Anyone visited ALL Disney resorts?

Hubby and I are planning a longer trip in 5 years time when we both have Long Service Leave (3 months fully paid leave... the only way we could afford it I think) and we will probably buy "Around the World" tickets as that seems to be the cheaper way to go. I am thinking that we will have to see if we can visit ALL of the Disney resorts around the world in that time. It sounds like a reasonable goal to me. Has anyone ever done that before?

I know that we would need more time in Disney World (never been before) as it has more 'sections' to see, but any suggestions about the other locations? We have plenty of time to plan, so there is no rush with your replies.

wow, that would be such a fantastic trip. Its actually a dream of mine to visit them all, so far i've been to WDW and DL Paris and doing DLR California in september so hopefully at some point i'll get to visit the other two

Wow that would be such an amazing trip! We have only been to wdw and dlr but are planning a trip to dlp in a few years when the munchkins are a bit older. How exciting for you! Sorry I dont have any trip advice at this time but just wanted to wish you a safe journey!

You might try the boards for the other parks...I know there are some folks who've been to all of them. What I remember from previous discussions is that Tokyo requires about the same amount of time as DLR and that Hong Kong can be done in a day. Check the other boards...I'm sure you can get firsthand info there!

My husband and I have done that trip twice, with the exception on Hong Kong, because that park was not open when we went. We did the trip for our Honeymoon in 1993 and then again for our 10th wedding anniversary in 2003. We started at Disneyland, went to Disney World, DLP, then Tokyo. The first trip we also went stopped in Hawaii after Tokyo on our way home. We did the trip each time in about a month. You are correct in the fact that a round the world ticket is a better price than just going to Europe and back. The second time around we had enough frequent flyer miles to get two free first class tickets and we are DVC members so we didn't pay for the hotel stays except for in Tokyo, because in 2003 they were not allowing DVC stays in the hotels there, but they do now. We did DL and DLP is a shorter amount of time and spent more time at DW and TDL. We had also been to DLP numerous times before, and spent time in Paris before. So we wanted to spend more time at the TDL and in Tokyo itself. And DW is so big you need more time there.

Disneyland Resort Paris also takes about the same length of time as DLR - I've visited many times. We usually stay for 4 or 5 nights, but both of these give us plenty of time for repeating our favourite attractions, so you could easily cut it down to 3 or 4 days.

A number of the rides are very similar to those at DLR (peter pan, tea cups, snow white, pinnochio), so you'll feel right at home and could probably skip a couple as they only have very subtle differences

That is a trip we have talked about doing. DH is not quite enough of a Disney fan to want to do it and no friends can take the time off that would be needed.

So far I have been to DL, all WDW parks, and DLP.

An "Around the World" ticket would be the ideal way and would be sooo much fun!

Haven't done it all in one trip, but I've visited all parks except Hong Kong. Stupid job lay off got in the way of that trip!!!

Anyway, since the focus of the trips was not Disney (not by my choice LOL) I was only allowed 3 days at DLP and 2 days at Tokyo Disney. I was able to see everything I wanted to but would have liked 1 more day to revisit some favorites.

Tokyo and DLP have relatively the same size resort-wise as DL, more or less. So 3 or 4 days there is sufficient. Hong Kong only has one park and it's the smallest of all parks, so that you only need a day, two at most.

Too bad we don't have the time/money right now.

However, we've been to all the parks except for Hong Kong and the Disney Studios in Paris, that one opened up right after our last trip to Paris. We'll be visiting HK in May (with a side trip back to TDL and TDS) . Traveling around the world with the explicit purpose of going to a Disney park...gotta love it...

I have done both US parks many times and I almost went to DLP a few weeks ago but couldn't find the time. I am hoping the next time my DH has to travel to England for work we can try to fit in a few days in France to see the parks and drink wine

This is my first post to this board!

I've been to DL Tokyo, DLR and WDW -- all within the last year. I agree that DL Tokyo can be done in a day. However, they also have Disney Sea, which is an adjacent park, like CA is to DLR. Unlike DLR, you can't buy a one-day Park Hopper ticket. You can buy a two-day, two-park ticket but you can't jump from park-to-park. At least that was the case when I was there last May.

My mother leaves for Paris in about a week. She plans to spend a day at DL Paris. I was in HK when Disney HK was being built. Between my mom and I we've almost got all of the parks covered .

As an aside, I prefer DLR over WDW. There's something about the original park that I simply prefer. Also, DLR still has Mr. Toad ;-). Oh, and I think the DLR fireworks are better.

I have done all of the parks except Hong Kong (not in the same trip though), and since my sister in law is from there, I know that it will come, just not sure when....I am thinking when they add more things. For some reason, I am not in too much of a hurry to get there until more attractions are put in.

I did do a big back to back trip including Disneyland, a 15 night Disney cruise and then a week at WDW...so all in all it came to a month trip for me (the rest of the family did not stay for WDW). And although I can NEVER get burned out by too much Disney, I found myself skipping rides at WDW because I had already just been on them at Disneyland---mostly just Fantasyland things though, and I KNOW that it would have been too much for DH and my kids! LOL
When I went to Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea in 2006, I had been on a DCL cruise and Disneyland and WDW all seperately and within a few months of each other. I know that this is going a little off topic of what the OP asked, but be sure to pace yourself and mix some other sites in between like at Paris and Tokyo so it doesn't get too overwhelming.

Something that was VERY important for me was staying onsite at Tokyo Disney. Staying at the Mira Costa made it so that we could get into the park and wait at a location that was far ahead of the masses at the turnstiles...and they camp out! That park is almost always crowded, so if someone wants to make their time there as efficient as possible, that would be the way to go....and the most convenient too. I was there 3 days, and that amount of time was perfect for the 2 parks.

That would be such a fun trip! Have fun planning!

We have done all the parks at the same time except Hong Kong because it was not open yet, but we have not been in a huge hurry to go there since it has opened for the same reason as you. We are waiting for them to open more things. We figured the 3rd time we do the round the world trip to all the Disney parks would be on our 20th anniversary, since we did it last on our 10th, and by then there would be enough open in Hong Kong, so we would be including that park in our trip then.

Hmm... I'm 15 and have visited DLR and WDW I feel pretty accomplished lol
I will hopefully be visiting DLP here within the next 2 years (I'm taking French right now and were gonna go on a all girls trip to France )
DLT and DLHK will have to come at another time lol

Welcome!

That's good to know about Tokyo. Do you mean that the DL Tokyo park itself can be done in one day, or the whole resort? Either way, if I visit, I intend on spending a hefty 4 or 5 days at least.

In the summer of 2012, I'm planning for a Europe trip, which will loop me around London, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, and ultimately, Paris, of course!
