Old thread, but I'm here. :) I'm not "from" here though KWIM? BUT I do LOVE it!!! We'd stay forever if we could afford it and if family wasn't so far. And I'd pick Big Island I think...LOL..

Count me in too!
We are planning a family trip July 23-August 1. Staying at Hojo.

This site has a wealth of information!!! I love it!

Though I would share. a bidget tip that only folks from HI would understand....we are thinking of taking a small 3 cup rice cooker, rice, nori and spam. Figured we can cook the spam in the micro!

Originally from the Big Island, but now living in Waipahu, Oahu. Planning our August 17-29 trip. Will be at Paradise Pier for 5 days, and 7 days at the Anaheim Desert Inn. Thank you for all the great tips from everyone on this board. Aloha!

Another from HI checking in. Currently planning for this October during the public school fall break.

My sisters and I will be there from August 20-25. I hope it's not too hot and muggy!

Great idea! I didn't think of that.

Spam in the micro is actually not that bad :) Gets it nice and crispy. Another option with your rice is to buy that mix you put inside and then cook, it's got nori and all kinds of yummy stuff. At least the nori won't go stale there.
