*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

And yeah....I turn my back to take care of school and work, and a whole new thread pops up. Damn!

Ok, as promised, here are a few pix of the Sweet Sunday event Cheryl, Doris, Brianne, DH(Chris) & I attended yesterday.

Here are the first two desserts served. The third one (ice cream sundae) was the best, but by that time I had had 4 glasses of champagne (BTW they are small flutes) and taking pix was not on my mind:rolleyes1

And finally, the last thing we saw for the day as we checked out.:rotfl:

Now there is one for the wallet. ;)

I was picturing it more as a dart board embellishment. ;)

Seriously, Linda, you should have stuck around to see what famous person he was waiting there to accompany through the parks. You know he is requested by all the mucky mucks, cuz he's just the bestest ever! :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 That's my kinda diner party! ;) I'm a photographer so by that time I'm taking TONS of pictures but I have the hiccups from the champagne bubbles so none of them look very good :lmao:

Ok, so now you gotta share what brand of candle it is and where I can get one! Although, I'm sure it will just make me crave ice cream if I burn it.

It's an Essenza Home Fragrance Candle (vanilla bean) and I got it at Costco in a package of 4 Essenza candles with different scents. Of course this one is my favorite. You know that smell they pump out of Gibson Girl as you walk by? That's how this candle smells......and I mean exactly the same. My hubby and I were just talking about how much it smells like the icecream shop on Main Street just a few days ago. It's a little piece of Disney that I can enjoy when I'm not in the parks. It does tend to make me crave icecream though.

I don't have a Facebook. :(

Am I out of the loop or what?

I don't have a Facebook account thingy or whatever you call it either.

Yeah, and I know where I'd put the bullseye. :rolleyes1

He is the bestest ever, and he's just so humble about it too.

I can't believe that between the time I checked this morning and now that y'all have not only started a new thread, but that you are also 6 days in already!

Hope that it's been a good day!

No truer words have been spoken!:lmao:

I just find it so funny that of all the CM plaids at DL, we seem to run into him (waiting or looking for "his" bigwig) everytime we are in the parks!

And yes Capri, Bree is tan, she started at the tanning booth to prepare for Palm Springs over Spring Break and now gets sun whenever she can to keep the glow. And yes, I have lectured her about sun damage, but I did it too up until about 5 years ago, so I know how it is.:guilty: And TWINS? Of course we are, except the thirty pound & twenty five year age difference!

Ok, we need 17-18 pages a day to get to 250 in two weeks. GO!
:scared1: :faint:

I was thinking that a group of us Washingtonians, plus our Canuck friend, should all meet up at Wild Waves/Enchanted Village. They have good deals all the time (but we have Annual Passes), so it wouldn't be too bad, or you can get group pricing with 12 tickets or more, ordered 2 weeks in advance for $20 each. What do you all think of that idea? We love to spend the day there, and it is pretty good for a wide range of ages, and hey, they have a beer garden too!
Don't forget about us Oregonians! I'm up for it, or down for it, or dialed in, whatever. :hippie:

Ok ladies. Its coming down to the wire now. Who's gonna take one for the team and have the DIVA baby in time for the trip? Come on. Look at the ticker, time is running out. Speak up and be heard. Come on, you know you wannna.

Hi Beth - I will be your friend. :goodvibes I am on FB but not too active.
YAY! PM me your name on FB so I can do a search for ya.

They are driving up to Seattle and then going on a 7 day Alaskan Cruise.
OMG, I am so jealous of them! I want to do just that.

I don't have a Facebook. :(
No, not at all. But it's easy and free and there are many of us on there if you want to join. :)

Hi All!!!

Thank you all for the kind words. :grouphug:
You deserve it! :worship:

You know he is requested by all the mucky mucks, cuz he's just the bestest ever! :rolleyes1:rotfl2:
:rotfl2:

:lmao:
That would be awesome if y'all could get a meet together.

And if they time it right, they can have it at Disney! What happens if you go into labor in the parks?

Linda, thanks for posting those pics. It looks like it was a lovely day. And Brianne is so pretty. :flower3:

:scared1:

That reminds me of a grocery store chain we have out here called Fresh and Easy. :rotfl:
Hey--how'd ya know my nickname?????

Shoot, I'll join you! Unless you don't want anyone to interrupt time with you and the elephant!
Ok--I hate to admit this--but . . ... . what elephant?

Not really. Hard to explain more like a warehouse kind of setup but not a Costco...no frills, displays just shelves of food in boxes and the prices are a bit lower than like a Pavillions. They also have limited brands and products. Hope that helps at all? :confused3
Fresh and Easy is a chain store that is owned by a big English grocery company. They came into soCal (and maybe some other areas) a couple of years ago hoping to become the "next big thing." so far, they haven't been. I have one up the street and have never been in it. I guess I should go and check it out.

OK. I read this as ice cream MEAT! I had to go back and read it twice before I figured out it was a meet!:rotfl2: I was really worried about you for a minute!
No silly--it wouldn't be meat because Beth doesn't like to handle raw meat! Only cooked meat--and that wouldn't go with ice cream!

I don't have a Facebook. :(

Am I out of the loop or what?

I seriously want ice cream now. And cupcakes.

We should drag Laurie and Beth to Gibson Girl and MAKE them stand and line and get ice cream.
I think we should make them stand in line and order for "ALL" of us while we stand back and giggle.

Hi All!!!

Thank you all for the kind words. :grouphug:

I know someone on the previous thread (I tried to find the post ) had asked what this "Tech. Sgt. Stephanie Brennan, 412th Logistics Test Squadron F-22 Raptor logistics test and evaluation noncommissioned officer in charge" means? So here goes my rank is Technical (Tech for short) Sergeant. I am assigned to the 412th Logistics Test Squadron. This squadron looks at the latest in aircraft systems while in a developmental stage. We get to see the systems before the rest of the Air Force by doing so we're able to fix any problems that we find before the systems are released to the Air Force as a whole. Specifially I work with the F-22 aircraft also known as Raptor. Logistics test and evaluation is the testing, documenting and evaluating the new systems. Noncommisioned officer in charge is that I'm the 'boss' of the enlisted members within my section. By the way I don't like the term boss but it's better than 'in charge'. I hope that makes sense and I didn't confuse anyone further. :)
Steph: that makes more sense, but now I have more questions if you have time and are allowed to answer. some of these are things I've always wanted to know (I know--I'm weird).

What is noncommissioned versus enlisted?

Do you have engineering training to do your job? Or do you oversee engineers? I've recently become more interested because my BFF is a pilot and she and her boyfriend have recently started an aviation fastener company. Not that I will ever fly in a small plane. No way--no how.

You got lactose issues too?

WE ALL HAVE LACTOSE ISSUES!!!!!

I would say its more like a Trader Joe's. They sell very few other brands, and sell their own brand as well. They concentrate on fresh foods. They also have a lot of ready to go things that are really yummy. I find them to be really cheap with certain things. Stay away from the dessert case. You can go broke there.

LIKE I SAID--HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE, BUT DON'T THEY ALSO SELL A LOT OF PRE-PREPARED MEALS AND SUCH? THE IDEA BEING YOU CAN STOP BY AND PICK UP DINNER ON THE WAY HOME AND JUST HEAT IT UP?

Come on June, hurry up.

AGREED.

My local Fresh and Easy used to do all the bagging for us until recently. But they still do most of the bagging for me.

WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED?

Ok, as promised, here are a few pix of the Sweet Sunday event Cheryl, Doris, Brianne, DH(Chris) & I attended yesterday.

CAN YOU SEE MY FAT LIP (WELL FATTER LIP)? IT'S ON MY RIGHT SIDE.
Nice vest!

Ok ladies. Its coming down to the wire now. Who's gonna take one for the team and have the DIVA baby in time for the trip? Come on. Look at the ticker, time is running out. Speak up and be heard. Come on, you know you wannna.

YOU CRACK ME UP--LEAVE IT TO YOU TO REMEMBER THIS!

Hey--how'd ya know my nickname?????

(Hello. Bathroom wall, remember?)

(In my opinion you aren't missing anything. They didn't impress me much.)

I think we should make them stand in line and order for "ALL" of us while we stand back and giggle.
Actually, I'd totally take everyone's order and money, and happily wait in line just for the fun of seeing the person's reaction when I order like 20 sundaes. :lmao:
