Those old pictures Caitlin posted sure bring back some memories! Unfortunately I don't have any pics from my first 3 trips as my DM still has them all. When I think of Caitlin's visits many things come to mind. Her first trip she was only 2.5 and what I remember most was how well behaved she was and how she met people from around the globe. She was an early talker and just started talking to whoever was in line in front or behind us. People were guessing she was 5 since she was so articulate! Her trip at 5 was truly magical ! We did HDDR, the Luau, Character beakfasts and she was chosen to pull the sword out of the stone! She believed that made her the ruler of the MK! Sadly we have no pics of that because our family had split up and her dad and I were in Tomorrowland with the camera! We were so upset when we found out what we missed! That same trip we met a character handler and started talking and he would tell her what character was coming out and exactly where to stand so she could meet them first! We must have met 10 characters within a half hour with no wait times! That was really fun! Its hard to believe that was 13 years ago and she's now in college. Time goes too fast! But enough of the reminiscing since we only have 7 DAYS til we go back and make new memories!!

I think we have lost our readers. We haven't heard from anyone in a few days. Anyone still with us? Well I hope you're still out there and we haven't bored you away!

We are at 6 days now! I must admit this swine flu thing is getting to me a little bit.If we weren't flying to WDW next week none of this would be worrying me BUT since we are I am a tad nervous. We aren't cancelling but we are taking some extra precautions. I have stocked up on Purell and put Clorox wipes in the suitcase to wipe down the room and door knobs. DH and Caitlin think I'm a little nuts but better safe then sorry! I am also considering renting us a car. I think being on an overly crowded bus packed in like sardines might make me just a wee bit paranoid. Hot Wire has some great prices since it's such short notice. I will need to decide this weekend though. So...if you are still out there...does anyone have any words of wisdom about avoiding the flu?...should we rent a car or stick it out on the buses?

Im still here! I have such fond memories of the characters dressed up in futuristic outfits @ epcot!! I was around 4 but it was so cool looking back and being able to run up to a character without lines!

Hi! Glad to hear you're still with us! One of the things that stands out to me about those pics (besides aging ) is how much the characters have changed too! They all have different outfits and Hook looks completely different. It was fun back then how characters just roamed around and there weren't so many lines.

Don't forget to go and meet Buzz and Woody in Pixar Place right across from TSM. When we went there was almost no line. I think it opens at 10am.

Hi and Welcome ! That 80's trip (not sure if it was 85 or 86) was Workaholic's first time. He fell in love with it and is almost as big a fan as Caitlin and me. We will have to take him to see Buzz and Woody's new place. When we were there in Dec. we were so focused on TSM we totally missed that! I've seen other people's pics and it looks really cute!

I think renting a car is a great idea. Not so much because of disease transmission (although I can see that concern), but because it makes travel everywhere a bit easier. It also allows side trips to the nearest walmart/food store for anything you may have forgotten or for beverages!

Glad to see you're still with us! I am leaning towards getting a car. Not only can we avoid the overcrowding but you're right it is nice to be able to go offsite if need be. Last year after I dropped the camera in the water we would not have been able to replace it if we hadn't had a rental car to get us to Walmart. Now that our trip is so close the rental price is half what it was when we booked the trip!

Hi there! Glad you found us! My DH likes to "pretend" on occasion that he tolerates Disney too but we don't buy it! He is just a big kid and totally gets into it!

Only 3 more days! I can't believe it! The time has just flown by! I can't believe we're already going back! But now that this trip is all ready what will I spend my time planning Another trip of course! DH called the travel agent yesterday and booked us our very first trip just the 2 of us! When we went in the 80's we went with my DF who was on business.We've since gone many times as a family but this is a first! We haven't taken even a weekend away since Caitlin was a baby so this is completely new to us! We are staying just 3 nights at Pop (might actually make it there in Sept) with Free Dining and we'll catch the Food & Wine Fest and MNSSHP! I'm so excited! We'll miss little Shopaholic but I promised her we'd go at Halloween after she graduates college. So now there's another trip to plan and most importantly we must decide what to wear to the party?!! Anyone have any ideas? I'd love to hear them!

I really wanted to go to disney during the start of F&W, but I have a coworker her is leaving that week for a 3 week safari, and I'm not talking the Animal Kingdom type. So, alas, I had to go the week before. Poor me. Actually, I really hope it is a slow week. So Far we are still staying value. No recent urges to upgrade!

Only 2 more sleeps now! It is really getting close! Yesterday I called down to WDW and ordered a couple suprises for 2 of our dinners! I'm so excited! But sshh it's a secret so don't tell Caitlin! Ok yeah she knows I ordered something but she doesn't know what. Hopefully this makes up for last year. What happened last year you ask? Well long story but here goes..... Last year we were in WDW celebrating Caitlin's graduation and I had preordered a graduation cake. However, on our first day there our dog got hurt. She somehow managed to turn on our bathtub faucet and then freaked out and ran through the screen door and my when my DM came over to feed her (she lives 5 mins away) she found her stuck! And bloody! We thought we'd have to go home so we cancelled all our adr's that we'd spent months planning! Well my DM & DSF, my DF and a friend of Caitlin's all graciously took turns caring for her (she had to be given meds and have ointment applied to the wound) and we ended up staying (at their insistance) and had a wonderful yet slightly stressful trip. But no special cake so hopefully a special treat will make up for that and also celebrate her great first year of college. As for our dog... she healed beautifully after recieving lots of TLC! She is 14 and we love her to death and have been begging her to stay out of trouble this time! Hopefully some will keep her out of trouble! Well if I'm leaving in less than 48HOURS! I better go get some done!

Thank you both! Well 24 hours from now we will be on a plane headed down to the Happiest Place on Earth! I can't believe we'll be back there tomorrow! I'm so excited!!! I have been busy this morning! I have already gone through the airline check-in process and printed our boarding passes and gone to Steve Soares and placed his entertainment times in our itinerary. I then retyped and printed the new and improved itinerary. On most of our trips we have bi-passed the live entertainers in Epcot in a rush to catch the "rides". But when we were there in Dec. my DM was in a wheelchair and it forced us to go at a slower pace. We actually stopped and smelled the roses and we found out how much we'd been missing! We caught almost all the holiday storytellers, a part of an Off Kilter show, the French Waiter and the WS Players. We loved it all! I made sure I put showtimes in this itinerary so we can enjoy more of what Epcot has to offer. In MK I added the times for the new Stitch show in Tomorrowland. This should be fun since it supposed to be similar to Turtle Talk with Crush which is great fun! I have more to do to get ready so I should go get busy!
