Hopefully a simple series of question(s):

If you don't use your current years points within 4 months of the next years new points you must bank them?

If you make a reservation and then cancel the reservation can you bank the points after the 4 month window?

Contracts
150 points OKW October UY
200 points BLT June UY

If you bank your points at lets say on the OKW contract for 09 then can you use them at the 11 month window for the BLT contract staying at BLT or would you have to wait until the 7 month mark? Thanks

No, you don't have to bank them. But you probably should, because once you pass the banking deadline, the points must be used in that UY or they are lost.

NO. If you are thinking about making a ressie after your banking deadline, it might make sense to bank first, then borrow points from the following year. Many DVC owners use that strategy to avoid losing points.

In either scenario, if you have to cancel, the points are use or lose by the end of that UY.

The 11-month window applies ONLY to the points from that resort. You can mix and match at 7 months, but not at 11.

I may be wrong, but with 2 different UY, you would have to use your once per year transfer to combine points at 7 months. You could book both resorts at 11 months, then waitlist at 7 months.

You don't necessarily need to tansfer. You can always make reservatons from each UY and then have those reservations linked. You wouldn't be able to combine points from each for a single day though so if you needed every single point and weren't doing any banking or borrowing then you probably want to transfer.
