Dragging a grumpy DH back to the World ~ Single Digits!!

Ok well I will post some pics later. Dave and Buster's is so much fun you need to go and have the experience at least once.

A Foam Party is well how can I explain it

Well basically it can be held in a back yard or a club and well little ones would call it bubbles you will see lots and lots of bubbles. The club I went to had the foam (bubble) machine in the ceiling and they would turn on the machines and well you basically get wet and soapy. It was fun and if you get tired of the soap they had another section where you can dance and it is dry.

Great ADR's:thumbsup2

Ok, now I HAVE to go to Dave and Busters. That sounds AWESOME!!!

Ha, thanks for educating me on a foam party. I swear, I may be just 26 but I feel like I'm 86! :rotfl:

Great PTR! I'm joining the pinoholics. DH & I just bought about 6 pins off ebay and have started a small collection. Just another way for Disney to get all our money. :rotfl: I also swore I'd never go to WDW in the summer but we couldn't pass up the free birthday admission. Can't wait to read more about your plans. :goodvibes

:welcome:

So glad to have a fellow pin addict on board!! Once you start, there is NO stopping. Seriously, it's crazy how addictive it becomes. What kind did you get on eBay? Do you guys collect certain ones?

Haha, isn't it funny how Disney can make you do things you swear you'll never do? Spending a birthday at Disney sounds like so much fun. We did that for my sister in October. She made t-shirts for us to wear and everything. :rotfl: It was her birthday week.

Btw, your little girl is so adorable!! My sister and two of my close friends are all expecting little girls this summer. It's making my baby fever unbearable!!

Awhh Thank You! Grace is awesome. She's such an easy child. I had baby fever bad for 3 years before getting pregnant and now that she's almost a toddler I hate to say it but it's back! lol Here's some of the pins we got. I'm really interested in the Chip & Dale Food ones.

BTW Dave & Buster's is awesome. We had our bachelor and bachelorette party there.
Love your camera. We have a brown Powershot.

LOL well it just means you don't get out much. It's ok I don't mind explaining the stuff.

Well glad you want to go to Dave and Buster's

I haven't even told you the best parts yet

Well I don't know what your interests are.

Some of the Dave and Busters have arcades, bowling, restaurants, billiard, and a bar. It is very cool because you will have a lot of entertainment. I even think they have big screen tv's to watch sports.

I'm so glad you went with a Canon Elph! I've been SO happy with mine, now we are camera buddies!:cool1:

WCC and Chef Mickey's are both so much fun... mmmm... I dream of the skillet somedays when I'm feeling particularly piggish.:rotfl: Anything that greasy HAS to be delicious, right?:rotfl2:

Whispering Canyon Cafe at 7:45pm

Friday, August 28

Chef Mickey's at 8:30am

I'm in the process of revising my itinerary. I'll hopefully post that later today.

Wooohooo for getting WCC dinner and CM breaky!!! Seriously, I cannot wait to try WCC (I think I might not tell dh and the boys about the server antics - but I think I will ask dh to get me some ketchup ). We really enjoyed CM breakfast last year (the only ADR we had :sad2:) - great character interaction (I danced with Pluto :cloud9:) and decent food - all good stuff :thumbsup2

HA! I love watching little kids play. Most of the kids on my nephews teams are way more interested in the bugs that are flying by. :rotfl: Sad, that I hate bad hot dogs. Wow...I sound like all I care about is food. Well, it's true...I do. :lmao: I would love to watch the ducks, too. That sounds like a lot of fun.

Well now, food is important! Plus, good food can be hard to come by sometimes!

The ducks and Canada geese were so cute with all their babies - I think I'll post a few pictures he took on the weekend of the duck/goose families on my PTR :goodvibes

I just got off the phone w/ Disney Dining. I was amazed how fast it was. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I was on hold for just about five minutes -- not bad! Unfortunately, I was wrong about getting into WCC. I wanted to do it on the first night (8/23) anytime after 6pm. Well, it was ALL booked. Bummer. The lady was very helpful (and patient) and we were able to find another day that worked. Oh...and at the last minute I decided I wanted to try Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Aaron LOVES breakfast food, so I figured we couldn't go wrong w/ this one. Plus, who doesn't dream about having breakfast w/ Mickey?? Here's what I made:

I really want to try WCC. Since we booked Tau's birthday party at goofy's we had to cut out a few meals. There is always next time right?

Chef mickey's is also one on my list. :cloud9:

Where do you guys usually make your ADR/s for?

Isn't that awesome? I couldn't believe it when he said each set was only $.50! I was so excited!! What pins did you get on eBay? I'm trying to stay away from there until after our trip. I spend WAY too much on there.

Usually we get reservations at all the same old places. :rotfl: My sister and I are kind of picky eaters so we've done the Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi a couple of times. In May we ate at Mama Melrose's which was good and of course WCC in December!

I ended up getting some of the hidden Mickey pins...those are the only kind I've gotten on ebay since I don't do a whole lot of trading. I'll have to take pictures and put them on my PTR. It kind of stunk because the seller (who I bought from before) sent me one of the wrong ones but she was really cool about it. So she sent me the one I did buy and I got to keep the other one. :thumbsup2

WOW...I have been a VERY BAD PTR writer. The last few weeks have been so busy and I don't even know where the time has went. CRAZY! I've neglected this, primarily b/c I've been busy at work...and lets face it, that's where all my prime DIS time takes place. Hmmm, I really hope no one from work is on here. :rolleyes1

Updates

I'm debating on whether I should go ahead and get a 6 day park hopper w/ no expiration on Undercover Tourist. My sister and I are planning a trip for December, so it'd probably be a good idea to go ahead and get it. Plus, DH already has a 6 day hopper and we could go to the PM EMH at MK the Sunday we arrive. Yeah, I think I might just go ahead and get that ticket. :thumbsup2

Clothing Update

I've been finding some really cute summer clothes for the trip. I'm going to take pictures this weekend and post. Can't wait to wear them down there!!

popcorn:: You went on a shopping spree can't wait

Well I think I share the same little secret as you most of the time I go when I am at work. :rolleyes1 but lets me like Dori and forget about it in 2 secs. LOL :rotfl2: (Crush said that in the talk we had in Feb. except he said little blue)

Love your camera. We have a brown Powershot.

Grace is just absolutely too cute!! And...I bet she'd love to be a big sister, so maybe it's time to give into that baby fever! :rotfl: Seriously, I have it so bad right now. It just seems that EVERYONE is pregnant but me -- even when I'm in a store or at a restaurant...pregnant women are EVERYWHERE!!!

Love your pins! I have that Soarin' one - the collection its in is really cute. That Figment was is really cool. Once you've had a taste of pin crack, you'll never be able to stop. Seriously...it's SO ADDICTIVE!!!

I love our Powershot so far, aren't they the best?

LOL well it just means you don't get out much. It's ok I don't mind explaining the stuff.

HA! I get out...just not to D&B. DH and I are the type that like to hang out w/ friends out our house. We play badminton and grill out. We're dorky like that!

I love, love, LOVE arcade games. Ski ball, air hockey, basketball games, etc... we love all that type of stuff. Bowling and pool sound fun too. Now I definitely have to check this place out!

I'm so glad you went with a Canon Elph! I've been SO happy with mine, now we are camera buddies!:cool1:

Yay, camera buddies! :thumbsup2 I just love how your pictures look on your TR, so I'm really excited to see how mine turn out during this trip.

Mmm...that skillet looks so good! I don't even want to think of how many calories it is, though. :rolleyes1 Wait, I forgot...calories don't count at WDW. Phew! And I totally agree, the greasier the better! That's why fair food is so good. :lmao:

Yeah, I can't wait to see how DH reacts to WCC. I'll definitely be asking for ketchup and I know DH will get a huge jug of Diet Coke (he always asks for TONS of refills). I can't wait!!!

We've never done CM before. In fact, I've never actually been inside the Contemporary. Crazy, eh? I can't wait. I think we'll tour the monorail resorts after breakfast.

That is so true!! I'm just hoping that WCC and CM don't disappoint. In fact, I'm really hoping they help woo DH and convince him he's in love w/ all things WDW. :rotfl:

Exactly! I think he'll have such a good time at Goofy's for his birthday. I know I would!

Ooh, I love Prime Time. It's one of the few in park TS I have eaten at. Love their pot roast! Did you guys like WCC?

That stinks they sent you the wrong one, but sounds like you got the better end of the deal. Nice she let you keep the other one.

Can't wait to see what clothes you got! popcorn::

I'm also going shopping tomorrow. Seriously...I need to just hide my debit card until August. I'm bad!

popcorn:: You went on a shopping spree can't wait

We loved WCC! It was a lot of fun and the food was pretty good too. Be prepared for very large portions (though it seems that's how it goes at most of the restaurants!).

I don't know what it is, but I've been seriously lacking on DIS time. I know, shame on me!! :sad2: I'm planning to take some pictures of all the summery clothes I've got for our trip (very cute stuff...at least, I think so). I didn't have a chance to go shopping last weekend. I came down w/ this horrible cold that was being passed around my office. BOO!! I'm feeling good now, and plan to do some serious shopping this weekend...woo hoo!

Also, yesterday was our third wedding anniversary!! I can't believe we've been married that long. It sure doesn't seem like it. We already exchanged gifts a few weeks ago. Aaron got me a new car stereo that has a USB port to play/charge my iPod. I LOVE IT!!!

I got Aaron a new computer monitor.

We were going to go up to Indianapolis, and have dinner at Carrabba's. Right as we were getting ready to leave, something told me to check my tires. Well, low and behold, I had a HUGE nail/screw jammed into the back right tire. UGH, figures! The tire isn't flat, but we didn't think it was smart to drive it up to Indy. We thought about taking Aaron's car, but he's about to go in to get new brakes, so...yeah, not a good idea either. We wound up going to Red Lobster here in town. We decided we'll go to Carrabba's on Sunday.

On to trip news...

I just happened to check Travelocity for car rental rates, and stumbled upon a pretty good find. I reserved a compact car for $161.84 through Enterprise. That was about $23 less than the Trifty one I found last month! :woohoo: That's $23 more I'll have to spend on pins!!!!! The even better news -- it's onsite, so we don't have to lug all our stuff on the rental car shuttle.

:cool1::banana::dance3: Oh that is great news. I am very happy for your car rental and that you are feeling better. :dance3::hug:

Wooohoooo for saving more moolah to spend at WDW! Gotta like that :woohoo:

I can't wait to see your new clothes!:cool1:

Congrats on the rental car savings. I really wish our car was onsite... unfortunately we'll be lugging all our stuff onto a shuttle. Blegh. I am going to miss Magical Express when we first get there!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!:dance3::woohoo::yay::cool1:
