Just found out my husband has a business trip in Orlando in July! This means an extra surprise Disney trip for the kids! We'll be staying at the Embassy Suites July 12-17 (because it's on the company dime) and we're still debating where to stay July 9-11. Anyone know what kind of rate you can usually get on a deluxe resort with the AP discount in July?

Man I wish my dh's business trips could be in Orlando!

Today is the day I get to make my ADRs!!! :cool1: Finally. I gave my list to Concierge, since we are staying Club Level at the Poly, and have not heard back from them about my ressies. I know they have the list, since I have made several changes over the past few weeks:confused3, but haven't heard if they have made my ADRs. Should I call them or have I bugged them enough already?

Help!

Hmm...I've never stayed CL so I don't know how long it takes. But I would call and say something like "I just wanted to make sure you had my updated list for the ADR's we would like. Yes? Oh good, did you get a chance to make those yet?"

Blame it on us. Tell them the weird people on the internet want to know. :rotfl:

Thanks for the advice!

I actually waited 1 whole minute after posting to call them.;)

I got all my ressies so far :dance3: except for Ohana. They said they are still checking on that one. I'm sure I could fool around with dates to get that one, but I got everything else, including LeCellier and CA Grill!

I'm so excited!

Should I really push for Ohana for dinner? Is it really, really good? We are staying at the Poly and have ADRs for Kona (BLD) as well as Spirit of Aloha. What do you think?

We will also be driving from TX:scared1:...My DH loves to drive and because of a nightmare of a honeymoon flight (long story) we decided we would drive and take our time driving down, we are leaving the 9th and planning on 24 hrs for the drive:scared1:! I'm just to excited to care :yay:

How exciting! Our first family trip was last year and we drove from NJ! It went a lot smoother then expected, so don't worry too much!

Welcome! I'm a fellow Texan now living in Florida. Drive isn't too bad, we drove separate cars, one kid, and three dogs and we made it. We did take our time though. I didn't recognize your towns name, what part of the state? And 5 and 3 are wonderful ages for the princesses to be at WDW!

I think last summer it was about 35-40% off. We paid around $275/night at the Boardwalk. That was July 3-10.

Hi! On our first family trip two years ago we stayed in the ASM family suites and loved it! We would have gone back again there this time but the inlaws are coming too so we got two adjoining rooms so we call all be somewhat together!

Just had to share with you all who understand the excitement!

Called this am to get my ADRs and I got all that I wanted within 15 minutes of my desired time. We are doing restaurants that we haven't done before (all but one). This is what we have:

7/26 T Rex
7/27 Sanaa
7/28 O'Hana breakfast with Lilo & Stitch
7/29 Cap'n Jacks
7/30 O'Hana dinner
7/31 Kona Cafe

It is starting to feel real now!!

Welcome to the thread! We will be at Allstar Music with you. Maybe we will run into each other. Since this is your first trip down please feel free to ask any questions about what you might expect or how we plan for our days. Please ask away. I would love to have yet another reason to talk about anything Disney. Lois

We live about 45 min SE of San Antonio. My girls are so excited! Tonight my DH found this green laser light and was shining it on the wall in the living room all the sudden my girls looked up and started screaming that it was tinkerbell. It was so cute we hard a hard time not laughing. They tried to chase her and finally she said goodnight. I'm sure she will appear severel times before our trip!:wizard:
