I am new at this so if this does not seem workable please let me know. :)

Since so many of our favorite Disney movies (and rides) originated from books the layout must include a book (or a book related item) that ties in to something Disney as the main element.

I have included a book template if anyone wants to use it but this group is so creative that I expect to see things I never expected! ;) A good friend of mine is a Creative Memories consultant, maybe I can talk her into picking a winner.

Have fun!

Cool Idea!...I knew I had been saving those Baloo and King Louie pictures for some reason. ;)

Let the creating begin!:goodvibes

Ooooh, this will be interesting and quite a challenge. I've got to think about this, but I'll come up with something!:thumbsup2

I've definitely got to think on this one, but I've already started pulling some stuff together. :goodvibes

Quite a little challenge... OMG! I'll have to really think on this.. first thing that comes to mind is for DH... so we will see this....

This is very interesting. Way to challenge us Bob! Thank goodness Saturday is NSD. I will have all day to come up with something.

I don't know if this one has enough "book" to it, but I had a lot of fun making it!

p.s. Some may recognize the final words on the bottom of the page...

It's from Reading Rainbow! Another of my favorites when I was a kid. ;)

Cute page Junebug.

I worked on this challenge today. I ended up with a 2 page layout and I even used some swap pieces!! I think it meets the requirements.

ChallengeBook002.jpg

The book at the top says: "There was a boy who wished to become king by pulling out the sword from the "Sword in the Stone. Read onward to see if this boy is destined to be king."

Under the 1st picture it says: "His first attempt at removing the sword occurred in April 1995. He was unable to pull the sword out."

Under the 2nd picture it says "He tried again in September 1995. He failed again"

ChallengeBook003.jpg

the 1st picture says "Three years passed before his next attempt in 1998. As before, the sword wouldn't budge."

For the 2nd picture on this page it says "His last documented attempt was in 1999. No success. Will he return to try again?"

Then the book at the bottom says "To Be Continued."

This was a fun challenge!

JuneBugFL, that's the spirit, there's nothing like going first! :)

A really good use of the book idea and a great tie-in to the Little Mermaid (the first DVD I bought, many years ago). I didn't recognize the words at the bottom of the page (we don't have any children) but looked them up! ;)

DisneyIsTerrific, "once upon a time" is what the stories are all about, and a very nice use of the books for journaling! "To be continued" , the perfect book ending!

Great job so far everyone! I hope to work on mine today. I got so far and then had to wait for the pictures to be printed.

Junebug, I love the Reading Rainbow tie in! :thumbsup2

DIT, the progression LO is a great idea. I Just thought of doing a LO similar to that with DS's first holidays. :goodvibes

Anyway, I hope to post soon! :yay:

bumping up so it isn't forgotten!!!! Deadline is tomorrow!
I'm finishing mine today and will post by 5pm! :)

I am scrapping fast and furious today to get mine in! I had zero time this weekend. I hope I get it in! :goodvibes

Yay...done! This one took so long because of the little details. This was created with basic cardstock. The edges of the pictures are distressed and inked, as is the orange background sheet. The pages of the book are inked gold with a pen. The cover of the book is inked with blue to add dimension, but you cannot really see it in the picture. The JB stickers are Jolee's. The bookmark was made with a couple left over mickey head stickers.
