We want to eat at GF, but will only have 1 TS to spend:eek: during free dinin! That leaves Park Fare or GF Cafe. I keep going back and forth between the 2 as I have eaten at neither. My favorite restaurants are Coral Reef and Kona (which we are probably doing this trip) note: Crystal Palace was just ok. BTW our party will be 2 near 50yo sisters - so I was thinking it might be fun to see Cinderella's step sisters. Then again I've read the PF is noisy and the food is not always great? GFC has mixed reviews too? HELP!

I haven't eaten at GF Cafe for quite a few years, but it seems to consistently get good reviews and I remember liking it a lot. We ate at 1900 Park Fare a few weeks ago and were disappointed overall. The characters were good, and part of the problem may have been where we were seated (WAY in a corner, not in the big part of the dining room) but the food was really lacking. The salad was okay, and the strawberry soup was wonderful, but the main course foods really weren't very good at all. It was one of those I'm glad we tried it once but won't go back kind of places.

You know what, I've eaten at Coral Reef and loved it, but I'd ditch that ADR combine it with this one that's swinging in the wind and book Narcoossee's at the GF. You won't look back I promise you that. Try to book it for later in the evening for a chance to see Wishes from the deck, just a fabulous evening.

Be sure one of you orders the Almond Crusted cheesecake dessert. I'm not a fan of cheesecake and even I loved this dessert. :thumbsup2

Well thanks for the replies. My Sis wants to eat her birthday dinner at Coral Reef and she also wants to eat at GF, just to see it. So, am now thinking we will do the Tea there before the MNSSHP. That leaves me with 2 other TS credits. Love the Narcooses idea. A friend of mine went to Disney and she said this was the only restaurant that she liked :scared1:. Her inlaws picked up the tab - I bet she didn't realize how much $$ they spent on the trip!!

If you don't want to spend both those credits at Narcoossee's, then I would drop Kona or tell your sister about Narcoossee's for her bday. It will be magical to say the least. We ate at both places and didn't leave a thing on the table at Coral Reef and we would trade CR in a hearbeat to return to Narcoossee's.

BTW not sure if you/she were thinking of getting a diver sign for her bday, but Coral Reef no longer does those.

we really enjoyed the Grand Floridian Cafe...lovely decor, good food & good service. Click on the link to my January dining review (below in my signature) for pictures. My steak was excellent, DH's shrimp/pasta was excellent. And the dessert sampler was outstanding.

My new fave adult beverage at Disney, the blackberry mojito, was found at the GF Cafe! Have tried to get a similar drink at many places since then, and no luck...guess I have to go back in two weeks to get another:rotfl:

My parents (age 55 & 60) really enjoyed the GF Cafe. It is a lovely setting and good food.

They have a nice bread basket and the desserts are mini so you get to try two on the DDP.

My Dad generally orders the steak (and sometimes my mom and I do as well) but we've also have the shrimp pasta (very good) and the pork with gnoochi (pork was okay but the gnoochi was excellent).
