. I went shopping again today, but I only bought one thing. I just couldn't resist this adorable shirt (again, from Aeropostale).

Sorry if it's a little dark. It has Hawaiian looking flowers on it and it ties in the back. And guess what, it was on clearance and it was only $9!!! Awesome! I think it will be the perfect shirt to wear for our breakfast at Kona!! Yes, I'm really starting to think about which shirts go with which park/restaurant. I can't guarantee it will be like that for my entire trip, but I'll try my best!!

No Mickey Mail today. Total bummer. I hope that it comes soon!

27 days until my birthday!!!

:goodvibesJust read the whole PTR, minus the 1st epi which I read when you started it.

I'm so excited for you guys!!!! And a little jealous of the JetBlue flights. If we had JetBlue I would actually consider flying.

I love all of your tops and Madison's cute dresses. (And the flip flop tank! Totally something I would pick up for Belle.)

The Irish dancing sounds fabulous. I wonder if we have any in our area. Belle starts ballet in the fall. I cry everytime I think about it. Did you feel that way when Madison started dance class?

I was very emotional when Madison started dancing. It brought back so many memories of my first ballet class! I was so happy that she wanted to follow in my footsteps and take dance. She doesn't take ballet anymore (too much money to do ballet and Irish), but the Irish dancing is amazing. It still requires turnout, pointed feet and straight legs. Stuff I know all about!

I'm glad you like my recent purchases. I seem to be a buying machine lately (my DH isn't too happy about that!) and I just can't stop. I'm constantly thinking about Disney and what to wear while we're there. If I'm going to melt in the Florida sun, why not try to look cute too?

Those JetBlue flights were definately icing on the cake. We were already excited about the great deal we got for this trip, but that was just an extra dose of wonderfulness (I know, not a word)! :goodvibes I feel like I should be planning more for this trip, but everything is basically done! I know which parks I want to do each morning, and then in the evenings, we'll play it by ear (except for our dinner ADR's of course). I just can't wait!:yay:

I fell in love with it the moment I put it on (yes, I easily fall in love with clothes). It's super comfy, but a little sheer. So, I'll just throw a purple or pink tank under it and be good to go!

Let me go on a side note here about tank tops. I have an entire DRAWER of them in my dresser. Yes...side to side, top to bottom...filled with tanks. I decided to go through them the other day and I am getting rid of 22 tanks (giving them to Goodwill or Salvation Army). Well, I decided to count my remaining tanks. I have over 50 tank tops!!!!! Is that just ridiculous?! Let me say one thing. I wear a tank top 365 days year. I wear them under sweaters, layer them under tees, and sometimes I wear 2 tank tops at the same time. Tanks and flip flops are definately my friends. :goodvibes

HOLY COW! 50 tanks!!!!! I have about 5....lol!!! But your figure is much cuter than mine so you can get away with wearing them....lol!! Too funny....I have about 12 pairs of flip flops (stocked up last year on the $1 sale at ON!) and got 3 really nice pairs this year...Tevas and Fit Flops....so I'm with you there for sure!!!:cutie:

I know, I've gone a bit overboard on the tank tops. As far as flip flops go, I have two sets of black, white, pink, green, blue, yellow, orange, silver, bronze and white with all different color polka dots. I think that's 11 pairs. I also have a pair of Athens crocs flip flops. I haven't worn them yet, so I have no idea why I bought them! :rotfl: That's just how I am.
