Any tips for making our Honeymoon extra special? My DF's birthday will also happen while we're there. (June 20th) I've been lurking these boards for a while, and I know there's lots of info to be found! So, Hello from Michigan, and thanks for any help! :)

Welcome from another newbie!!!

I just returned from a very romantic trip to WDW. One thing we did that was particularly nice was sit on the beach at the Polynesian to watch the Wishes fireworks. You don't have to be staying there to do this.

Just grab a couple of beach chairs (they're all over the beach), drag them down to a more secluded part of the beach, get a couple of yummy Polynesian drinks (the passionfruit mojito was good), and watch the show. After the fireworks, don't go anywhere. The electrical water pageant goes by about 30-45 minutes later.

:wave2: On the same note you can book a Wishes cruise on Bay Lake and watch the fire works on the water facing the castle!pixiedust: It may not be very private because there are other boats on the water but the view is great and it makes a memory too!! :cool1: Have a great honeymoon!!!!

We also went to WDW for our honeymoon. Stayed at the Polynesian - great!
A few things that we liked/ worked well for us:
1) Make sure they know it's your honeymoon! They left roses in our room everyday :)

2) Make a dinner reservation at the Royal Table (Cinderella's Palace). We did this spur of the moment and ended up with a late meal which turned out to be the best thing! Our dinner time crossed with the fireworks show. We were able to see them right outside the wondow next to us! And, since we told them it was our honeymoon, they gave us 2 champagne flutes as a free souvenir!

3) Birnbaums used to have a book "Walt Disney World Without Kids." Great tips! We still have ours from 8 years ago, and just loaned it to a couple who went to WDW and came back engaged :)

Hello I am a new user as well, although my wife has just been granted DIS Veteran status. In the past few years we have gone to WDW multiple times most recently once in Sept and a spur of the moment in Dec.

We went for our "late" Honeymoon and stayed at the Yacht Club. I would recommend this for anyone who has an open budget. We sprang for the Platmium Package and were treated like Royalty. We each got a deep tissue massage, got to take some jetskis out on the Lake behind The Contemporary and even has a free dinner at Victoria and Alberts. We snuba dove in what used to be the Living Seas and got to play with the dolphins there too. The package also included a private boat on the Lagoon in Epcot for the Illuminations show. It was a great trip and they planned it for us too, which took ALOT of pressure off of our backs.

Believe me, my wife is now a Disney goddess and can help ANYONE find great deals and best kept secrets. Look her up her handle is ryanshana.

Thank you! We have a platinum package as well (it was my DF's Valentine's Day surprise for me) and we just received our first e-mail from our planner! I'm SO excited! :)
