Okay everyone!!! We just got back! We ate everywhere like Chef Mickey's to O'hana's without reservations and rode everything and saw every show! I have Wonderful pictures of the resort I have to figure out how to post them. We even went Parasailing at the contemperary resort!!! Our trip was GREAT! :cool1:

That's awesome! :cool1: So glad you had fun.
Welcome home!
How was parasailing? How did you like the Poly?

We loved the Poly! So Many ways to get to and from resort. We did online check in got there at 11:00am and our room request was met and room ready. No wait at all. We stayed on the 3rd floor of the Tahaita building. Not far from anything. Our view was wonderful.

Here some pics I took of the resort.

ALOHA! DB and I will be at the Poly in Aug ....staying on the CL for the first time! So EXCITED! I was wondering...we booked the Garden View CL (just couldn't spend the $$ for Lagoon view) but were hoping that maybe we would get upgraded to Lagoon (it's our 3rd anniversary)? Has this happened to anyone or am I just inhaling too much pixie dust:wizard:.
Thanks!

It's possible if they aren't sold out for those rooms when you arrive. Make sure you mention the anniversary when you book and if you already booked and didn't mention it, call back. Also mention it when you arrive! Smile too! CM's tend to be more willing to go the extra mile when they see how happy you are.

How far out does the current bounceback extend? When we go in 3 weeks I'd love to find a bounceback that we could use the first week in December. DH knows I'm wishing for it but don't know if he'll give his OK.

Ours was good thru Dec 24th. :)

Great pictures !!

Alrighty gang, we're off. 6 more hours and I should be overlooking the seven seas lagoon from our LVC room. Thanks for all the advice and tips, and special thanks to mmmears !

I'll report back with pictures in a week :cool1: !

Yes, we were upgraded last July! It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we were upgraded from GV to LV. We had room 3502 and it was the best room we've had in Hawaii so far. Just steps away from the lounge with a picture perfect view of the lagoon/castle. Make sure you get the anniversary pins and wear them. Everyone will wish you a "happy anniversary"! It's a lot of fun!!:cheer2:

Love your pictures, kandcmch. Wish I was there right now!

Have a great trip! I gave all the stuff to the CM in Hawaii this morning. :)

April 2009 - brentalex (April 17-26), aroundtheriverbend (April19-26), Tiltowhirl (April19-26th), CAJUNWDWFAN (April 26th to May 3rd), mmouse37 (April 25-28) sm04 (April 18-25) lissiesmum (April 25-May 2) Grace&Carolinesmom (Apr 23-30), tinkerbellie16 (April 24 - May 1), twinglesmfp (Apr 22-29), DisneyDreamer2 (April 27th - May 2nd),
Maukey (April 29th - May 6th), Tiffany_PartyOf7 (April 29-May2)

Here's to hoping some of us meet at our favorite resort. We have so many overlapping days, it's bound to happen.:cool1:

I will be the chubby white lady (sorry in advance for my EXTREME paleness that may blind those close by;)) with brown hair accompanied by 2 adorable daughters Grace(10), Caroline(8), and DH (6ft1" with curly light brown hair and a beer belly).

We leave on Thursday. Safe travels to those leaving soon.:goodvibes

O.K. I'm having doubts about our travel dates.

Booked for November 15th - 22nd, but UG has some pretty high numbers during that time. November is typically cooler (which we like) and most of the Christmas decorations are up (again something we like).

Thinking about switching to October 25 - November 1, UG numbers are lower for that week and weather should be warmer (good for swimming). Would be there for Halloween, and would miss out on the Christmas decorations - plus the kids would miss Halloween here at home. We'd probably do MNSSHP though to make up for that (we've done MNSSHP before and it was great).

Opinions/thoughts/suggestions?

Oh yeah, the reason for these dates is also because we have a 40% pin code.

Thanks

I haven't been during either of those times, so I can't comment on experience, but I know my 6 year old would LOVE to be there for MNSSHP - she would gladly give up Halloween here at home for that. I specifically asked her her opinion and she said she would rather go for Halloween than see the Christmas decorations (now if the choice was to actually be there at Christmas, it might be a different story! ;))

BTW, 40% code - SWEET!!

Good luck deciding!

I know, I know... such a hard decision!

We've been there during those dates and it was great! Weather was perfect and the crowds were very manageable! ::yes::

We have stayed CL at YC, GF, and Poly. They are all very nice. They all have their plusses. We are in a LVCL room at the Poly now, and we have the best view ever. It beats our views at the other 2. Just depends on what matters most to you.

I suggest that you check out the club level thread and the club level lounge photo threads -- it may be helpful in making your decision. :)

Thanks - both mmouse37 and mmmears - I'll take a look at the club level threads right now. :)

We've been in both time frames and I think they're both delightful. The weather in Nov can be a bit iffy for swimming but most days are sunny and warm.

I would think avoiding the MK on Halloween would be a good idea.

I wonder why the UG has higher crowds for that week in nov? Is Jersey week later than usual this year?

We're booked for that same week. Exactly how high is high?
