The first ride...

What is the first ride you rush to the minute you get into the park? That one that you just can't wait for FP time?

Right now, oddly, I have this incredible urge to sprint to HM. I don't know why, I usually want to rush to Space Mtn or IJ. But I think this time it will be HM for my first ride. I have 5 days though so each ride can take it's turn.

Then you should go straight to HM and ride it! It varies with us but we go so much it isn't so much a rush anymore. lol I don't know what we will tomorrow, probably get some FPs first and maybe go to DCA for a while. Depends on what time we get there really.

I think when we go in august, we will do HM first, or at least in the top 3. the last time we were in DL in sept 2007, it was down to get the holiday overlay.

yeah, I always used to go to POTC first. I don't go that often and I always remember the very first ride I ride and the very last. Last time we went for one day, we rode Space first, and then IJ.

I have never been on that! But that's interesting, while everyone is rushing off to SP, HM, or IJ, you're running to the carousel.

Hmmm.....that is tough. Well, if I am going into DCA when it opens, then I am definitely sprinting right to TSMM. That is a must for me. If we have an early entry to DL, then of course, we make a break for Fantasyland and, last December, I must admit that we bolted for IASW Holiday because I feared the lines would be CRAZY if we didn't get on that first thing!! Otherwise, if it is a regular day at DL with no early entry, then it varies! Sometimes we head straight to POTC or Haunted Mansion Holiday (when that is up and running). Sometimes we go straight to Buzz Lightyear. Sometimes we leisurely stroll and take PhotoPass pictures and then just hit the rides as we stumble upon them, with no particular urgency.

Haha, I always have an urge. When I went with my family one year my brother and I actually ran to each ride. We were wiped out by 12! How often do you go, since you live in LA?

My sister and I went to HMH first on New Years Day and that was fun. I don't think I've ever done that one first but it was nice because there were only 2 other families in the elevator with us so I felt like I could see everything better and we weren't crammed together. When we got off we could take our time walking down the hallway instead of feeling like we had to move along with the crowd. Then when we got on the doombuggy it was like we were on the ride by ourselves since the other families were way ahead of us and the people from the next elevator hadn't arrived yet.

We usually go to Space first, then get a FP for it, then ride Buzz. Last summer our boys took off to Splash first thing and rode it 5 times in row.

Over the holidays we went first to HMH because we had never seen it before. We then went straight to the IASW holiday version.

This next trip is different. Our first day we won't get there until afternoon so we decided to go to Toy Story no matter what the line is. Although I guess we should get a FP for Soarin or Screamin on the way.

That's too funny! Sorry, hope I didn't ruin the illusion. I didn't even think about people not realizing it was an elevator! Oh, I mean, er.....no, it's not an elevator......the room is actually stretching! Actually, the reason you have to go down in the elevator is because you have to go under the train tracks which is what you do when you walk through the hallway with the paintings.
