Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

I totally send Marc emails with links with subject lines like, "Would your lovely wife look beautiful with this necklace?" "Leslie wants this for her Birthday." :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I'll have to see if I can some cat attack action photos because it really is comical. :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: That's awesome! I should totally start doing that!

I have promised myself that I am just about done shopping for this trip. The only clothes I may need is a pair or two of capri pants but I am going to wait to see what the status of that is until closer to my trip.

I received my bathing suit from Old Navy today. It was awful! It is so low cut that it is indecent. I can't wear it. It is being returned. :scared1: I think I can get by with my older one, we'll see as we get closer.

Continuing where we left off....

My super duper Mini Tripod! It folds to 9 inches which fits into my cargo sling beautifully. It also weighs less than 1lb. It opens up to 42 inches. I won't lie, it's not the most sturdy thing ever but it works for my purposes. I don't plan on leaving my camera on the tripod for extended periods of time and I want it just to steady the camera during fireworks and parades. I am very pleased with it.

It's a craft iron!! It's so cute and teeny and perfect for.....

Purchase #8

....iron on crystal Princess bling! Which will be used on the three amazing t-shirts that Jen and I are making.

Purchase #9

2 White T-Shirts and 1 Black T-Shirt for each of us. I don't have pictures of them but they are T-Shirts. I will show you the designs that we are using though. I am nice like that.

White T-Shirt for Friday
481363376_5Lrsk-M.jpg

I found the fairy graphics on ms.pinkpixie's design thread and then I put them together in paint so they could be on one T-Shirt.

Black T-Shirt for Saturday

I saved this graphic a long time ago, I've seen it in multiple places here on the DIS so I don't know who to give credit too.

White T-Shirts for Sunday

481363384_fyQKW-M.jpg

:lovestruc :lovestruc I love these designs! Miss Paula was kind enough to edit/enhance another DISers design that they no longer personalize. I love them and can't wait to wear them to Cinderella's Royal Table.

Jen is printing out the transfers since my printer still can't be installed on my computer. :headache: Then she is sending them to me and I am going to do the transferring and blinging. I am very excited!

Purchase #10

481359741_sistq-M.jpg

My first vacation book. I read really fast so I want to bring 2 to 3 fiction books and then one Disney book. I am trying to find smaller books so it won't add a lot of weight to my Cargo Sling.

Jane Austen Ruined My Life by Beth Pattillo
English professor Emma Grant has always done everything just the way her minister father told her she should -- a respectable marriage, a teaching job at a good college, and plans for the requisite two children. Life was prodigiously good, as her favorite author Jane Austen might say, until the day Emma finds her husband in bed with another woman. Suddenly, all her romantic notions a la Austen are exposed for the foolish dreams they are.

Denied tenure in the wake of the scandal and left penniless by the ensuing divorce, Emma packs up what few worldly possessions she has left and heads to England on a quest to find the missing letters of Jane Austen. Locating the elusive letters, however, isn't as straightforward as Emma hoped. The owner of the letters proves coy about her prize possessions, sending Emma on a series of Austen-related tasks that bring her closer and closer to the truth, but the sudden reappearance of Emma's first love makes everything more complicated.

In the end, Emma learns that doing the right thing has very little to do with other people's expectations and everything to do with her own beliefs. Laced with fictional excerpts from the missing letters, Jane Austen Ruined My Life is the story of a woman betrayed who uncovers the deeper meaning of loyalty.

Obligatory PTR artistic toiletry photo. :rotfl: I do need to get some sunscreen and more bobby pins for my hair.

So, I am pretty much set on making purchases for the trip. I am hoping to get all of my Disney trip stuff put away into my suitcases this weekend. That way for the big apartment move, everything will be in one place and I won't lose any of it. I am also hoping that if I "pack away" the Disney stuff, I will be more motivated to do some real packing. :rolleyes1

I'm going to leave you with photos of my cat chewed Disney Crocs. Good thing they don't fit me or I would be really, really mad at Ruby. I think she thinks she is a dog.

Needless to say, all of my Crocs have been secured where Monster Kitty can not get to them. :snooty:

Great update LL!!!

OOOH...I can't wait to see our finished shirts!! I'm glad you told me what days cuz I couldn't remember for the life of me!! This will make packing very easy!!

That book sounds wonderful. I'm so going to have to make a trip to the book store soon and see if I can find a copy of it! I really really think with my love of Jane Austen I would really enjoy reading it!

Can't wait to hear more!!! Sorry to hear about the swimsuit! I too have to look into a couple of pairs of capris and flip flops LOL!!!

Sorry your bathing suit was a no-go. I hate bathing suits. :headache:

Love the tripod... you took amazing photos without one... can't even imagine what you will come up with using one! :worship:

Oh boy... you're getting crafty. And you're going with bling. Too cool! Love all your DISigns. The princess silly faces are my favorite!

Jane Austen ruined my life... did you mention that before? Someone did and I put it on my list. But I have a confession. I've never read a Jane Austen book. What do you recommend I start with?

:lmao: obligatory artistic toiletry photo :lmao:

I have LOTS of pairs of shoes that look like yours. But then again I have a golden retriever... :rotfl:

Well, C. I have never read Jane Austen either. :scared1: Funny thing is, in High School I was in Advanced English Classes and we never read Austen but the regular classes did. I have been toying with getting one for my trip. I have read biographies on Jane Austen and seen a lot of the movies that are based on her books but I know that is not the same. :rolleyes1

I love my little tripod. I forgot to mention that I bought it at Walmart for a whopping $12.96!

Thank goodness! I was worried you were going to "disown" me. ;) Have you seen the Jane Austen Bookclub movie? Not so great. But did make me wonder about the books. I think I'm going to load one onto my Kindle to take on vacation with me.

What a bargain on your tripod!! :worship: Speaking of bargains... has Marc found any on TV's? I really want a flat screen!

I have promised myself that I am just about done shopping for this trip. The only clothes I may need is a pair or two of capri pants but I am going to wait to see what the status of that is until closer to my trip.

I haven't even begun shopping for our trip in earnest, yet! :rotfl:

Oh no!!! You don't want to be indecent at Walt Disney World! Connor still talks about the man in the speedo when we stayed at Pop!

How cool!!! I need to learn how to do that! One of my favorite episodes of Pushing Daisies had the two maiden aunts bejewelling a bird they had rescued. :lmao:

I love the shirt designs -- especially the Princess Jen and Princess Leslie ones. I can't wait to see how these turn out!

Oh, I think I need to read this!

Christine, you should start with Pride and Prejudice -- that's the best one -- I am very partial to Emma, also.

I liked that movie but it's wasn't super great. I like the guy, Hugh Dancy? Something like that, he's adorable.

He has not yet. He checked out Best Buy wasn't hugely impressed with their selection. I have limited him to 42". I can't believe how huge they are. I keep telling him anything over 42" is overkill for a our new apartment. :lmao:

I do not want to scare young children. :rotfl:

I have never done it before, I will let you know how it goes. The directions just say that you place them and then iron. Sounds easy!

Good to know. CP, that book I just finished Almost Home, reminded me of you for some reason you should check it out.

She really is!!

Thanks for the recommendation! I just downloaded it to my Kindle for $1.49!!

Let me know if he makes any decisions or had recommendations.

Great purchases!! Looks like you hit up the Target toiletry section or as I like to call it...the "Littles" section. Nice selection!

That book sounds really good. Let me know what you think after you are done.

They have some kind of fabulous Bling glue that you can use too. I'll have to ask Stacy what she used on our pixie dust bling because NONE of it came off...even after I washed the hoodie.

He is adorable -- he is also in Ella Enchanted with Anne Hathaway. Very cute movie.

Thanks! I will definitely go read the description on Amazon. I still haven't figured out my order.

Yep. I love that section of Target. I was waiting for a prescription one day after work and decided to pick them up. Oooh, bling glue! You will have to let me know what it is. Just in case the ironing doesn't work out well.

I hope you enjoy it!!! :goodvibes

Yes he is and Confessions of a Shopaholic which is the cutest I have seen him. Good Luck with your Amazon order!

oooh how was that movie? I want to see it but being the good wife that I am, I went to see Gran Torino last weekend. This weekend I will be sitting throught the Jonas Bros in 3-D :scared1:

Great purchases. Sorry about the bathing suit. Bathing suit shopping is not fun. The princesses making funny faces is hilarious.

I keep hearing how great the target aisle is but unfortunately we do not have one by us.

I might try a trip report. Just to be able to relive the fun.

We have boxes everywhere also. We planned our trip before deciding to move and now we might have to postpone.(I'm waiting until the last possible moment to cancel though) I keep telling myself a house is more important then Disney. Is it wrong to want my cake and eat it too?

Tammy

Great update!

I'm sorry your bathing suit didn't work out... they are tricky things! It took me forever to find a flattering bathing suit I was comfortable in but I finally got lucky at Land's End. They have some really cute things!

The Jane Austen book sounds really interesting. Those are just the kind of books I like to read on vacation, I might pick that up! And what a great deal you got on your tripod.:thumbsup2

The picture of your chewed up Crocs made me:rotfl2: .My dog has done the same thing... but to my UGGS!:scared1: I just about killed him LOL.
