New blog- Picnic in the Park

Thank you very much Kathy. I was interested in hearing about this. It sounds like you really enjoyed it.

Did you happen to find out if they accept the Table in Wonderland 20% discount? I doubt it since its considered a counter service meal, but was curious.

looks pretty good, decent price for what looks like decent food, I will definitely be trying that next time I am there

Kathy that meal looks great. Did you get to pick the sides and desserts. Will they accept child credits with adult credits mixed? If you could find that out I would really appreciate it. This looks like something we would probably do.

Kathy thank you for the pics. I was debating about trying that in August but after reading your review I think that will definitely will.
I do have one question do you have to pick all the same sandwiches or can everyone choose their own? Just curious thanks!!!

Thanks for the post, Kathy! This looks like a great idea for our July trip. We do love Flame Tree BBQ so it will be hard to pick!!!

I too am hoping to try this in August...we are going with 6 people my dd's sweet 16 vacation party so we do have a couple of extra kids in tow :rolleyes1 . that being said...the extra 20% off with my tables in wonderland (dde)
card would even make it sweeter :thumbsup2

This is going on my list to try next month. It looks delicious....

Are the bags available to purchase other than with the picnic meal? I am a sucker for bags! If this one is exclusive to the picnic meal, it is all the more reason to try it out.

Thanks for the blog and the great pictures! When I first heard about this, I was wondering if the picnic area had tables - silly, I know. But you cleared that up - looks like a great idea on Disney's part!

Meal for 8 in December :woohoo:

This is a great idea, especially for families!

I really like it when Disney thinks outside the box like this. We will definately try this when we go in May! :thumbsup2

I replied in Facebook, but I think my idea bears repeating here.

I thought that people who stay in DVC villas could really benefit from this, especially if they're staying at AKLV, since it's so close to the park. You can buy a chicken meal for more than your actual party size and head back to your villa. Any leftovers can go into the fridge.

Thanks!

I wish they had a meal for two. That is alot of food for a couple.

Maybe I could find a solo traveler to join us for lunch.

Are people who did not buy the picnic allowed to eat at the picnic tables?

That chicken looks awesome. I am hungry just looking at it.

I am shocked as anything that they made this a CS credit. I am assuming it is one CS for each of the people? How would they know if only one got it or three?

Sorry to repeat myself. Can you pick the sides and desserts or is it a set menu? Thanks
