Steph: that makes more sense, but now I have more questions if you have time and are allowed to answer. some of these are things I've always wanted to know (I know--I'm weird).

What is noncommissioned versus enlisted?

Do you have engineering training to do your job? Or do you oversee engineers? I've recently become more interested because my BFF is a pilot and she and her boyfriend have recently started an aviation fastener company. Not that I will ever fly in a small plane. No way--no how.

How's your face feeling? I hope you're doing better. Looks like you all had a great time.

Noncommissioned is enlisted, I'm just the one in charge (see there's the word I don't like ) of the rest of the enlisted. The main reason is that I outrank them, the secondary reason is that I have the most experience (of the enlisted members) in this job.

I don't have engineering training but I have been trained on avionics systems for multiple aircraft. I have worked flight controls, navigation, communication, Radar, etc. In my current job I do work with engineers. As funny as it sounds, engineers (stereotypically speaking now) tend to see their part of the aircraft (ie what they've designed, work one, etc). When I work with them it's my one of office's jobs to explain how the systems integrate and don't just operate alone.

Now that I've bored you all to tears; I'll tell you that I hate to fly.... The worst thing is when they tell me that my plane is being delayed to maintenance. I just want them to say the plane is delayed...I do not want to know it's maintenance.


Oh and is it February yet!!!!! I'm ready to go....

According to my DD-almost 14, the baby gets a lifetime pass to DL. But I think someone else on here said that was just a rumor. But she is bound and determined to do it, just to make sure!

I love sending him txts asking him how the privates are, or is he playing with his privates today.

I am also in the market for an iPhone. Heard there was going to be a new one coming out but still not sure I am going to wait. Do you think they will be in high demand? I am not standing in long lines for it. But it looks like it will be June when I get one anyway so we shall see

Becci and Deb, we are not positive what the new iphone will bring but this is today's best guess. A Chinese website had some clues, so we're not 100% sure this is it, but you can read about it below. Definitely you should wait to buy yours if you can because it's better to get the latest version. I don't think you'll have any problem getting it, it's not going to be like when the very first one came out.

"- 600MHz CPU Speed (up from 400MHz)
- 256MB RAM (up from 128MB)
- Digital Compass and FM
- 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus
- 32GB size
- No major changes in battery, screen and external casing.

As far as we can tell, the original poster has no track record for accurate information, though the Chinese web/forums have been a common source of early photos of recent Apple releases including the unibody MacBook and MacBook Pro casings.

At this point, we're posting it for interest alone, though the information seems believable. It's certainly expected for the next iPhone to contain a digital compass and better camera. Increases in processor speed and RAM are also feasible. "

Hi Linda! Loved the photos of you and Bree. She is so photogenic, just beautiful.

That iPhone was Jen's, even though I snapped it. So we have to wait for her to return. It was very dark in there, so I hope it looks okay.

You are so welcome. It's fun to give to people who are so appreciative. I really enjoyed talking to everyone there -- the time just flew! And for those who wondered, I did not have to pay for parking....

That's hilarious...The Air Force has Airmen. Never really thought about the Privates things...way better than the Navy though, the lower ranking enlisted are called Seaman....
