I don't know if I can start packing yet. I really don't want my suitcases all over our office. Our cats will lay all over everything! I'm such a last minute packer! I'll probably pack a few days before we go. I saved our packing list from our last trip and just updated it today.

Congrats on being paid in full! DW and I have 15 more days until we'll be as well and just like you said, it really doesn't feel real until you've finished paying for all of it. Looking forward to reading more!

I'm thrilled that we're going twice in one year. That has never happened before!!!

Sorry I've been neglectful lately. I was in Syracuse (where I spent the first 13 years of my life) on Saturday visiting my grandfather. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few months ago and he's now in a nursing home. The doctors told him on Friday that there is nothing left for them to do. He's kind of given up hope and it's very sad. Anyways...time for happier things!

ADR's

Hey everyone. I'm back and here to report on my ADR's. Let me start out by saying that having only 60 days to plan is pretty difficult! Everyone that is going to WDW on our same dates had a 30 day jump start on me! So, here are the places that I really wanted to eat at:

LeCellier
Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace
Sci-Fi

I knew upon dialing Disney dining I was going to have some trouble, but I had no idea there would be NO availability! I was just shocked! I knew I had picked the most popular places, but I thought I would be able to get SOMETHING! Well, we did get one of them, but not at a great time. So, I sat down and made a list of other places we could try:

Tusker House
Rose and Crown
Tutto Italia
Kona Cafe
Cape May Cafe

I've never been to any of the above (I've eaten at the old Italy restaurant, Alfredo's) but I'm all for trying new things. I still couldn't get everything, but here are our ADR's (for now):

June 25th - Kona Cafe 10:15am
June 26th - Rose and Crown 4:45pm
June 27th - Sci Fi 3:40pm
June 28th - Cape May Cafe 9:40am

I'm pretty happy with my ADR's, but I'm very bummed that I can't find somewhere to eat dinner on my birthday! I'm determined, so I'm going to keep calling every now and then to check for cancellations. I still REALLY want LeCellier (I've heard so many good things about it!) or Chef Mickey's (we'll take breakfast or dinner). If nothing opens up, I'll be sure to check at my hotel to see if they can do anything. I also don't mind walking by the restaurant and checking for any openings.

So, I guess that's all I have to say about my ADR's! I'll be sure to keep you all posted with any changes!

Wow, I can;t beleive it's so hard to get them. Last year we booked 13 days before we left and I had no problems, but I didn't try for CM's or LC's. LOL! I hope you can get something for your b-day. Is it completely booked everywhere on that day? (I'm sorry I can't remember which day it is exactly) Sometimes you can ask at the desk of your hotel (concierge) each morning and they can get you in too.

Well, if anything, atleast now you have a chance to try new things! Maybe one of the ones you try will be your new favorite! Rose & crown has always been very good, at least to me. Some ideas for b-day dinner (these are just places that I always enjoy):

Ohana's at the Poly
Any boardwalk restaurant
Japan's hibachi grill
Jiko or Boma at AKL

If anything, see if you can ask for some places that aren't booked up! good luck!

My birthday is the 24th (a Wednesday). I haven't checked every restaurant for that day, just places I'd like to eat at. If I don't run across any cancellations, I'll definately be asking the concierge!!!

Of my definate ADR's, I've only ever eaten at Sci-Fi, so I am trying new things! I've heard wonderful things about R&C, so I'm pretty excited. I've never eaten at LeCellier, so that's why I'm trying to hard to get in there!

I'm pretty satisfied with what we have. I'm really looking forward to checking out the Poly and BC while we're eating there. The BC is my dream resort!!!!

Maddie looks just like you, and her smile was absolutely adorable in all of your pictures from the winter!! You could tell she was just on cloud 9 the whole time! I have read on some trip reports that Teppon Edo at Epcot actually has better steak than Le Cellier, so maybe give that a look at?

There was some availability there but my heart is set on LeCellier! It's more about the cheddar cheese soup, pretzel bread and the desserts!!!!!

I hear you on the soup, pretzel bread and desserts! It's the main reason we go to Le Cellier too! We had similar trouble booking a ressie there but I finally got a lunch booking. Not as good as supper but I'm just happy we've got one. I hope you have some luck with a cancellation!
