*Hi Dis!!!!*

My name is Megan and I thought I would write a PTR/TR for my birthday bash in WDW!!!!

Some of you might be familiar with me from past TR. My first was from my college graduation trip in 2007 ( seems like yesterday whoa!), my WDW College Program- I was a FGIT at BBB MK, and my latest was my TR for my Internship at AK- Education Presenter at the Kids Discover Clubs. I have to apologize to my readers from my PI TR bc I had MAJOR computer issues and was unable to finish the report and needless to say I ended up with a new laptop as a result of all my issues

Anyways moving on to my PTR/TR. I'm a 24 yr old college graduate from PA who has decided to remain in FL after 2 WDW intern programs. I'm currently still at the MK..the castle, as a FGIT at BBB (fairy godmother in training at bibbidi bobbidi boutique). I'm hoping to teach in a FL after the economy gets better

Since moving to FL I have had MANY visitors which is nice because I'll get family/friends and then time alone and then they come and go so of course for my birthday my parents decided to come to visit

My birthday is 3/19 but due to work obligations my parents were are unable to come until this week Better late than never right? I was able to celebrate my birthday last week with my roommate...here is a picture of us at Epcot:

Welcome to my PTR Plans!!!!!

Like I said in the previous post, my parents are coming for a few days to celebrate my birthday! Here is the info for our trip!!!

March 26-30

CAST:

ME: THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!

Mom and Dad

..poor brother is sadly not on spring break from college that week and can't make it!!



Flights:

I will already be in FL but my parents will be flying in on the night of the 26th between 9:30-10pm. Due to my dad's new job and relocation (or lack of since the house has not sold in PA), mom will be flying out of Pittsburgh and dad out of Cincinatti.

HOTELS:

We have had a month of crazy hotel changes like you would not believe. I spent about 3 hours total on the phone with disney reservations haha. We were first of all going to stay the whole time at a moderate resort--based on what I could get for my cast discount.

When they were all booked my parents decided on a value because with only 3 of us this trip (brother in college not on spring break) we decided POP would be wonderful, if anything ASsports or movies and I booked that.

After thinking over and over dad decides he does not want to stay at a value (he never has never will type of attitude?) we decided on our fav--WL. We've stayed there 6+ times and consider it home so once again on the phone I go with disney reservations and it's booked.

After flights to FL are booked the parents relize it's stupid to pay for the first night at WL when they won't be there to enjoy it so back on the phone I go again to book a value or mod for Thurs 26th and end up with CSR (never stayed there before).

Well after everything was finally planned and in the works I could relax! until I get a phone call 3 wks before the trip (1st week of march). Mom called and said her boss has 2 days of unused DVC points and would like us to use them Instead of paying for 2 of 4 nights we can have 2 for free and pay for the DDP so they book SSR but I could not book SSR for the last night meaning we would be at CSR one night, SSR two nights, and WL for one night. Mom and dad agreed that was nuts and called DVC again and settled for OKW (we've never stayed there either). So back on the phone with reservations again and cancel WL and book OKW.

so FINALLY after a month, it's settled:

Mar 26-CSR
Mar 27-30-OKW

I don't think anyone has changed resorts that much EVER??!!!!

TRIP PLANS!!!!!!!

All of my friends/family think I should have been a disney travel planner or work in guest relations because of my knowledge of wdw and planning...not to mention the fact I love lists and planning!!!!

So here are our plans!!!!



Thurs Mar 26:

~I check in at CSR at an early time, hopefully Right now I'm off work and would like to enjoy the pool!!!!

~Dinner at Pepper Market or pool bar (name?)

~Head to the airport around 8:30/8:45 to pick up parents. Mom arrives at 9:30pm and dad at 10:00pm.

~Drive back to CSR and head to bed...ya right!




Fri March 27

~Get up super early, 6:30ish and drive to Kissimmee DMV to transfer my car to FL

~Breakfast at McDs or Bob Evans?

~Back to CSR to check out by 11 and head to OKW for early check-in hopefully!

~11am, head to DTD box office to get tix for Cirque Du Solei--one of my bday presents!!!

~Afternoon at OKW pool

~Dinner at Capt. Grille at YC...time depending on CDS show either 6:30 or 8:30 dinner

~CDS show depending on the time we get- 6 or 9 show.


Sat March 28

PARK DAY!!!!!

*9:00am, AK for park open! In my former internship we stood in the front of the park with bug boxes and props and my dad fell in love with the concept so he likes to go and see that now before rushing to see the mickey rope drop!

*Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ

*Head to OKW after lunch to shower/change and head to Epcot

*Dinner at Italy at 5:30

*Illuminations at 9:00


SUNDAY MAR 29

PARK DAY #2!!!!

*9:00, DHS park open!! and rush to TSM!!!!

*Lunch ADR at Teppan Edo Japan at Epcot

*Shower/change after lunch and head to MK!!

*Dinner at MK, Columbia Harbor House and Pecos Bills are favs!

*MK EMH till 12am


MONDAY MARCH 30

*Breakfast ADR at Ohana at 9:30, perhaps that time will change now that we are going to MK EMH, or not?

*PRAYING for a late check-out request at OKW so we can stay at the pool all day and shower in the room late afternoon

*Leave for the airport at 3:45/4:00. Dads flight at 6:30, moms at 7:00

Free DVC points are always a great thing!! Both my mom and dad agree they should have bought DVC YEARS ago but with them trying to move and paying rent in another state, their current house payments, and my brother's last year at college, money can't be spent on DVC right now, maybe in the future though!

I've see La Nouba before--last summer with my intern roomie and LOVED IT!!! I've always been a huge dance/gymnastics fan and was amazed the whole time so I'm thrilled to be going again and we get a great CM discount: 50% off category 2 if you buy the tix the day of the show

Glad to see you posting reports on the board again! I did the CP last semester and doing the summer alumni this may-august I read your CP report before I went and it helped so much with packing!

Sadly I do not get a schedule as a seasonal cm, I have to wait until fgit give me shifts that they do not want. I'm hoping to work though so maybe I'll see you!!!! Welcome!!! Yes, WL is my fam's fav resort! The first time we stayed there was in 1998-I was 13 and my brother 11. We were told that we were staying at POFQ-where we had stayed at many times before but pulled up to WL and after being "fooled" and just simply "looking" for future trips the guard asks what were doing and dad said SURPRISE WE'RE STAYING HERE!! and the next family trips after that we've stayed there. With my CM discount (50-60% off) we've been trying to stay at new resorts but WL will always be near and dear to our hearts, I would suggest it for any age, the pool is pretty fun too as well as the little "mouse" boats that you can rent and drive around the lake.

Hello to my few viewers that I have!!!!

I figured that as the trip comes closer and closer, I would write something in here to pass the time!!

2 more nights in my bed before my disney beds!!!!!!!

So to explain my title: "OMG MEGAN, YOU AND YOUR PACKING LISTS." I should explain it!! Pretty much I'm a psycho planner/organizer. If it has a list potential, I will make it a list. You can imagine the pages and pages of lists I had when I moved to FL..oh yes I had never thought it odd to make lists in college and high school...you don't want to forget anything right?

I guess my roommates are not huge list people and often make fun of my lists! Their reason is why does it matter because I'm usually packing to go to WDW and live 10 mins away if I forget something I drive to get it or home in PA where I can just buy it or already have it at home. My reasoning: why drive 20/30 mins and waste gas and just make a list and check it off, and there are just some things I would not want to forget when flying home so why not make a list?!

So naturally for this trip, I made a list. Yes, it's color coded and has codes of what goes in what bag. With one night at CSR and 3 at OKW,there is no need to haul a huge suitcase in for one night so I have an overnight bag, backpack for the park, big suitcase, and beach bag for the pool Over packing you say? It doesn't matter when you have a car which I love!!!!!


I can't believe in 2 little nights I'll be at CSR!!!! There will be plenty to do tomorrow. I work 2-8 but have to finishing cleaning the condo and pack!! Thurs will be a fun filled day!! I'm planning on getting my nails all pretty, washing my car (to make it daddy approved lol), and then laying out at CSR all day at the pool!!

Well I guess that is it for now. No pics to show, maybe by tomorrow night I'll have pictures of my suitcases for 4 days haha. Those are always fun?!

Well in 24 hours I'll be packing up my things and heading to CSR. I don't expect the room to be ready so I plan on finding a lounge chair at the Dig Site and calling it home for the afternoon. Did I mention it will be in the high 80s/low 90s this weekend?!

As I begin to cross and add things to my list-to-do, I almost forgot mousekeeping envelopes!!!! My parents have always been the non-creative type and would leave $20-30 on the table when we checked out but I argued that it might not be going to the mousekeeper working her buns off throughout the week-leaving surprises and such so we began to tip every day. The envelopes are now my job and I love finding and printing them.

This morning I woke up bright and early at 8 ready to find and print my envelopes! A fellow Dis'er found me xmas ones last Dec so I went on a quest to find the same thread and did! I ended up with 3 I liked. One for CSR, one for Sunday when we "check out" of DVC points and "check in" with my CM discount, and one for the day we leave.

So here's what I found!!

Finally, I took pics of my two birthday buttons. The one with the label is from BBB. As of yesterday we were allowed to create bday buttons with labels at the podium but now bc we're getting busy due to spring break we are no longer allowed to make them The other is one I created this past week using and old button.

Well, it's off to finish cleaning and head to work at 1!!

Megan I'm so glad to see you're back! It's too bad that your computer problems kept you from finishing up with your PI report. I hope that all ended on a good note I'm glad you were able to at least stay on at BBB for now. My DD has two good friends who finished up their 2 PIs and found themselves caught in the hiring *freeze* going on right now. One of them stayed on in the MK and is really hoping that it won't be too-o-o long before he can get back to a management position. Good luck to you with your job hunting wherever it might be
