I'm having a bad morning.:headache:

I have been pricing up WDW and ergh its so expensive, i was hoping maybe i could afford a early 2011 trip but unless i win the lottery not going to happen.

I have more chance winning Britain's got Talent then going WDW right now.:sad2:

Sorry i just wanted a outlet to vent without my family thinking i need pyschiatric intervention.:lmao:

Sorry to hear you are having a bad morning Emma, I have to say we really have to cut back on spending to afford a WDW trip and i think we will be paying off this years tri when we get back !

I think you do a lot with Kyra and Wdw although nice just isnt that important

Thanks Nat, I mean we have been DLP a lot of times and that has probably made me near bankrupt :lmao:

I'm hoping we can get to WDW before she is at least 10, gives me about 8 years to save lol.

I think we all have days where we get down because of not having a trip booked, but sometimes we all have to be "practical" (boring!!!) and accept that we can't go right now!! I am speaking from experience!LOL! You will get there one day, just keep saving!

But saving is boring :lmao:

Better than being in debt for the sake of a fortnight in WDW.

Seriously, we had our first trip in 1998 when we inherited some money - we did think for 2 minutes that it would be better spent on the house but we didn't think we'd get another chance for a "once in a lifetime" trip.

Almost as soon as we were back I was looking for a job to pay for future holidays. I've now got a job I love at the local primary school.

We still can't save enough to go every year but it's a good feeling not to have any debts when we get home.

Good luck with the saving. :wizard: You know you'll get there in the end.

I wouldn't ever get a CC etc or a loan to pay for a Disney trip, i have managed to pay all my DLRP trips outright (god knows how).

I'm just the worlds worst saver and a obessive complusive buyer :lmao:

that sounds familiar :goodvibes

I'm sorry you're having a bad day but I'm sure you will make your trip happen, you seem to be very determined :) and Kyra certainly isn't missing out as she's having so much fun with your trips to DLP in the meantime.

Big hugs

I know exactly how you feel, Emma. I've worked out that we can go in 2012, but that is without any other Disney fixes in between.:scared1: It seems such a long time to wait. I also worry that by the time we can afford to book , the 42% offer will have ended and we will miss out on staying at OKW - which is where I have set my heart on.

I am like a big kid - I want to go NOW!!!

It doesn't help that my eldest two keep asking when we can go back to DLRP. My middle DD even offered to pay for us to go out of her savings. princess:

It is an expensive holiday and to be honest when we have kids I doubt we'll be able to visit the US every year. We're both working full-time at the moment and our living costs aren't too bad so with a fair bit of saving we can afford it. We do cut back on some things but not so much that we're living on a shoestring when we're not on holiday. I used to be terrible for buying everything I saw and wanted etc but not so much now. I find putting the holiday money in my savings immediately when I get paid means I don't see it as more disposable income to spend on clothes etc :)
I'm sure you and Kyra will get there... If you've managed to visit DLP several times then I reckon a WDW trip won't be impossible :wizard: :goodvibes

I wouldnt mind staying at Port Orleans but its like £400 cheaper to stay in Pop.

Seriously all i have done today is number crunch.

Here is hoping i can hold off from booking anymire DLP trips for 3 years :rotfl:

The reason I want to stay in OKW is because there will be 6 of us. I like the idea of having rooms, so that we can get away from each other. ;)If it was going to be 4 of us, I would go for POR or Pop. My wish list keeps growing and it's getting steadily more expensive. I'm thinking that this will be a 'once-in-a-lifetime' trip, so I might as well go for it!

I know I can't go any sooner but I am thinking about a sneaky trip to DLRP in January. Put it this way, I'll be number crunching as soon as they release those dates on the website.:lmao:

I do know how you feel Emma trust me! easy to say when I have a trip booked right?:cool1: But in truth i am pulling out all the stops to take this one and if I was trying to take the kids forget about it, I know they are desperate to go back..well two of them are:lmao: But when you sit down and do the math it seems like a mountain too far. All I can suggest is look at indirect flights, its not as scary as you think honestly and with just kyra i reckon you would manage. For example this week in august I am doing virgin wanted £1009 to fly us. I grabbed united indirect flights for £316. then I booked pop through the us with the free dining which saved me about £300 or £150 each.
A trip to wdw isnt the be all and end all but if you really want it then maybe work out what you are spending per trip to DLP, then dont book it;) When i have saved my first £2000 then i will be booking me and the kids. for £2000 that is a whole trip for you and Kyra. oh yeah..and shhh i didnt say this out loud...go in term time. krya will still be small enough that it will be ok and wont do permamant damage. I pulled cara out last when she was 6 for a week. i wouldnt do it now she is 9 and dean is 7. Its amazing how cheap the flights can be then. Dont do package, do separate.
wishing you lots of pixiedust that you get there. i have a good feeling that you will babe xxxx

You will get there Emma i used to take jack to DLP and then realised that it really didn't cost all that more for 14 days in florida at pop than it was staying in the disneyland paris hotel so i booked.
Also i did look at going June next year and the prices are much higher than we last went:scared1:thought i was gonna have to live on a shoestring to get there and even stay off site but then i showed my close friend the quote and she has now said she will come along which has halved the quote that i got from the travel agent:lovestruc
Do youi have the option of doing this???? This has made it a lot more accessable to go and i am not longer dreading it.
Plus side is booking this early i am already saving i also have a smashable money box which i can't dip into and have opened up a new bank account just for my savings i'm just being strict with myself now and not impulse buying as much as i did.

I was going to go with my parents but they want 2 rooms so it wouldnt work out cheaper for me. Plus none of my friends here have kids and hate Disney so thats out the window.

I need one of the money boxes, and i did open a saving account a few months ago and all i have saved is £1.
