Hi! I thought I saw a post saying there was a bus going directly to Downtown Disney? I've read soo many different threads...I've confused myself :rotfl: :rotfl:

Can someone give me info on getting to DD? Any suggestions on what to see/do there would be great too!

MANY Thanks!

The king rooms are spread around the resort. They are eventually adding 100 more king rooms. I know there are waterview rooms with king beds (we had one last year), but waterview rooms cost more than a standard.

An interesting side note about them adding king rooms. Last Feb. I stayed in 9625 with a friend (two doubles). This Feb. I stayed in the SAME ROOM with my DH. The renovated room was a King. Kind of freaky that it was the same room though :goodvibes .

Yay! I'm glad to finally have found the CSR FAQ thread again!

I've only been to CSR once (last May) but we will be having our 2nd stay this coming May. Can't wait! :cool1:

Anyway, I'm no CSR expert or anything, but we did fall in love with the place while we were there this past year. I'm happy to share our pictures and any answers I may know. I'm subscribing and I'll check in often.

Thanks, KatMark for your leadership!

Alan

Oh....I don't know if I'm the leader, but I will certainly continue to answer questions and add things as I find them out.

That is so weird that you got the same room! :cool2:

Yes there is a bus that goes directly to DTD. It takes quite a while though and during the day stops at Typhoon Lagoon first.

Hello all. 20 days left until our trip to CSR,,and I was wondering, there are hairdryers in the new rooms, right? I don't remember seeing one in pics, just wanted to make sure. :)

Thanks!!

My mother has a Gluten, soy and onion allergy, my niece is a vegetarian and my son has an allergy to food dyes! PM cooked foods to accomodate all of my families needs the last trips. It was funny they looked at me like ....and what is wrong with you.... waiting for me to say i was diabetic or something. They looked so relieved when I said I have no allergies! I can not for the life of me remember what my mother ate though. I know they made her rice, chicken stir fry type of dishes. They made my niece gorgeous salads, pastas, cheese pizza with veggies. She does eat dairy she is not vegan. My son I only restricted him from colored ices, candies, beverages so he was easier to feed.

This is really encouraging, thank you for posting! I was getting worried that my MIL and FIL weren't going to be happy with their food options this trip. We're getting the QSDP for one room but not for theirs. They don't eat enough. Anyway, should she just ask at one of the food counters for a vegetarian meal? She's a little hard of hearing, so I'll probably have to help her.

My kids will be so excited about the 1st time visitor buttons!!

Buzz, keep the reports coming. Thanks for sharing your vacation (and love of CSR) with us!!

Ooh, two of my kids will be first timers. Do we mention that at check-in? They would think buttons were cool.

We stayed here last July for our one year wedding anniversary and were upgraded to a Junior Suite. The resort is beautiful, but even better was the staff!!! We not only received a complimentary upgrade, but the manager (Roger Ploum?) sent us a gift basket full of goodies to our room as well!! They were amazing people! I have lots of pictures of the junior suite which I can add if anyone is interested :) The only downside is that we were there during a dance convention and the place was CRAZY crowded during the times between competitions.

First, congrats on the upgrade. We were upgraded to a junior suite in September for our 25th wedding anniversary and received a bouquet of flowers and other goodies.

Would love to see pictures...even though the rooms will all look different later this year.

Just wondering where they are now with the renovations at CSR. Especially interested in the Casitas section.

Any and all information would be GREATLY appreciated!

The last I heard they've moved away from the Casitas and are working on the Ranchos (6A--which is almost complete). The only portion of Casitas done thus far is the 4th floor of Casitas 1, 2 and 3.

I'm so glad to know they are renovating the rooms! While we were there we commented on how outdated & somewhat dirty they were. I will try to post my pictures this weekend.

For those who weren't as blessed as KatMark and I, the junior suites are basically just 2 connected rooms. One is a normal room and the second is a room with a murphy bed, wicker (uncomfortable!) patio chairs, a desk and desk chair, and a 2nd armoire and tv (and of course the second bathroom.)

Be sure to go up to the resort photos thread for the CSR and you will see what the new rooms look like. They are stunning...and we can't wait to try them in September when we are back with our bounceback for free dining. Oh, and I liked the wicker chair...I was very comfy in it. :-)
